Israel's Central Bureau of Statistics estimated in September that 40,600 Israelis departed long-term over the first seven months of 2024, a 59 percent increase over the same period a year earlier.
The Israeli Ministry of Immigration and Absorption said more than 33,000 people have moved to Israel since the start of the war...
The UK newspaper stated that after 7 October, many well-off Israelis do not feel Israel is the world's safe haven for Jews, as Zionist ideology promises it should be.

Gil Fire, deputy director of Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, said he has seen a trend of doctors leaving the country for good.
“Before the war, they always came back and it was not really considered an option to stay. And during the war, we started to see a change,” he said. “They said to us, ‘We will stay another year, maybe two years, maybe more.’”
Many Israelis are able to move because they have foreign passports, jobs at multinational corporations, or can work remotely.
“Thousands of Israelis have opted to pay the financial, emotional, and social costs of moving out since the Oct. 7 attack,” The Independent wrote, despite the military measures Israel has taken in the past year under the pretext of restoring security.
Israeli bombs and ground troops have killed over 45,000 Palestinians in Gaza, the majority women and children, while flattening much of the enclave in what is widely viewed as genocide.
In Lebanon, Israeli bombing killed over 4,000 Lebanese and wiped out many villages along the border while heavily damaging major cities, including Nabatieh and Tyre (Sour).
Despite these measures, Jewish settlers have not returned to their homes in Israel's north after they were displaced at the start of the war due to fire from Hezbollah.
In October, a poll found that 70 percent of Israeli settlers who were evacuated from northern settlements near the Lebanese border have expressed an unwillingness to return to their homes.

Militants from the British and US-trained fighters in the Revolutionary Commando Army (RCA) claim they were told, “This is your moment,” in a briefing by US Special Forces before the invasion to oust Assad began.
The Telegraph writes that “In the first indication that Washington had prior knowledge of the offensive, the RCA revealed it had been told to scale up its forces and ‘be ready’ for an attack that could lead to the end of the Assad regime.”
“They did not tell us how it would happen,” Captain Bashar al-Mashadani, an RCA commander, told the UK newspaper.

Madrid passed legislation in May forbidding the transport of weapons to Israel through its ports amid the ongoing genocide in Gaza
The US military sent over a thousand tons of ammunition to Israel on a ship that docked at a US naval base in Spain, despite Madrid’s embargo on vessels carrying military cargo bound for Israel, The Intercept reported on 17 December.
According to researchers from the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM) and Progressive International, a ship owned by Sealift Inc. docked at Naval Station Rota, which is located in Spanish territory but partly operated by the US Navy.
“Shipments through American military bases in Spain of military materials, which may be used in the commission of international crimes, are harder to detect,” Enrique Santiago, Spanish legislator, told The Intercept.
“If shipments of military material used in international crimes are made through American bases in Spain, and this fact can be evidenced, the people taking part in them would equally have criminal liability,” Santiago added.
Spanish officials passed legislation last May forbidding ships transporting arms to Israel to dock in Spain. Spain has prevented more than five vessels from docking at its ports under the policy.

The man apparently sat on a bench and watched his victim burn.
Police, who clearly had no clue what was going on, reportedly told the man who is believed to be Zapeta to leave the area, allowing him to get away.

The suspect was later noticed by a civilian on a subway in Manhattan.
