I now worry that the main AI "predictive policing", Palantir, with multiple ties to the incoming administration and the CIA, or an equivalent going to be rolled out with law enforcement nationwide under the guise of addressing staff shortages and "increasing efficiency." AI is already being used to write police reports and law enforcement management software like the very spooky Mark43 is already widely used by police departments, several of which have trialed Palantir's "predictive policing" functionality.
These AIs are not 90% accurate (absolutely less) but even if you believe those metrics, how do the erroneously targeted 10% explain their innocence for a crime that hasn't even happened?
Don't fall for the "convenience" and "efficiency" sales pitches, AI pre-crime is the end of liberty.

Ukraine’s ‘White Wolves’ Unit Fighting Alongside Extremists In Syria: Report
The Ukrainian special operations unit has been aiding armed groups fighting Damascus with the use of sophisticated drones
Ukraine’s White Wolves special operations unit is deployed in northern Syria alongside Hayat Tahrir al-Sham-led (HTS) militants who are waging an assault against the Syrian government in the countryside of Idlib and Aleppo, according to multiple sources cited by Al Mayadeen on 3 December.
There is “direct Ukrainian involvement … in ongoing battles against the Syrian army across the fronts of Aleppo, Hama, and Idlib,” Al Mayadeen’s sources said. “The Ukrainian units operating in Syria are part of the White Wolf group, which is affiliated with Ukraine's Security Service.”
The White Wolves unit is known for its expertise in the development and use of drones. It reportedly “controls the full range of drone weapons systems” in Syria.
“A deal was struck before the assault on Aleppo, between HTS and Ukrainian intelligence. The agreement reportedly led to the release of mercenaries – of Georgian, Chechen, and Albanian descent – from [HTS leader Abu Muhammad] al-Jolani's prisons, who were subsequently integrated into the Ukrainian unit stationed in northwestern Syria,” based on Al Mayadeen’s sources.
According to a source cited by Russian news outlet RIA Novosti, HTS and other groups’ use of advanced drones in sophisticated operations against the Syrian army “would not have been possible to master” without help from Ukraine.

Ukraine’s White Wolves special operations unit is deployed in northern Syria alongside Hayat Tahrir al-Sham-led (HTS) militants who are waging an assault against the Syrian government in the countryside of Idlib and Aleppo, according to multiple sources cited by Al Mayadeen on 3 December.

Conspiracy Theories Flood Social Media After Users Discover 'Creepy' ChatGPT Error
A peculiar ChatGPT glitch has sparked a wave of conspiracy theories online, after users found that the AI tool refuses to respond when certain names, including "David Mayer," "Jonathan Zittrain," and "Jonathan Turley," are mentioned in prompts.
Typing these names reportedly causes ChatGPT to return an error and terminate the chat, fueling speculation across platforms like Reddit, 404 Media reported.
The issue gained traction on the r/conspiracy subreddit, where users theorized about potential connections to controversial figures or secretive censorship. Some suggested that "David Mayer" could refer to David Mayer de Rothschild, linking the glitch to longstanding antisemitic conspiracy theories.
Others noted that Zittrain, a Harvard Law professor, and Turley, a George Washington University professor, are both prominent critics of AI systems. Turley has publicly accused ChatGPT of generating false and defamatory claims about him in 2023.
Both professors have published work included in a copyright lawsuit brought against OpenAI and Microsoft by the New York Times. However, out of thousands of authors cited in the lawsuit, so far only Turley and Zittrain have been found to trigger the error message.

President Biden’s top aides are reportedly weighing the idea of issuing pre-emptive pardons to current and former government officials ahead of President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration next month.
Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.), Sen.-elect Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and Dr. Anthony Fauci are among those being discussed as potentially needing a pardon before Trump takes office, according to Politico .
Fauci has been accused by Republicans and watchdog groups of lying to Congress about the origins of COVID-19 and his use of a private email account to do government business.
Cheney, an outspoken critic of the president-elect, was a leading figure in the House of Representative’s investigation into Trump’s role in the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the Capitol Building.

The 50-year-old CEO was outside of the Hilton hotel when a man came up to him and shot him in the chest, then fled into a nearby alley.
“UnitedHealthGroup was scheduled to start its annual Investor conference at 8 a.m. Wednesday, according to the company”
He was pronounced dead in the hospital.

Bullet casings found at the scene where UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was fatally shot in New York City on Wednesday, Dec. 4, reportedly had words written on them that bore a resemblance to a phrase about the insurance industry.
As authorities continue to search for the masked killer, police sources told ABC News that the words "deny," "defend" and "depose" were written on bullet casings. Those words are similar to "delay, deny, defend" — a phrase about the insurance industry to describe a strategy of rejecting claims.
The phrase echoes the title of a 2010 book Delay, Deny, Defend: Why Insurance Companies Don't Pay Out Claims And What You Can Do About It , by Rutgers University law professor Jay Feinman.
The book describes how insurance companies improve profits by “delaying payment of claims, denying valid claims in whole or in part, and defending their actions by forcing claimants to enter litigation," according to its description.
