Earlier this evening, Netanyahu's office claimed that the Israeli prime minister has "welcomed Egypt's willingness" to push for an agreement to release the Israeli captives in Gaza. Following meetings in Cairo, Netanyahu supposedly instructed the head of the Mossad to go to Doha, Qatar to promote several initiatives, with approval of the cabinet members.

In response, National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir's Office stated that he opposes sending a delegation, that this is not in accordance with the opinion of the Israeli government, and that military pressure on Hamas must continue – rather than giving it time to reorganize.

Similarly, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich expressed his strong opposition to the Mossad chief's trip to Doha, and slammed Qatar's participation in the talks. He called Qatar an "enemy state," as it supports Hamas and funds Al Jazeera, which is severely harming Israel's image. Palestinian Authority Rejects UAE Role In Post-War Gaza: Report
The PA advocates the unity of Palestinian territories – the West Bank, Gaza, and east Jerusalem – under a single Palestinian political, geographical, and legal sovereignty
The Palestinian Authority (PA) refuses any UAE involvement in Gaza's governance after Israel's war on Palestinians in the enclave ends, a high-ranking Palestinian official has told Al-Araby Al-Jadeed.
“The Emirati plan reached us through American channels, and we rejected it through those same channels,” a high-ranking Palestinian official who requested anonymity told the Qatari-owned paper.
Hussein al-Sheikh, Secretary-General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), conveyed the PA's stance directly to the US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, Barbara Leaf, during her recent visit to Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas refused a meeting with Leaf after learning she had no new proposals.
“We informed the US that the alternative to the Emirati plan is the unity of Palestinian territories – the West Bank, Gaza, and east Jerusalem – under a single political, geographical, and legal sovereignty, with the PLO as the sole legitimate representative,” said the official.

Israel launched air strikes on the Iranian capital Friday night. While the extent of the damage is unclear, the US is expecting Iran to retaliate.
Iranian media reported that some sites in the capital city of Tehran were targeted. A statement from the Israel Defense Forces confirmed the strikes. “In response to months of continuous attacks … The Israel Defense Forces is conducting precise strikes on military targets in Iran,” it said.
According to Axios , the US expects Iran will retaliate. “US and Israeli officials believe Iran will respond militarily,” the outlet reported, adding, “but hope it will be limited and allow the two adversaries to break the tit-for-tat cycle.”
However, the White House is concerned that Iran’s response to Israel will lead to a regional war. An official speaking with the Wall Street Journal confirmed that Tel Avi did inform Washington it was preparing to strike Tehran but did not specify how far in advance Israel warned the US of its plans.
The US claimed Israel’s attack on Iran was an act of self-defense. “We understand that Israel is conducting targeted strikes against military targets in Iran as an exercise of self-defense and in response to Iran’s ballistic missile attack against Israel on October 1st.” National Security Council spokesman Sean Savett continued, “We would refer you to the Israeli government for more information on their operation.”
