Fox News Reporter Trey Yingst Condemns Israel’s ‘Unacceptable’ Killing Of More Than 100 Palestinian Journalists
Fox News chief foreign correspondent Trey Yingst condemned Israel’s killing of more than a hundred Palestinian journalists, calling the death toll “unacceptable” in a documentary this week.
In his Fox Nation documentary Black Saturday , Yingst showed the extent of the destruction in Gaza since the beginning of Israel’s military offensive more than one year ago.
“There are so many neighborhoods that are flattened. Palestinians that are internally displaced will simply have no homes to return to,” he said. “And while we get a firsthand look at the destruction here, it’s important to remember that Palestinian journalists do not have this access. They have been pushed to the south. Dozens have been killed.”
Yingst continued, “There’s this false narrative about Palestinian journalists. More than a hundred of them have been killed by Israel since the war began, and I take very few positions in the conflicts that we cover, but let this be a position that I take. Journalists, specifically Palestinian journalists, must be protected amid the war. The Israelis have killed journalists in drone strikes, they’ve killed them with small arms fire, and it’s unacceptable.”
According to the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), 123 Palestinian, three Lebanese, and two Israeli journalists have been killed since the beginning of Israel’s war in Gaza.
“To date, CPJ has determined that at least five journalists were directly targeted by Israeli forces in killings which CPJ classifies as murders,” said the Committee in its most recent report . “CPJ is also investigating numerous unconfirmed reports of other journalists being killed, missing, detained, hurt, or threatened, and of damage to media offices and journalists’ homes.”

Georgia Environmental Official Collapses and Dies Near State Capitol After Testifying About Toxic Biolab Fire
A Georgia environmental official died after suddenly collapsing near the state Capitol on Tuesday during a public meeting on last month’s toxic chemical plant inferno outside Atlanta, officials said.
Kenny Johnson, the Rockdale County Soil and Water Conservation District supervisor, testified alongside business owners and leaders about the BioLab chemical fire in Conyers, about 25 miles outside Atlanta, which spewed clouds of hazardous chlorine gas and smoke throughout the area.
Shortly afterward, the 62-year-old collapsed and was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he died.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office said that due to the circumstances of Johnson’s death, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has agreed to investigate, 11Alive reported.
An official cause of death will be determined once an autopsy is completed.
After delivering his remarks, Johnson “complained of shortness of breath and subsequently collapsed in the hallway” after the meeting, according to a statement from the Georgia House Democratic Caucus.
....“Kenny dedicated years as the Soil and Water Conservation District representative and as an environmental justice advocate,” Davis said. “His unwavering commitment to environmental justice and his testimony on the effects of the Biolab chemical fire on the community remain etched in our memories.”
Johnson was one of a growing number of local Georgia officials and lawmakers calling for BioLab to shut its doors after the fire forced 17,000 to evacuate the area and around 90,000 more to shelter in place as the toxic plume spread.
“I knew that this was going to happen,” Johnson told reporters Monday. “We have an environmental disaster.”

And more than 150 hotels are still being used to house the influx at an average cost of $352 a room each night.

When lying on the ground, they pointed 2 guns at his head. The rest of the journalists exited the car and the military raided it, confiscating phones, cameras, and personal items...
The other four journalists were stacked on top of each other into a military jeep, and taken to a military base. There they were held blindfolded and handcuffed on the floor for two hours, while being insulted and interrogated by the soldiers. The soldiers told the female Israeli photographer that she should have been raped by Hamas.

Over 100 Casualties In Central Beirut After Israel Bombs Residential Buildings
With full support from the US government, the Israeli military has been laying siege to the Lebanese capital and regions in the east and south of the country
At least 22 were killed and 117 injured on 10 October after Israeli airstrikes hit two residential buildings in the heart of the Lebanese capital [Note: This is not the same massacre as the one that killed 22 people on October 11th in Gaza], leveling one of the two.
According to Hebrew media, the target of the attacks was Wafiq Safa, the head of Hezbollah's Coordination and Liaison Unit in the party's political arm. However, the assassination attempt failed, per Hezbollah sources who spoke with Al Mayadeen.
The first airstrike hit the third floor of an eight-story residential building located between the densely populated areas of Ras al-Nabaa and Al-Nuwairi in central Beirut, leading to multiple casualties, with at least 22 confirmed dead and 117 injured.
Shortly after, a second airstrike hit a four-story building in the nearby Basta neighborhood, destroying it completely.
Thursday's escalation marks the third Israeli attack outside Beirut's southern suburbs, following previous attacks on the Kola and Bashoura neighborhoods of the city.
Israeli airstrikes have razed large swathes of Dahiye, Beirut's southern suburb. Attacks have also continuously hit Lebanon's southern and eastern regions, killing well over 2,000 people and displacing about one million.
In the south of Lebanon, the invading army has also launched direct attacks against troops from the UN Interim Forces in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

Washington Keeps Silent After Israel Arrests US Journalist Over Report On Iran Attack
Jeremy Loffredo could face the death penalty for reporting on Iranian missile strikes that targeted Israeli military and intelligence bases used to carry out brutal assassinations over the past year

The US government has yet to comment on the case of Jeremy Loffredo, an independent US journalist who remains in Israeli police detention on suspicion of “endangering national security.” Loffredo may potentially face life imprisonment or the death penalty after reporting the locations where Iranian missiles struck in the attack launched by Iran earlier this month.
US officials refrained from commment despite a Yedioth Ahronoth report from Thursday stating that representatives from the US Embassy attended the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court for a hearing on the request of the police to extend his detention.
In his report, Loffredo stated that the strikes hit targets, including the Israeli military's Nevatim Air Base and an intelligence base in central Israel.
“Since the missile strikes, Israeli authorities have attempted to downplay the significance of the attacks, censored the locations of missile impacts from media publication, and claimed that Iranian missiles targeted Israeli civilians,” Loffredo stated.

The Grayzone, the outlet for which Loffredo has been reporting since his arrival in Israel, issued a statement saying police are officially holding him “on suspicion of serious security offenses for publicly publishing... the locations of missile drops near or inside sensitive security facilities, with the aim of bringing this to the notice of the enemy and thereby assisting them in their future attacks.”
The Grayzone added that Loffredo's report showed the aftermath of Iranian attacks on military and intelligence targets inside Israel, which were openly featured in reports broadcast on mainstream US news outlets ABC News and PBS, neither of which currently face such charges.
“He published the information openly and fully, without attempting to hide anything. If this information constitutes aiding the enemy, many other journalists in Israel, including Israeli reporters, should also be arrested,” said the attorney defending Loffredo, Leah Tsemel. “A spy would not have acted so publicly and transparently.”
Originally, the judge overseeing Loffredo's case ordered him released, saying that since Israeli military censors agreed to allow Israeli media to publish both "word of [Jeremy's] arrest and the publications that led to his arrest," Israel could “no longer justify his continued detention,” The Grayzone added.
However, Israeli police appealed this decision, and Loffredo remains in custody.
In March, Loffredo embedded himself among Jewish Israeli nationalists who were trying to block desperately needed humanitarian aid at the Gaza border. “They enjoyed pastries with the military while confessing to war crimes and cheering for genocide,” Loffredo reported.
In January, Loffredo reported from the occupied East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah, where he documented settler terror attacks on Palestinian businesses. He interviewed local activists who told him they feared arrest and beatings from Israeli police for speaking out against the assault on Gaza.

The US government has yet to comment on the case of Jeremy Loffredo, an independent US journalist who remains in Israeli police detention on suspicion of “endangering national security.” Loffredo may potentially face life imprisonment or the death penalty after reporting the locations where Iranian missiles struck in the attack launched by Iran earlier this month.
US officials refrained from commment despite a Yedioth Ahronoth report from Thursday stating that representatives from the US Embassy attended the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court for a hearing on the request of the police to extend his detention.
In his report, Loffredo stated that the strikes hit targets, including the Israeli military's Nevatim Air Base and an intelligence base in central Israel.
“Since the missile strikes, Israeli authorities have attempted to downplay the significance of the attacks, censored the locations of missile impacts from media publication, and claimed that Iranian missiles targeted Israeli civilians,” Loffredo stated.
