White House Ignored Warning From Pentagon, State Dept That Israel Was Creating A Catastrophe In Gaza

Recently released emails from Reuters show that officials in the White House ignored warnings from their counterparts at the Defense and State Department warning that Israel was committing war crimes and creating a humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Reuters reviewed emails from the Departments of Defense and State from last October, showing that high-ranking officials warned about supporting Israel as it committed war crimes in Gaza.

“As Israel pounded northern Gaza with air strikes last October and ordered the evacuation of more than a million Palestinians from the area, a senior Pentagon official delivered a blunt warning to the White House, the outlet reported. “The mass evacuation would be a humanitarian disaster and could violate international law, leading to war crime charges against Israel.”

The warning came from Dana Stroul, then the deputy assistant secretary of defense for the Middle East in an Oct. 13 email sent to senior White House aides. She explained an assessment by the International Committee of the Red Cross that had left her “chilled to the bone.”

Stroul and other officials were pushing the White House to...ask Israel to give Gazans more time to comply with Tel Aviv’s evacuation orders.

While the Biden administration claims that it did pressure Israel early in the onslaught... Reuters reports that the White House had little impact...

In one concerning email exchange, officials asked the White House to pressure Israel to extend the deadline for one million Palestinians to leave northern Gaza beyond 24 hours. A top Biden official, Brett McGurk responded by telling Egypt to prepare to receive refugees from Gaza. ..

Reuters reports the State Department’s top Middle East diplomat, Barbara Leaf, sent an email to White House officials including Brett McGurk, Biden’s top Mid East aide. Her main concern was the damage Israel’s onslaught in Gaza, along with US support, was doing to Washington’s relationship with its Mid East Arab partners.

McGurk interpreted the email as a request for a ceasefire and replied, “no.”

Sex Tapes of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs With 3 Different A-list Celebs Allegedly Exist: Attorney

Attorney Ariel Mitchell-Kidd, who represented one of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ accusers, claims she’s been told about the existence of three sex tapes featuring the disgraced music mogul and three other celebs.

“The individuals who contacted me purported to have three different tapes with three different celebrities, including Diddy, and then a fourth celebrity without Diddy but in a compromising situation with someone,” the lawyer claimed on NewsNation’s “Banfield” with guest host Laura Ingle Friday.

Mitchell-Kidd added that it is believed the person in the alleged fourth tape was recorded at one of Combs’ homes, and said the other three individuals were reportedly “A-list celebrities.”

The lawyer admitted, however, that she “has not seen” some of the tapes in question or their stills.

“I can’t attest to whether or not they exist or not,” she clarified, “I just was told initially that ‘they’ own this treasure trove of videos, so I have to believe that there are a lot of celebrities who know what they did ….”

...Mitchell-Kidd’s most recent claims about there being multiple sex tapes involving Combs was seemingly corroborated by a Department of Homeland Security officer.

The official, who took part in the raid on the “Last Night” rapper’s Miami home back in March, exclusively told The Post Friday, “There are recognizable names [in footage we obtained], but I won’t confirm any of their identities. But it’s more than just that one.”

The officer would not confirm whether any of the names are A-listers. However, it’s been widely reportedly that an explicit video containing a star even “more high profile” than Combs is being shopped around.

A source told The Post that the male celebrity is “horrified” over the situation, with an insider adding, “It feels like a betrayal and a violation, and it’s causing a lot of issues.”

“It brings up some really disturbing and bad memories,” the source continued.

Almost Half of Jewish Israelis, Nearly All Arab Citizens Think the Gaza War Must Stop, Survey Shows

A slim majority of Israelis believe the time has come to end the war in Gaza, according to a survey by the Israel Democracy Institute. Israeli Jews and Arabs agree that the war's main goal should be bringing back the hostages, not toppling Hamas. 45 percent of Israelis said that they are optimistic about Israel going forward

...Fifty-three percent of the 1,000 respondents said that they think that "the war should be ended." But that breaks down to 45 percent of the Jewish Israelis surveyed and 93 percent of the Arab respondents.

Among those identifying with the political left, 83 percent said they believe the war must end. In the political center, the figure dropped to 63 percent and among right-wing Israelis, just 27 percent think it is time to halt the fighting.

Vice President Harris Says Iran Is The US’s ‘Greatest Adversary’

The vice president also said the US 'must win the competition for the 21st century with China'

Vice President Kamala Harris has named Iran as the US’s top “adversary,” pointing to the recent Iranian missile attack on Israel, which came in response to multiple Israeli escalations.

When asked in her 60 Minutes interview which country she believed was the US’s “greatest adversary,” Harris said, “I think there’s an obvious one in mind, which is Iran.”

She continued, “Iran has American blood on their hands. And what we saw in terms of just this attack on Israel, 200 ballistic missiles, what we need to do to ensure that Iran never achieves the ability to be a nuclear power, that is one of my highest priorities.”

Harris was then asked if she had proof Iran had nuclear weapons and if she would take military action, and responded, “I’m not gonna talk about hypotheticals at this moment.”

While there is always much hype around Iran’s nuclear program, which is strictly for civilian purposes, CIA Director William Burns acknowledged on Monday that there’s no evidence Iran has decided to build a nuclear weapon.

Breaking: Torture And Abuse Inside Israel’s Concentration Camps.

A propaganda piece aired on Israeli Channel 13 featured footage from Ofer Concentration Camp, showcasing the abuse of Palestinian detainees by Israeli soldiers.

The report, led by journalist Yossi Eli, depicted Palestinians being beaten in what seemed to be a staged operation designed to boost the image of Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir.

The piece highlighted the cruelty inflicted on prisoners, the “operation” is a mere media stunt aimed at satisfying the Israeli public’s desire for brutality against Palestinians, while offering no real security purpose.

British PM Declares London 'Will Never Stop Selling Weapons To Israel'

The announcement comes a month after the Labour government suspended less than 10 percent of active arms export licenses to Israel

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer declared that his government “will never stop selling weapons to Israel” during a speech at the House of Commons on 7 October.

His statement came in response to a question by MP Zarah Sultana, who pressed Starmer on whether London would “finally do what’s legally and morally right and end the government’s complicity in Israeli war crimes by banning all arms sales to Israel, including F-35 fighter jets, not just 30 licenses.”

“No,” Starmer replied bluntly. “But it is a really serious point. Banning all sales would mean none for defensive purposes. None for defensive purposes on the anniversary of 7 October and days after a huge attack by Iran into Israel would be a wrong position for this government and I will not take it,” Starmer said.

His statement came during a solemn session to mark the launch of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood by the Palestinian resistance in Gaza, which saw the killing of about 1,200 Israelis – many of them at the hands of their own army under the Hannibal Directive.

Starmer’s assertion came days after French President Emmanuel Macron called for a halt on arms deliveries to Israel.

US Says It Doesn’t Want A Ceasefire In Lebanon, Supports Israeli Offensive

The State Department voiced strong support for Israeli military operations

The State Department said Tuesday that it doesn’t want to see a ceasefire in Lebanon and supports the heavy Israeli bombardment of the country to “degrade Hezbollah.”

State Department spokesman Matt Miller was asked about comments from Hezbollah Deputy Sheikh Naim Qassem , who said the group supports efforts by Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri to reach a ceasefire without mentioning that it must also include a ceasefire in Gaza.

“Now that Hezbollah is on the back foot and is getting battered, suddenly, they’ve changed their tune and want a ceasefire,” Miller told reporters.

Miller claimed the US “ultimately wants a diplomatic solution” but voiced strong support for Israeli military operations, which have killed more than 1,250 people, including over 100 children. “We support Israel’s efforts to degrade Hezbollah’s capability,” he said.

The US is also calling for Lebanon to hold new presidential elections amid the Israeli bombardment. Lebanon hasn’t had a president since 2022, as the many different factions in parliament haven’t agreed to elect one. Hezbollah’s political wing currently holds 15 seats in the nation’s 128-seat parliament.

🚨Attackers Claim a ‘Catastrophic Security Breach’ of the Internet Archive, With 31 Million Emails and Hashed Passwords Captured — Change Your Passwords

The Internet Archive—the online repository of, well, pretty much everything—is under attack. It's been hit by a series of DDOSes that have rendered the site essentially unusable since Wednesday, with the non-profit's engineers scrambling to fend off the assault, upgrade security, and keep users informed all at the same time.

None of which, alarmingly, is the worst part. If you try to go to the site at time of writing, you'll just find an error page, but visitors yesterday were greeted by a pop-up reading "Have you ever felt like the Internet Archive runs on sticks and is constantly on the verge of suffering a catastrophic security breach? It just happened. See 31 million of you on HIBP!"

HIBP means Have I Been Pwned, a site you can use to check if your emails and passwords have been leaked in any of the data breaches that happen with disconcerting regularity online. In other words: The Archive's attackers are claiming to have nicked the deets for around 31 million accounts as part of their campaign, a breach which has since been confirmed by Archive founder Brewster Kale and HIBP's Troy Hunt (via Bleeping Computer).

"What we know:" wrote Kale earlier today, "DDOS attack–fended off for now; defacement of our website via JS library; breach of usernames/email/salted-encrypted passwords." The bad news is that you have an Internet Archive account, your username and email could well have been captured by the site's attackers.

The good news is that the version of your password they've gotten hold of is encrypted. Don't use that as an excuse to rest on your laurels, though: You should absolutely change your Archive password as soon as you can—and change it anywhere else you use that password, too.

Since the attack, Kale says that the Archive has "Disabled the JS library" used to access the site and serve the earlier pop-up, and that it is "scrubbing systems, upgrading security." Unfortunately, there's not much the site has been able to do about the DDOS attacks. Less than an hour before I wrote this, Kale posted that "DDOS folks are back and knocked Archive.org and Openlibrary.org offline," and that the site is "being cautious and prioritizing keeping data safe at the expense of service availability."

It's not entirely clear just yet who is behind the attack or what their reasons are. An account on X going by the name SN_Blackmeta—claiming to be located in "Old Rus, Novgorod Oblast"—has claimed responsibility, saying it was attacking the Archive "because the archive belongs to the USA," whose "horrendous and hypocritical government supports the genocide that is being carried out by the terrorist state of 'Israel.'" It's worth noting that the Archive has no notable ties to the US government beyond being based in America.
