Let's begin to set the record straight:

Are you deranged?
No. "Deranged" would be leaving 101 hostages to suffer unspeakable torture in the hands of murderous rapists for a full year.

What hostage deal is on the table?
The deal that Netanyahu himself proposed back in May, the deal that the US and UN adopted in June, the deal that Hamas agreed to sign back in July. That deal. It's still on the table. Has been since July. Netanyahu refuses to sign it. He's made up a variety of spins and false claims to try and explain why he chooses to sentence innocent hostages to death instead of signing a deal to save their lives.

What situation will prevent another Oct7?
1. Oct 7 would have never happened if Netanyahu himself hadn't allowed suitcases filled with millions upon millions of dollars in cash to be hand delivered to Hamas every month.
2. Oct 7 would have never happened if Netanyahu hadn't destroyed Israel internally by trying to end democracy and establish a dictatorship under his rule.
3. Oct 7 would have never happened if there were peace.
4. This is the main point here - Refusing to sign a deal and sentencing the 101 hostages to agony and death will not prevent a future attack.

It's amazing what people will write on the internet for money.
Quite literally no one, including Hamas, is talking about a situation that would "allow Hamas to continue to run Gaza". This is standard MO, pretending that rational arguments are based on feelings rather than facts and reason.

Attacks hit key port city of Hodeidah as well as the capital, Sanaa, Houthi-run media and US sources say.

The United States military has struck a number of cities in Yemen, including the capital, Sanaa, and the key port city of Hodeidah.

Forces from the US Central Command (CENTCOM), the military command responsible for US forces in the Middle East, “conducted strikes on 15 Houthi targets in Iranian-backed Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen today”, it said on X on Friday.

Four strikes targeted Sanaa and seven hit Hodeidah, according to the Houthi-run Al Masirah TV network. Correspondents with the AFP news agency also reported hearing loud explosions in both cities.

The Hodeidah strikes hit the airport and the Katheib area, which has a Houthi-controlled military base, Al Masirah said. Footage on social media verified by Al Jazeera’s fact-checking agency showed large plumes of smoke resulting from the strikes in Hodeidah.

South Lebanon Hospital Forced Shut After Israel Bombs Rescue Team

At least 32 Lebanese medics have been killed by Israeli strikes over the past three days

The Marjayoun Governmental Hospital in southern Lebanon has been put out of service due to an Israeli airstrike near the facility on 4 October, which killed four paramedics from the Islamic Health Authority.

“The medical staff was evacuated from Marjayoun Governmental Hospital in Jdeidet Marjayoun, and thus the hospital has stopped working,” Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) reported.

The shuttering and evacuation of the hospital raises serious concerns that those in the area, which is under heavy Israeli bombardment, will lack much-needed access to medical care.

Four paramedics from the Islamic Health Authority were killed on Friday morning after they were hit by an Israeli drone near the Marjayoun hospital.

An Israeli drone also struck a car transporting injured people to Martyr Salah Ghandour Hospital in the southern city of Bint Jbeil. All those inside the vehicle have been reported killed.

Investigation Reveals Israeli Troops Committing First Ever 'Live Streamed Genocide'

The new documentary compiles footage of war crimes committed and posted online by Israeli soldiers in Gaza

Al Jazeera has released a new documentary, available on YouTube, detailing Israeli war crimes and human rights violations in Gaza, based on videos filmed and posted on social media by soldiers themselves.

“We live in an era of technology, and this has been described as the first livestreamed genocide in history,” Palestinian novelist Susan Abulhawa told Al Jazeera’s investigative unit (I-Unit).

Since the start of Israel’s extermination campaign in Gaza last October, Israeli soldiers have posted thousands of videos and photos on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.

Rodney Dixon, an international law expert featured in the film, says the videos are “a treasure trove which you very seldom come across … something which I think prosecutors will be licking their lips at.”

The film also includes information collected by Al Jazeera journalists working on the ground in Gaza, as well as Israeli military drone footage. It is unclear how Al Jazeera obtained the drone footage.

Iran's Oil Production Nears Pre-Sanctions Levels: Report

Washington and Tel Aviv have reportedly threatened to bomb Iran's oil facilities following Tehran's ballistic missile attack on Israel

Iran’s oil production is running at almost full capacity despite US sanctions, amid Israeli threats to target Tehran’s oil infrastructure in an expanded regional war, Bloomberg reported on 4 October.

The Islamic Republic’s oil output has reached 3.4 million barrels per day, just a few hundred thousand barrels below a previous high of 3.9 million.

After US President Donald Trump withdrew the US from the JCPOA nuclear deal in 2018 and reimposed sanctions on Iran, Tehran’s production dropped as low as two million barrels per day.

Iran now sells much of its oil to China at reduced prices, as Beijing has been willing to ignore US sanctions seeking to block the sales.

“Iran is having success exporting thanks to a willing customer in China, the increased sophistication of illicit transportation channels, and the relatively low interest in the US to take action,” said Henning Gloystein and Greg Brew, analysts at Eurasia Group. “There’s a risk that Israel strikes Iranian oil facilities.”

Censorship Allegations Resurface as New Ad Coalition Takes Shape

A new organization has emerged, seemingly as a successor to the Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM), which disbanded in early August under a cloud of controversy and accusations of corporate censorship, according to a new letter.

This new entity dubbed the “Dentsu Coalition,” was formed by Dentsu, a major Japanese PR firm and original GARM member, alongside The 614 Group, a prominent ad consulting firm. Their stated mission is to bolster “credible news” and foster a thriving journalistic environment through the collective effort of leading advertising industry figures.

However, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, expressed concerns in a letter sent to Dentsu Americas CEO Michael Komasinski that the Dentsu Coalition might be walking a path similar to its predecessor. Jordan highlighted that GARM, during its operation, engaged in practices that appeared to suppress certain media voices by guiding major advertisers on which news sources were deemed “credible,” with a noticeable bias favoring left-leaning media. He noted that these practices could potentially violate the Sherman Act by unlawfully restraining trade under the guise of social justice.

The inquiry has unearthed internal communications among GARM members, showing that prominent advertising firm GroupM placed The Daily Wire on a “Global High Risk exclusion list,” labeling it as prone to “Conspiracy Theories,” according to a GroupM executive. This stance on conservative media was mirrored in another email by a different GroupM executive, who drew parallels with Breitbart, discussing the use of “misinformation” rules as a veiled method for ideological censorship.

Furthermore, Jordan’s letter points out that the anti-competitive nature of these initiatives has tangible effects, as articulated by News Corp...

The scrutiny extends beyond the actions of advertising groups, with ongoing lawsuits against the State Department by The Daily Wire and The Federalist. These legal actions claim that government-backed entities like Newsguard and the Global Disinformation Index deliberately targeted conservative outlets, causing financial harm.

Meanwhile, Dentsu has assured that it will soon respond to the Committee’s demand for documentation concerning its takeover of GARM-related activities, although they have refrained from commenting further at this stage.

A respected English doctor allegedly disguised himself as a nurse to inject his mother's partner with a "flesh-eating" poison under the pretense of administering a COVID-19 booster shot, according to a report.

Dr. Thomas Kwan, of Sunderland, England, is accused of planning out and executing an elaborate and lethal scheme to eliminate a perceived obstacle to his inheritance.

Kwan, 53, had previously falsified documents from the NHS, a fake company, and sent them to his mother's partner, Patrick O'Hara O'Hara, to schedule a home visit, according to court documents obtained by BBC.

On the day in question, Kwan arrived at the couple's home in North Yorkshire, England, where he posed as a community nurse to gain medical proximity to O'Hara.
