Rocket Attack Hits US Base Near Baghdad Airport

Washington recently announced a deal with Iraq to end the US military mission in the country, which is said to include troop withdrawals from a number of bases

A US facility near Baghdad International Airport was targeted with rockets early on 1 October.

Two Iraqi security sources told Reuters that Katyusha rockets were fired at a base that hosts troops near Baghdad airport.

The two sources said a preliminary investigation showed that three rockets were fired, including one which hit near buildings used by Baghdad’s counterterrorism service. Vehicles were damaged and caught fire, yet there were no casualties, they said.

A US defense official told Reuters later on 1 October that “All military personnel are accounted for and military forces were not targeted as had been reported.”

As tensions soar across the region, particularly in the aftermath of the Israeli assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and as Iraq-based resistance groups have stepped up attacks against Israel, Iraqi military forces and resistance factions have reportedly been on high-alert.

Israel: Settler Group Advertises New Properties In Southern Lebanon

The Movement for Settlement in Southern Lebanon said the settlement of the area will bring 'true and stable security to northern Israel'

An Israeli settler group is promoting new properties for sale in southern Lebanon , as the Israeli army wages a bombing campaign in the country that has killed over 1000 people since mid-September.

Uri Tzafon, or the Movement for Settlement in Southern Lebanon’s website boasts spacious, light-filled apartments overlooking a swimming pool, with offers starting at 300,000 shekels ($80,000).

“After the elimination of the Hezbollah leadership…do you also dream of a big house, a view of snowy mountains and a warm community in the land of our ancestors?” the advert reads.

The extremist settler group emerged in March as a fringe movement to push for the settlement of southern Lebanon, which it said would bring “true and stable security to northern Israel” and enable the country to reclaim its “biblical borders.”

The group initially started with a few hundred members, since then its numbers have swelled, with its Whatsapp forums reportedly garnering around 3000 members.

A statement on its website claims the settlement of southern Lebanon is “necessary for Israel’s security” and that “only an Israeli civilian presence will ensure stable control and prevent the area from becoming a terrorist stronghold”.

The movement's site recently published a map of southern Lebanon detailing at least 300 new settlements, with Lebanese villages and towns south of the Litani River rebranded with Hebrew names.

The group also sent balloons to the area emblazoned with messages threatening residents to “evacuate immediately” as “this is the land of Israel that belongs to the Jews”.

The movement’s founder, Professor Amos Azaria, told Middle East Eye that: “Having a proper border based on the Litani river, or the Zahrani [river], will not only allow proper control over the border, but will in fact shorten the border as it becomes more of a straight line.

“Since Hezbollah only cares about land and not about the number of soldiers killed, the only way to win is by building settlements,” he added.

In a letter published on Wednesday, senior rabbi Yitzchak Ginsburgh called for the conquest and settlement of southern Lebanon, saying that “the enemy must be struck with full force” and that Lebanon is part of the “Land of Israel” and was “given to the Jewish people by God”.

"Today it is clear that the time has come to conquer the Lebanese territories as well, only in this way can the threat be removed and true peace brought to the entire country. After the conquest and expulsion of the hostile population, a Jewish settlement must be established, thus completing the victory,” he wrote.

Diddy Accused of Abusing Nine Year Old Boy and Spiking Drinks with Horse Tranquilizer as 120 Victims Come Forward with Shocking Claims

In bombshell allegations, an additional 120 victims have come forward to accuse rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs of sex abuse over a span of 25 years, with several underage victims, including a 9-year-old, among them.

The claims where made by Texas lawyer Tony Buzbee who announced he's representing 120 new victims who he believes have legitimate cases against the rapper turned media mogul. ... 25 were underage when the alleged abuse happened between 1991 and as recently as this year...

The youngest victims were 9, 14, 15 when they were victimized, the high-profile lawyer announced at a press conference in Houston Tuesday.

'This individual, who was 9 years old at the time, was taken to an audition in New York City with Bad Boy Records,' the attorney disclosed.

'This individual was sexually abused allegedly by Sean Combs and several other people at the studio in the promise to both his parents and to him himself of getting a record deal.'

Combs founded Bad Boy Records in 1993, the label that launched the careers of Notorious B.I.G., French Montana and Machine Gun Kelly.

'Other boys were there to audition as well,' Buzbee stated. 'All of them were trying to land a record deal. All of them were minors.'

...the promise of fame was leveraged over multiple child victims, Buzbee claimed.

'Another minor told allegedly by Sean Combs that he would make him a star, but he needed to visit with him in private about it away from his parents. Once they were in private area, allegedly Mr. Combs made the victim perform oral sex upon him,' Buzbee said...

'An individual, 15 years old at the time, flown to New York City to attend a party was drugged and then taken into a private room allegedly in the presence of Mr. Combs where this female individual-- minor-- was raped and then other individuals took turns raping her,' Buzbee detailed.

Working with law enforcement, the attorney said many accusers have been weeded out with non-credible stories, however, at least 120 potential new victims will file individual cases against Diddy and possibly other abusers.

Many of the new victims had previously told law enforcement that they had been abused, including some who cooperated with the FBI.

Many have medical records that prove they had been raped or drugged, Buzbee added.

'Drugs were found in their system-- weird drugs, drugs that you probably never heard of,' the lawyer explained.

'One in particular that continues to pop up is a drug called Xylazine, or tranq, which based on our research is known as a horse tranquilizer.'

...Much of the alleged abuse happened at parties, such as Diddy's infamous white parties or 'puppy parties.'

'One individual who was 22 years at the time she was assaulted said that the typical MO at one of these parties...was that when you were handed a drink, and now we know that the drink is laced with something, that if you refused to drink it, you were kicked out of the party,' Buzbee detailed.

The tour was organized by the head of Hezbollah’s media relations office, and revealed the extent of the damage in several residential areas

Hezbollah organized a media tour in Beirut’s southern suburb on 2 October, revealing that Israel has been targeting civilian infrastructure under the pretext of attacking the resistance group’s infrastructure and weapons sites.

“There were absolutely no weapons in the buildings that Israel bombed in the southern suburb,” said the head of Hezbollah’s media relations office, Mohammad Afif, during the tour on Wednesday.

An Israeli airstrike targeted the headquarters of the Al-Sirat TV media outlet on 1 October, destroying the building.

“Israel's bombing of the Al-Sirat Channel headquarters is terrorism and aggression,” Afif went on to say.

“The buildings targeted by the Israeli enemy are civilian and Israel's goal is to destroy and change the features of the suburbs. Israel is seeking to incite the Hezbollah's environment against it,” he added.
