The IDF Home Front Command has updated its restrictions in northern Israel following Hezbollah's overnight rocket barrages.

According to the latest guidelines, no educational activities will take place in the Golan Heights, Galilee, Haifa bay area, and northern valleys.

Gatherings will also be restricted to 10 outdoors and 100 indoors.

Workplaces will be able to operate if an adequate shelter is nearby and can be reached in time.

Hezbollah claims rocket attack on northern Israel - reports

Hezbollah fired medium-range rockets toward areas south of Haifa on Sunday morning local time, significantly expanding the range of its attacks against Israel, Axios reported.

The IDF said 10 rockets crossed into Israeli territory on Sunday morning local time. Most were intercepted but at least one rocket fell in Israeli territory.

Hezbollah said in a statement that a target of the attack was Israel's Ramat David Air Force base, which is located more than 30 miles from the border with Lebanon.

The group said in its statement that it had fired dozens of Fadi 1 and Fadi 2 rockets in a response to "the repeated Israeli attacks that targeted various Lebanese regions and led to the killing of civilians," Axios reported.

This is the first time since the 2006 war between Israel and Hezbollah that Hezbollah’s missiles crossed beyond 20km (12 miles), Al Jazeera said.

Meanwhile, residents of Israeli cities are posing for pictures with debris from the fallen rockets.

Netanyahu Prolonging The War For Political Motives - An Idea Many Israelis Vocally Subscribe To, Including The Hostage Family Members, a Former Mossad Chief, And Prominent Israeli Politicians Opposing Netanyahu

6/6 -
Was October 7th Allowed to Happen To Further The Greater Israel Agenda? Did The Hannibal Directive Ever End? [X] — Part 4 of TheMcgwire's Oct 7th Series

Even a former Mossad Chief attended the Israeli protest, taking aim at Netanyahu, and his political motives for failing to reach a deal with Hamas for the return of the hostages.

....Former Mossad Chief Danny Yatom said during the demonstration that Netanyahu was seeking to keep the war in Gaza going because "it seems to him that as long as the guns are roaring, it is easier for him to 'dissolve' his criminal trial," and that freeing the captives was not a priority for the prime minister...

....Israeli defense minister Gallant, who is seen as a political rival of Netanyahu alongside Gantz, at this time in April called for a Hostage deal to be made. Gantz was one of the officials identified by Haaretz having “increasingly believed that Netanyahu didn’t consider the return of the hostages the main mission in the war”...

A hostage deal did not pan out.

After all, Netanyahu has been sabotaging all Hostage negotiations.

....The same day the Hostage Families account made its debut on twitter, on June 4th, Mediate ran the headline: "Biden Implies Netanyahu Is Prolonging Israel-Hamas War For His Own Political Gain".

This implication by Biden echoed what many Israelis have been saying, including a former Mossad Chief as discussed earlier in the article: Netanyahu is prolonging the war for his own political agenda (implication is against the best interests of Israelis)

From my observations, the protests by the Israeli families have gotten very little attention in American media, and in discussion by Americans. I think this is by design.

If the Israeli protests were front and center... I think there would be much more hesitation to support Netanyahu & Co, even amongst those who fashion themselves pro-Israel. More may see that Netanyahu and Israel's far right are leading Israel off a cliff

I think that many of those in America blindly in support of Netanyahu and the ruling government would potentially see things differently if they understood the opposition to Israeli leadership is being led by Israel families, and why that is happening..

Again, it is easy for the people on the right, lost in cultural conditioning and partisan expectations, to dismiss college protestors calling for a ceasefire as “blue haired marxist Hamas supporters”, but it would not be so easy to dismiss the family members of the victims of Oct 7th as Hamas.
. Not that Netanyahu’s allies in the Likud party haven’t tried.

From The Man Who Negotiated Gilad Shalit's Release From Hamas Captivity.

"I tell you again: Hamas agrees to the three-week deal: the end of the war, an Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, an agreed release of the number and names of Palestinian prisoners, and the return of all the hostages - all in a three-week timeframe. I even have it in writing from Hamas. The paper is with Netanyahu and with the entire negotiating team. The paper is with Biden, with the Emir of Qatar and with the head of Egyptian intelligence. All of the hostages can be returned within three weeks. " (Gershon Baskin Sept.21, 2024)

A Rare Polar Bear Showed Up On The Shores Of Iceland. Police Shot It

(AP) — A rare polar bear that was spotted outside a cottage in a remote village in Iceland was shot by police after being considered a threat, authorities said Friday.

The bear was killed Thursday afternoon in the northwest of Iceland after police consulted the Environment Agency, which declined to have the animal relocated, Westfjords Police Chief Helgi Jensson told The Associated Press.

“It’s not something we like to do,”
Jensson said. “In this case, as you can see in the picture, the bear was very close to a summer house. There was an old woman in there.”

The owner, who was alone, was frightened and locked herself upstairs as the bear rummaged through her garbage, Jensson said. She contacted her daughter in Reykjavik, the nation’s capital, by satellite link, and called for help.
