One of Jeffrey Epstein’s victims, whose testimony was instrumental in convicting heiress Ghislaine Maxwell of sex trafficking, died earlier this year — and her family is now questioning the circumstances surrounding her fatal overdose.
Carolyn Andriano, 36, was found dead in a Palm Beach, Florida hotel room in late May, but her family said they still have questions about a medical examiner’s ruling that she died of an “accidental overdose.”
“Nobody’s giving me any answers, and you know what? I’m over it,” her mother, Dorothy Groener, told the Daily Beast.
“Because this is my daughter and she deserves justice,” Groener — who is currently involved in a legal battle with her son-in-law over Andriano’s will —said, noting: “She got to a point where she was turning her whole life around.”

🚨BREAKING: U.S., Canadian Officials On Alert For Terrorism In Wake Of Deadly Bridge Explosion
Canadian government officials said they are operating under the assumption that a Wednesday morning blast on the Rainbow Bridge connecting the United States and Canada was terrorism and are working to determine if it was an isolated incident.
Canadian Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc said the government is taking the explosion "extremely seriously," and the White House said it is monitoring the situation closely, as well.
U.S. President Joe Biden and U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland have been briefed about the incident that left two people dead and a Border Patrol agent injured.

The US launched the airstrikes in response to daily attacks on its bases in Iraq and Syria by Iraqi resistance factions
US jets carried out airstrikes in Iraq early on 22 November, targeting what the US Central Command (CENTCOM) claims were “Iran-linked” facilities south of the capital, Baghdad.
A US official told ABC News that the “strikes were conducted against a Kataib Hezbollah operations center and a Kataib Hezbollah Command and Control node.”
The US attack, which targeted the town of Jurf al-Sakhar, killed eight people, Al-Mayadeen’s correspondent reported. Kataib Hezbollah announced that five of its members were among those killed.
In response to the attack, the Iraqi government released a statement calling it an "unacceptable violation of sovereignty” and noting that the bombing took place without the knowledge of any government agency.
Wednesday's airstrikes came in response to daily attacks against US forces in Iraq and Syria. This is the fourth round of airstrikes carried out by Washington in response to the surge in resistance attacks against its troops.

Turkey Ready For Security Responsibility In Gaza: Erdogan
The Turkish president vowed not to let Israel render Gaza 'uninhabited'
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan indicated on 22 November that Turkiye is ready to take responsibility with other countries in the new security structure that will be established after the end of the war in Gaza, including the guarantor mechanism.
Speaking Wednesday at the G20 Summit in the wake of the announced cease fire deal between Hamas and Israel, Erdogan reiterated the need to establish a Palestinian state.
The ceasefire will last just 4 days, and comes after six weeks of Israeli bombing of Gaza that has killed 13,300 Palestinians, the majority women and children.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has advocated reinstalling the Palestinian Authority (PA), led by Mahmoud Abbas, in power in Gaza should Hamas be defeated by Israel, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said Israel will retain security control over Gaza.
His supporters in the Religious Zionism and Likud parties wish to conquer Gaza, expel its 2.3 million inhabitants to Egypt, and rebuild the Gush Katif Jewish settlement, which was evacuated in 2005 as part of Israel’s unilateral Gaza disengagement.
On Tuesday, Erdogan stated that Turkiye cannot accept Israel's policy of depopulating the Gaza Strip, while reiterating that Israel is a "terror state."
"We cannot and will not tolerate the policy of the State of Israel, which has grown by constantly occupying, seizing land and massacring the oppressed, to render Gaza uninhabited," Erdogan said at the Algeria-Türkiye Business Forum.

Ahead of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman’s four days in exile, several staff researchers sent the board of directors a letter warning of a powerful artificial intelligence discovery that they said could threaten humanity, two people familiar with the matter told Reuters.
The previously unreported letter and AI algorithm was a catalyst that caused the board to oust Altman, the poster child of generative AI, the two sources said. Before his triumphant return late Tuesday, more than 700 employees had threatened to quit and join backer Microsoft (MSFT.O) in solidarity with their fired leader.
The sources cited the letter as one factor among a longer list of grievances by the board that led to Altman’s firing. Reuters was unable to review a copy of the letter. The researchers who wrote the letter did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
OpenAI declined to comment.
According to one of the sources, long-time executive Mira Murati mentioned the project, called Q*, to employees on Wednesday and said that a letter was sent to the board prior to this weekend's events...
The maker of ChatGPT had made progress on Q* (pronounced Q-Star), which some internally believe could be a breakthrough in the startup's search for superintelligence, also known as artificial general intelligence (AGI), one of the people told Reuters. OpenAI defines AGI as AI systems that are smarter than humans.

A WIRED analysis of leaked police documents verifies that a secretive government program is allowing federal, state, and local law enforcement to access phone records of Americans who are not suspected of a crime.
A little-known surveillance program tracks more than a trillion domestic phone records within the United States each year, according to a letter WIRED obtained that was sent by US senator Ron Wyden to the Department of Justice (DOJ) on Sunday, challenging the program’s legality.
According to the letter, a surveillance program now known as Data Analytical Services (DAS) has for more than a decade allowed federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to mine the details of Americans’ calls, analyzing the phone records of countless people who are not suspected of any crime, including victims. Using a technique known as chain analysis, the program targets not only those in direct phone contact with a criminal suspect but anyone with whom those individuals have been in contact as well.
The DAS program, formerly known as Hemisphere, is run in coordination with the telecom giant AT&T, which captures and conducts analysis of US call records for law enforcement agencies, from local police and sheriffs’ departments to US customs offices and postal inspectors across the country, according to a White House memo reviewed by WIRED.

- Hamas was threatening all-out war

- Months of warnings and sign passed up the chain of command from within Israel’s own ranks, in various areas and governmental organizations.
- The attack gave Israel a pretext for its ‘Greater Gaza’ plan to drive the Gazans into Sinai and claim Gaza for itself
Botched Response - Israeli Airforce Dumping Payload on Citizens is to October 7th what Lockdowns were to Covid - Damaged Those Who Were Supposed to Be Protected.
Not only did the IDF and Mossad fail in preventing the attack in the first place, but after Israeli air force did show up to the scene, they had trouble differentiating between Hamas and Israelis on the ground, and offloaded their payloads on the ground despite this.
The first indications of this came from Israeli media. On October 15th, Israeli publisher Ynet “Hamas deception to IDF helicopters and targeting of pilots in WhatsApp“...
“After the pilots realized that there was tremendous difficulty in distinguishing within the posts and localities occupied by a terrorist and a soldier or civilian, A decision was made that the first mission of the battle helicopters and the armed forces was to stop the flood of terrorists and murderous crowds that flocked to Israeli territory through breaches of the fence.
Twenty-eight combat helicopters fired all ammunition in their stomachs throughout the day of combat, in re-armament rounds. These are hundreds of 30mm cannon shells (effect of spray grenade per shell) as well as Hellfire missiles.
The pace of shooting in front of the thousands of terrorists was tremendous at first, and only at one point did the pilots begin to slow down the attacks and carefully select the targets.”
Likewise, another Israeli publisher, Mako, published “The Apache pilots who first arrived at the scene of the fighting speak”

Israel continues to bombard the besieged Gaza Strip hours after a truce agreement was announced.
Dozens of people from the same family have been killed in the Jabalia refugee camp, the Palestinian foreign minister has said, as Israel continued to bombard the besieged Gaza Strip in the hours after an agreement was reached for a truce that was expected to go into effect on Thursday.
Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki said on a visit to London on Wednesday that 52 members of one family were killed in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.
... Separately in Khan Younis, the bodies of more than 100 Palestinians originally held at the al-Shifa Hospital in northern Gaza, which has been repeatedly raided by Israeli forces, were buried in a mass grave.
The agreement between Israel and Hamas, the Palestinian armed group that governs Gaza, comes after nearly seven weeks of war in the besieged territory that has killed thousands and displaced hundreds of thousands of others.
