Netanyahu's 'Document Of Blood' Sabotages Gaza Ceasefire Deal: Report

Six Israeli captives in Gaza would not have been killed if Netanyahu had not issued new demands to the ceasefire deal Israel proposed in May, a senior security official says

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is responsible for the deaths of six Israeli soldiers who were killed while captives of Hamas because he sabotaged a Gaza ceasefire agreement that would have led to their release, Yedioth Ahronoth reported on 2 September.

The Hebrew newspaper reported that according to a senior Israeli security official, Israel submitted a proposal for an agreement in May that would have returned the Israeli captives and led to a ceasefire.

However, after Hamas agreed to most of its terms, the Prime Minister decided to back out of the deal. To do so, he ordered a new document to be drafted in July, which included "clarifications" to the first Israeli proposal.

According to the senior security official, the clarifications included major new conditions meant to sabotage any chance of an agreement.

The conditions included the demand that Israeli troops be allowed to continue occupying the Philadelphi Corridor, the strategic strip of land along the Gaza-Egypt border.

Biden Says Netanyahu Not Doing Enough to Get Hostage Deal

President Joe Biden has said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not doing enough to get a hostage deal and ceasefire, amid protests and general strike after six hostages were killed by Hamas.

Biden was speaking to reporters outside the White House ahead of meeting the US hostage deal negotiating team alongside Vice President Kamala Harris.

Six hostages were found dead in Gaza on Sunday by the Israeli military, prompting a hostage family group to say that Netanyahu has failed.

Biden was asked by a reporter whether he felt Netanyahu was doing enough to get the hostages home, to which he responded "no."

Biden has returned to Washington after a two-week vacation in California and at his Delaware Beach house.

Biden also told reporters that the team was "very close" to presenting a final hostage deal to Israel and Hamas.

Kamala Harris Confirms No Plans To End US Arms Shipments To Israel

US weapons shipments to Israel spiked in August, coinciding with Harris' nomination as the Democratic party's presidential candidate

US Vice President Kamala Harris said on 29 August that she would not change the US policy of supplying weapons to Israel despite calls to limit or end the shipments from her progressive supporters.

In her first interview since becoming the Democratic presidential nominee last week, Harris told CNN, “I’m unequivocal and unwavering in my commitment to Israel’s defense and its ability to defend itself, and that’s not going to change.”

Harris gave the interview accompanied by her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

She justified the ongoing support for Israel’s genocide of Palestinians in Gaza by rehashing false claims about 7 October, including that Hamas massacred 1,200 Israelis and systematically raped women.

“But let’s take a step back. October 7 – 1,200 people were massacred, many young people who were simply attending a music festival. Women were horribly raped,” the vice president continued.

Aug 21st: Israeli Captives Retrieved From Gaza 'Suffocated To Death' During Army Raid: Report

Numerous Israeli captives have been killed by Israeli army fire since the start of the war on the Gaza Strip

Five of the six Israeli captives whose bodies were returned to Israel following an army operation this week had suffocated to death due to an attack by troops on the tunnel they were being held in, Hebrew news outlet Ynet reported on 20 August.

The bodies were recovered and brought back to Israel on Tuesday after an overnight recovery operation in Gaza’s southern city of Khan Yunis, the army announced.

Ynet says the autopsy of one of the captives showed he had been shot dead by a captor.

“Apart from him, the main assessment regarding the circumstances of their deaths in captivity of the other five abductees whose bodies were recovered tonight (between Monday and Tuesday) from Khan Yunis is that they were killed by suffocation in the tunnel where they were held – as an incidental result of an IDF attack,” it added.

The report adds that the “attack in question took place during the operation of the 98th Division in the area, about six months ago.”

Given the Hannibal Directive exists, it isn’t hard to imagine the spirit of it - that Israeli hostages are a strategic liability, and are better dead than alive - still lives on, and applies even after the October 7th attack.

If the Hannibal Directive applied on the day, it probably applied after. WHY would the Israeli army prefer hostages to die rather than make it across the border into Gaza as a hostage? Because hostages gives the Gazans' leverage politically....

Zelensky Ramps Up Pressure On White House To Green Light Long-Range Strikes Inside Russia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is insisting that US President Joe Biden give Kiev approval to hit targets deep inside Russia. The move would be a major escalation in Washington’s proxy war against Moscow in Ukraine.
