BREAKING: @EMPOWR_us has released an internal screenshot showing former Congresswoman @TulsiGabbard on the TSA's "Quiet Skies" domestic terror watchlist.
@EMPOWR_us and its President, @tristanleavitt, are providing legal support to Federal Air Marshal whistleblowers who have exposed the Department of Homeland Security’s targeting of Gabbard.
Leavitt revealed that the July 26, 2024, screenshot is from one of at least eight flights on which 2-3 Federal Air Marshals were assigned to surveil Gabbard, a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army National Guard.
"Our clients have first-hand knowledge. It was a gross waste of funds and an abuse of TSA’s authority."
Last week, Gabbard responded, saying, "This is a clear act of political retaliation."

Big Brother Goes Digital: The Feds’ Race To Integrate Mobile Ids In America
The push to develop digital ID and expand its use in the US is receiving a boost as the country’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is launching a new project.
NIST’s National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) has teamed up with 15 large financial and state institutions, as well as tech companies, to research and develop a way of integrating Mobile Driver’s License (mDL) into financial services. But according to NIST, this is just the start and the initial focus of the program.
The agreement represents an effort to tie in yet more areas of people’s lives in their digital ID (“customer identification program requirements” is how NIST’s announcement describes the focus of this particular initiative). These schemes are often criticized by rights advocates for their potential to be used as mass surveillance tools.
Now NIST’s initiative brings together this institution and the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA), California Department of Motor Vehicles, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) – Science and Technology Directorate, New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, JP Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Microsoft.
Among the other participants are companies specializing in digital ID IDEMIA, MATTR Limited, iLabs, SpruceID, and the OpenID Foundation (plus US Bank, and Block Inc.)

The prime minister insists Israel must hold the border as part of any ceasefire deal, but the military doesn't think it's necessary
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continues to insist that Israel must maintain control of the Gaza-Egypt border, known as the Philadelphi Corridor, as part of any hostage and ceasefire deal with Hamas, but the Israeli military doesn’t agree.
Netanyahu has said Israel must maintain control of the border, which includes the Rafah crossing, to prevent weapons smuggling from Egypt through tunnels. During previous rounds of negotiations, Cairo agreed to build an underground barrier on the border, but then Netanyahu started demanding indefinite control of the Philadelphi Corridor.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Israeli military leaders think Israel doesn’t need to keep troops on the border and could prevent weapons smuggling by using sensors and launching targeted raids, but Netanyahu is still insisting on maintaining control of the border and reiterated his position on Wednesday.
“Israel will insist on the achievement of all of its objectives for the war, as they have been defined by the Security Cabinet, including that Gaza never again constitutes a security threat to Israel. This requires securing the southern border,” Netanyahu’s office said in a statement.
Netanyahu is also demanding that Israel maintain control of the Netzarim Corridor, which separates northern Gaza from the rest of the Strip, and he continues to reject the idea of a permanent ceasefire.

Israelis blame Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for dragging them into endless war — and are at a loss for how to carve a way out.
Nearly a year into the Gaza war, the sense of dread in Israel is all-consuming. Since the twin assassinations of Hezbollah and Hamas leaders within hours of each other in Beirut and Tehran, respectively, nearly two weeks ago, Israelis have anxiously awaited a retaliatory attack by Iran and its regional allies. Despite some indications from Iran that it’s not seeking an all-out war, fears of a larger regional escalation continue to reverberate around the globe. Neither Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu nor any other Israeli leader has publicly addressed citizens’ concerns or outlined how Israel will react, beyond saying that the country is prepared and will exact a heavy price from its enemies.
A version of daily life continues even as Israeli society is on edge. After 10 months, most people have become accustomed to it. They go to their jobs or the beach; kids head to summer camp. Yet some have started hoarding food and generators. Most flights to and from Israel have been canceled, preventing people from leaving and leaving many Israelis stranded abroad. Judge Edward Chen has alerted the U.S. EPA's attorneys and the Fluoride Action Network's attorneys that they have the opportunity to file a letter detailing any "meaningful" differences between the final version of the NTP reported and the pre-publication/draft versions which were discussed during February's hearings. Both sides have until Wednesday August 28th to file a letter.
This likely means Judge Chen is preparing to make a ruling!

Fluoride in Pregnancy May Harm Child’s Brain Development: Study
A new study suggests a link between greater fluoride intake in pregnancy and toddlers with behavioral problems.
Children in the womb exposed to higher levels of fluoride — a mineral found naturally in water in varying amounts — later were more likely to experience temper tantrums, headaches, stomachaches, anxiety and symptoms linked to autism, according to research published Monday in JAMA Network Open.
“Exposure to fluoride during pregnancy does not mean that a child will experience greater neurobehavioral problems,” senior study author Tracy Bastain, an associate professor of clinical population and public health sciences at the University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine, told The Post.
“We found an association between higher prenatal exposure and more neurobehavioral problems at age 3 but more studies are needed to establish a causal link,” she explained.
Data for the study came from USC’s MADRES Center for Environmental Health Disparities.

In the US, the Remote Identity Validation Technology Demonstration (RIVTD) – a scheme to evaluate biometric digital ID systems that has been in the works since 2022, is now in the final stages of development.
The involved government agencies include the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Forensic Laboratory, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
Among the things RIVTD is there to evaluate and assess is identity verification when photos are taken with phones, including the “liveliness of selfies.”
The system is being developed in three stages – called “tracks” – of which the third and final, dedicated to said “liveliness,” is now in progress. The idea here is to ensure that a true selfie is submitted, instead of an image of a digital or physical photograph.
Another thing those behind RIVTD want to avoid is people using masks instead of “taking an actual selfie in real-time,” say reports.
The first two “tracks” concerned the assessment of the validity of documents like ID cards or driver’s licenses, with the second turning the focus on how selfies match photos on ID documents.

Why it matters: Netanyahu's demand that the IDF continue to be deployed along the Philadelphi corridor on the border of Egypt and Gaza during the first phase of the deal has become one of the main — and final — points of contention on the way to an agreement.
The Israeli officials said Netanyahu partially accepted Biden's request and agreed to give up one Israeli position along the border.
Behind the scenes: ...The Israeli officials said Biden asked for Israeli forces to be pulled out from a 1- to 2-kilometer strip along the Egypt-Gaza border.
The area is close to the Rafah coast and adjacent to the Tel al-Sultan neighborhood, where a large number of displaced Palestinians are sheltering.
The Israeli officials said Biden told Netanyahu that agreeing to this may contribute to advancing the negotiations towards a deal.
