UNRWA announced over the weekend that Israel has reduced Gaza’s humanitarian zone to only 11 percent, leaving hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians with nowhere to go
Scores of Palestinians were killed on 18 August as Israeli troops pushed deeper into central and southern Gaza while simultaneously bombarding the besieged strip.
Seven Palestinians, including a mother and six children, were killed in Israeli strikes on a residential building in the central city of Deir al-Balah, WAFA news agency reported on Sunday.
“Airstrikes targeted a home in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, killing four people and injuring dozens. In Gaza City, Israeli military vehicles fired heavy gunfire at homes in the Sabra and Zaytoun neighborhoods, while intense artillery shelling and air raids further devastated these areas,” WAFA added.
At least one was killed and several injured in the attacks on Gaza City’s Sabra neighborhood.
Rescue teams also recovered the bodies of four people, as well as several injured, after Israeli attacks on the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern strip.

The House Judiciary Committee has issued a stern critique of the European Union’s actions, which they perceive as an attempt to “silence great Americans like Elon Musk,” and is considering launching an investigation into what they deem an “infringement on free speech.”
Committee Chair Jim Jordan escalated tensions on Thursday by dispatching a strongly worded letter to EU Commissioner Thierry Breton, accusing him of employing legal measures to target Musk.
The contention arises shortly after Breton, in a public post, cautioned Musk against allowing “hateful content” to proliferate on X, especially in the lead-up to a scheduled discussion with former President Trump. The Ukrainian suspect was in Poland but has left the country
German prosecutors have issued an arrest warrant for a Ukrainian man they believe was involved in the sabotage of the Nord Stream natural gas pipelines, which connect Russia and Germany.
The man, who was identified by the media as 44-year-old Volodymyr Zhuravlov, is a professional diver who was last seen in Poland, but Polish prosecutors have said the suspect has already left the country, making it unclear if he will actually be arrested.
The Nord Stream pipelines were bombed in September 2022. At the time, many Western journalists and officials were quick to blame Russia even though it didn’t make sense for Moscow to bomb its own pipelines.
In 2023, investigative journalist Seymour Hersh published a report that alleged the pipelines were bombed under the direction of President Biden. According to Hersh’s account, US Navy divers planted explosives on the pipelines during NATO exercises in the Baltic Sea in June 2022, and they were detonated by a Norwegian spy plane a few months later.
As evidence that the US had the motive for the attack, Hersh’s report pointed to threats from President Biden and former State Department official Victoria Nuland that the US would take action against Nord Stream if Russia invaded Ukraine. Flashback: Biden Threatened to "Bring an End" to Nord Stream 2 Pipeline Just Prior To Russian Invasion
The Danish prime minister said Tuesday (Sept. 27) that she "cannot rule out" sabotage after three leaks were detected on the Nord Stream pipelines running under the Baltic Sea.
Danish authorities announced Monday that a leak was detected in the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which has never been used. They were later informed of a major pressure drop on Nord Stream 1, which until recently has been a key source of gas to Germany.
In addition to Denmark, Germany and Russia also came on record today suspecting sabotage.
In early Feb. before Russia invaded, Biden gave a direct threat towards the Nord Stream Pipeline, which may have come to manifest. Recently news broke that the CIA warned Germany about possible attacks to the pipeline.
NS 2 has never operated, while NS 1 carried gas to Germany until this month, when Russian energy giant Gazprom cut off the supply.
