BMJ Investigation: The FDA and Moderna’s Cosy Relationship: How LAX Rules Enable a Revolving Door Culture
Feature BMJ Investigation —After holding oversight roles for covid vaccines, two regulators from the US Food and Drug Administration went to work for Moderna. Peter Doshi reports:
"The physician-scientist Doran Fink worked his way up at the Food and Drug Administration, with a focus on the regulation of vaccines. Starting as a clinical reviewer in 2010, he was promoted to lead medical officer in the FDA’s Office of Vaccines Research and Review, overseeing a small team of medical officers responsible for infectious diseases and related biological products.
During the covid-19 pandemic Fink took on a public role, appearing in numerous FDA and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advisory committee meetings to discuss covid vaccines and serving on the senior leadership team for covid vaccine review and policy activities. Part of his role was to engage vaccine manufacturers to advise on the development of vaccines during the pandemic. In mid-2020 Fink announced the FDA’s expectations for any covid vaccine that the agency would consider authorising, and he took part in the ultimate decision to license the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.
Fink’s LinkedIn profile states that he finished his role at the FDA in December 2022. Two months later he was working at Moderna, heading the translational medicine and early clinical development programme in infectious diseases. He is one of two regulators The BMJ has found to have recently moved to Moderna from the FDA’s Office of Vaccines Research and Review."

The Israelis are pushing Palestinians further and further south until they can force Egypt to take them. Then they will target the West Bank where they’ll claim Hamas was somehow able to run off to. They’ll attempt the same strategy pushing everyone into Jordan. The worst part will be all the people who continue to justify the brutality.

Will Israeli Military Find Tunnels and a Bunker Under Al-Shifa? Yes.
They built it themselves back in 1983 when the Israeli military ruled Gaza.
Any such finding, in and of itself, will not justify Israel’s barbaric bombing and raid of the hospital. Israel has still not presented any proof that Hamas has been using the hospital or the bunker that Israel built as its “command and control.” Both local and foreign doctors have denied any such allegation and Israel rejected offers to have an international delegation inspect.
Instead it raided the hospital, after detaining and removing all journalist. There is no one to document except the military itself which will show you what it wants the world to believe.

What’s Next for Ukraine: The Outlines of a Peaceful Settlement
As Ukraine’s counteroffensive begins to unravel, it is not clear that the hundreds of thousands of deaths already suffered have purchased any of its goals.
Ukraine is not in NATO, and it has not received any firm assurance that it will ever be. All that has happened is that the fifteen year old promise that Ukraine will some day become a member of NATO has been updated to a promise that Ukraine will “join the Alliance when Allies agree and conditions are met.” Recognizing the ruse, Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, has bitterly complained that “It’s unprecedented and absurd when time frame is not set neither for the invitation nor for Ukraine’s membership. While at the same time vague wording about ‘conditions’ is added even for inviting Ukraine.”
Ukraine is not whole. It has not pushed Russia off its land or reacquired any significant amount of contested territory. Donbass and Crimea remain firmly in Russia’s control. No Ukrainian advance severed Crimea from the mainland. Indeed, as the New York Times pointed out at the end of September, during this counteroffensive Ukraine actually lost more territory than it gained.
As a result, Ukraine is not in any better position to negotiate, as US president Biden promised it would be a year and a half ago. Instead, it is in a far worse bargaining position now than it was during the first weeks of the war, when it initialed a tentative ceasefire agreement with Russia promising to forgo NATO membership in exchange for a Russian withdrawal to its prewar position. At that point, Ukraine could have ended the conflict with relatively few casualties, and its miliary and infrastructure still intact, but the US blocked peace efforts and urged Ukrainian leaders to fight on in pursuit of US goals, according to several sources who were present at the talks, or in a position to know.
And yet, the US has no more achieved any of its goals than has Ukraine. It has not seen Russia’s militarily weakened, a goal Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin identified. Indeed, several Western analysts have suggested that Russia is now stronger militarily than it was in April 2022.
Nor has Russia been “devastated by sanctions” as Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen promised; its economy has, instead, grown. General Valery Zaluzhny, the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian armed forces, even stated recently that “the capabilities of [Russia’s] military industry are increasing, despite the introduction by the world’s leading countries of unprecedented sanctions against the aggressor state.” There has been no uprising in Russia against the war; not even a perceptible dent in Putin’s domestic popularity. And, to add insult to injury, Russia is far from isolated diplomatically, as shown by the lackluster international response to calls to boycott Russia, and the growing interest in multipolar international organizations favored by Russia like BRICS.

Senior adviser Mark Regev was asked on live TV about the Israeli spokesmen who have falsely claimed that there were terrorist names on a hand written calendar on a hospital & that Palestinians were faking their injuries on camera.
He tried to change the subject several times until he had to accept "the honest mistake", yet the Israeli had still not officially took down the fake reports.
Regev also admitted that 200 of the 1400 killed by Hamas on October the 7th are actually Hamas fighters (remember the photos of the truck full of burnt bodies) bringing down the Israeli casualties of that day to 1200 according to Israel sources, from which many of them are actually occupation soldiers.

Japan Shares Hit Three-Decade High, Yuan Shoves Dollar Down
Japanese shares hit highs not seen since 1990 on Monday as strong earnings and offshore demand fuelled a three-week winning streak, while the yuan was pushed higher by China's central bank leading to broader softness in the dollar.
Japan's Nikkei (.N225) ran into profit-taking at the peak but was still up 8.2% for the month so far with the Topix (.TOPX) not far behind.
Financial shares led the gains on Monday as investors prepare for an eventual end to negative rates, while auto makers have been benefiting from a weak yen and high exports.

Deputy Speaker of Israeli Knesset ‘We Are Too Humane. Burn Gaza Now No Less!’
An Israeli official called for the complete destruction of Gaza. In six weeks of bombing Gaza, Israeli forces have killed over 5,500 Palestinian Children. Still, Deputy Speaker of the Knesset Nissim Vaturi said, “We are too humane. Burn Gaza now no less!”
Vaturi, a Lukid Member of the Knesset, made the remarks in response to the Israeli government allowing a small amount of fuel into Gaza. “All of this preoccupation with whether or not there is internet in Gaza shows that we have learned nothing. We are too humane. Burn Gaza now no less!” he demanded. “Don’t allow fuel in, don’t allow water in until the hostages are returned back!”
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed to allow two trucks of fuel into Gaza every other day. However, aid groups say the small amount of fuel is insufficient to maintain basic humanitarian operations.

🚨🚨Israel Implemented ‘Mass Hannibal’ Directive on 7 October: Israeli Pilot
Col. Nof Erez says the Israeli military likely killed its own civilians in multiple instances on 7 October to prevent them being taken back to Gaza as captives of Hamas
Israeli Air Force (reserve) Col. Nof Erez has described Israel’s actions on 7 October as a “mass Hannibal” event, in reference to the controversial directive ordering Israeli commanders to kill their own soldiers to prevent them being taken captive.
In an interview with Haaretz on 15 November, Col. Erez discussed the response of Israel’s fleet of Apache attack helicopters as Hamas fighters infiltrated military bases and settlements in an effort to take soldiers and civilians captive back to Gaza.
He describes how the pilots opened fire on multiple places along the border fence to prevent Hamas from taking the captives back, killing both Hamas fighters and Israelis.
As a result, “The Hannibal directive was probably deployed because once you detect a hostage situation, this is Hannibal.”
A 2003 Haaretz investigation of the directive concluded that “from the point of view of the army, a dead soldier is better than a captive soldier who himself suffers and forces the state to release thousands of captives in order to obtain his release.”
