The collaboration appears to stretch across the largest ad agency holding companies worldwide, known collectively as the Big Six. Such collaboration raises concerns about a concerted effort to police content, especially content that challenges mainstream narratives.

Specifically, the report highlights GARM’s actions following the rebranding of Twitter by Elon Musk and its attempts to silence discussions on controversial topics like COVID-19 vaccines on Spotify’s “The Joe Rogan Experience.” Despite no “brand safety” risks acknowledged by GroupM, GARM still pressed for advertising restrictions on Rogan’s podcast.

Moreover, internal communications within GARM reveal selective targeting against platforms like The Daily Wire, categorized under the “Global High Risk exclusion list” for purportedly promoting “Conspiracy Theories.” The report also includes examples where GARM leaders expressed disdain towards conservative outlets such as Fox News, The Daily Wire, and Breitbart News, aiming to curtail their advertising revenue by labeling their content as objectionable.

The committee’s findings suggest that GARM’s methods not only potentially contravene Section 1 of the Sherman Act, which prohibits conspiracies that restrain commerce but also infringe upon fundamental American freedoms by censoring protected speech. Israel Bombs Tent Of Journalists

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) dropped a bomb on a tent sheltering journalists covering the situation at the Al Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.

On Monday, journalist Haydar Ibrahim al-Msaddar and several others experienced serious injuries when an Israeli munition hit a tent near the hospital in central Gaza. Youssef al-Hindi, a rescue worker, told Middle East Eye, “All the contents in the tent are journalistic equipment.”

According to the Gaza Media Ministry, Msaddar is the 163rd journalist killed over the past nine months, a rate of over four reporters a week. The mass killing of journalists has left a shroud over the situation in Gaza and has allowed Tel Aviv to hide many of its war crimes in the Strip.

Msaddar is one of the over 50 people killed across Gaza on Monday. At least 39,000 Palestinians have been killed in the Israeli onslaught over the past nine months.

A doctor at the Al-Aqsa Hospital said it was the second time an Israeli has recently stuck a tent near the facility. Khalil al-Dakran told Middle East Eye, “This shows the continuation of the genocide and the massacres in the Gaza Strip. That is very dangerous because hospitals provide health services while citizens are being targeted.”

Instagram Restricts Paralympian Shooter Over Gun Content

Shooting has not been outlawed as a sport, nor has it been excluded from the Olympics, but several members of US Olympic and Paralympic shooting teams are getting censored on Instagram.

The reason is photos showing them and their firearms. One is Paralympian McKenna Geer, whose account has been “restricted” – so far, according to reports, without the possibility of appeal. The message notifying this user of Instagram’s censorship contains an appeal button – but “it doesn’t work.”

“I have always feared the day the media would censor my sport and speech just because I use firearms. That day has finally come,” Greer said in a post, along with screenshots of Instagram’s notifications.

The athlete was given the option to edit or remove the flagged posts, or “edit her profile” in order to remedy the situation.

Israel Launches New Assault On Khan Younis, Kills 70 Palestinians

The Israeli military began a heavy bombardment of the area immediately after ordering Palestinians to evacuate

On Monday, the Israeli military launched a new assault on the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis and ordered the evacuation of an area where 400,000 Palestinians were sheltering.

According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA , a heavy assault began almost immediately after the evacuation order, giving Palestinians on the ground no time to prepare and forcing them to flee under fire.

Gaza’s Health Ministry said the Israeli air and ground assault killed at least 70 Palestinians. “Due to the Israeli occupation’s attacks and massacres in Khan Younis governorate from the early hours of this morning until now, 70 people have been martyred and more than 200 wounded,” the ministry said, according to Al Jazeera .

The ministry said the dead included women and children. “We are tired. We are tired in Gaza. Every day our children are martyred – every day, every moment,” Ahmed Sammour, who lost family members in the Israeli attack, told Reuters. “No one told us to evacuate. They brought four floors crashing down on civilians, … and the bodies they could reach, they brought to the refrigerator [morgue].”

The IDF evacuation order covered some areas that were previously declared so-called “safe zones.” Such areas have been bombed by the IDF throughout the genocidal assault on Gaza, including the al-Mawasi camp, part of which was ordered to be evacuated on Monday.

According to the UN, about 1.9 million Palestinians, or nine in 10 people, have been internally displaced in Gaza. Some Palestinians have been displaced up to 10 times due to Israeli attacks.

The Israeli leader will address a joint session of Congress

On Monday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived in the US , where he is scheduled to address a joint session of Congress.

Netanyahu’s visit comes amid political turmoil in the US as President Biden announced on Sunday that he was dropping out of the presidential race and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris.

Biden was supposed to host Netanyahu at the White House on Tuesday, but an Israeli source told The Times of Israel that the meeting might not happen because the president is still sick with COVID-19.

Netanyahu’s visit comes as he has been sabotaging the chances of reaching a ceasefire and hostage deal with Hamas, a fact widely acknowledged by Israeli officials and media outlets. Even the Israeli security and military establishment has been pushing for Netanyahu to agree to a deal.

While the US claims it has been pushing for a ceasefire, the Biden administration has refused to condemn Netanyahu’s actions and continues to provide full-throated support for the genocidal war on Gaza.

Before departing Israel, Netanyahu said Israel would be a strong ally of the US, regardless of who is in charge of Washington. “I will tell my friends on both sides of the aisle that regardless who the American people choose as their next president, Israel remains America’s indispensable and strong ally in the Middle East,” he said.

US Criticizes ICJ Ruling That Israeli Occupation Of Palestine Is Illegal

The US claims the ruling will impede a two-state solution

The US has criticized the International Court of Justice’s (ICJ) ruling that said the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories is illegal and must come to an end , claiming it impedes a two-state solution.

“We are concerned that the breadth of the court’s opinion will complicate efforts to resolve the conflict and bring about an urgently needed just and lasting peace, with two states living side-by-side in peace and security,” a State Department spokesperson told Reuters in an email on Saturday.

The spokesperson said the ICJ ruling, which was a non-binding opinion, was “inconsistent with the established framework.”

In contrast, the US refused to condemn the Israeli Knesset passing a resolution that rejects the establishment of a Palestinian state west of the Jordan River, which covers all of the occupied territories.

“I’ll let Israeli officials speak to their own legislative chamber and the actions that that chamber takes,” State Department spokesman Vedant Patel said about the Knesset vote. He claimed the US was still committed to a two-state solution, but the US continues to back an Israeli government that’s explicitly opposed to the idea.

The ICJ ruling said the establishment and expansion of Israeli settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem amounted to annexation. Since October 7, Israeli settlers have stepped up their attacks on Palestinians to steal their homes, and the Israeli government has approved the largest land grab in the West Bank in 30 years.
