Biden Has ‘Productive Discussion’ with Xi, Then Slams Chinese Leader as ‘Dictator’

Blinken's Face after Joe Biden Calls Chinese President Xi a "Dictator" 😂😂

Jason Howerton would remark
:

"He's not wrong. But he is an idiot. We're trying to calm tensions with China at a time where World War 3 has never been more possible.
You want someone in office who understands what time it is."

Antiwar.com reports: "During the summit between Biden and Xi, the leaders agreed to resume military-to-military communications once China appoints a new defense minister... The leaders also agreed to attempt to curb fentanyl trafficking.'

Biden described the talks as 'some of the most constructive and productive discussions we’ve had.' "

🆕 The Real Reason Everyone Followed China’s Lockdown Example

China took the lead in lockdowns in 2020. Media exported from China showed people dropping dead in the streets. Caskets were piling up. Doors to buildings were sealed to lock in tenants. Throughout the panic, all reasonable alternative assessments of risks from the viral outbreak were ignored, censored, or rejected.

Nevertheless, I wondered whether a video of a person falling down in the street was really representative of the entire population. Were caskets piling up largely due to families fearing to claim them because of contamination with the virus? I noticed that the front doors to my local mall in Ontario, Canada had also been sealed, just like in China apartment buildings, but this was only to control access through a single entrance to the building, not to seal in customers.

My first clue that the emergency response to the outbreak of the coronavirus didn’t seem to make sense was when I heard Fauci tell television audiences that if our response seems to be overreacting, then we are probably doing the right thing. What? Since when is overreacting ever the right thing to do? Do generals win wars by overreacting?

The answer to why countries followed China’s lockdowns is simple. They were told to do so by the World Health Organization (WHO). The better question is: why did the WHO tell them to do that?

However, there is more to the story. Was this even really a novel coronavirus, or just a novel genetic sequence of the coronavirus showing greater detail than previously available?

Kenya Expands Its Controversial Digital ID System

Taking a decisive move towards embracing dystopian technology, the Kenyan government has formally published legislation redecorating its digital ID system. The new modality builds upon its existing infrastructure for biometric citizen registration, allotting provisions for the issuance of a digital ID card, a comprehensive digital register of individuals, and a unique personal identifier.

The proposal includes the UPI, making the process of generating birth certificates simpler by directly assigning them to newborns.

Without abandoning its traditional modality, the Kenyan government has modernized its ID verification requirements. Building upon already controversial fingerprint biometrics, they introduced advancements in facial recognition and iris biometrics to their verification repertoire.

Israel Sets Sights on Southern Gaza: Report

Tel Aviv has repeatedly bombed the southern Gaza Strip while simultaneously telling civilians they would be safe there

Members of the Israeli war cabinet are in favor of expanding the current ground invasion into the southern Gaza Strip, a senior security official told Hebrew news outlet Walla on 17 November.

According to the source, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, minister Benny Gantz, and former army chief of staff Gadi Eisenkot are all in agreement for expanding the ground war – regardless of ongoing talks for prisoner releases.

Intense clashes have been raging across the northern Gaza Strip. Israel expanded its limited incursions into the strip late last month and, by early November, had begun its advance toward Gaza City.

This week, Israel announced the capture of a number of Hamas government buildings, as well as the main port in Gaza.

Since the start of the war, Israel has repeatedly told Gazan civilians to evacuate to the south, claiming they would be safe.

However, the Israeli army dropped leaflets in the southern city of Khan Yunis on 15 November, warning people to evacuate and saying that anybody found in close proximity to Hamas fighters would be in “danger.”

The army’s Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi said on Friday, 17 November, that Israel is “close to dismantling the military system in northern Gaza,” adding that it “will continue to work in other areas.”

Warplanes have continued to target southern Gaza despite Israel simultaneously urging civilians to evacuate south.

Biden Camp Weighs Joining TikTok to Sway Young Voters Months After Purging App From Federal Devices: Report

President Biden's re-election campaign is reportedly weighing privately whether to join the Chinese-owned social media platform TikTok.

Axios first reported on Friday that Biden's team was considering using the platform, owned by the Chinese company ByteDance, though a spokesman for the president's re-election downplayed the story.

The president's talks about potentially joining TikTok come after his administration banned the app from being used on federal devices earlier this year.

Iraqi Resistance Hits Multiple US Bases in Iraq, Syria

The Pentagon says US bases across Iraq and Syria have been attacked at least 55 times since the start of the Gaza-Israel war

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced on 17 November its forces attacked three US bases in Syria and Iraq.

“In response to the crimes committed by the enemy against our people in Gaza, the Mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq targeted the American occupation base, Tal Baidar, west of the Syrian city of Hasakah, with two drones, and they directly hit their targets,
” a statement by umbrella-group read.

The coalition announced earlier on Friday the targeting of two other bases in Iraq, the Harir base and the Ain al-Assad base.

US bases in Iraq and Syria have been under constant attacks since the middle of last month. The attacks come in solidarity with the resistance in Gaza and in rejection of US support for Israel’s ongoing war there.

Several missile and drone attacks targeted US occupation bases in Syria on 13 November. The attacks were a direct response to the latest round of US airstrikes on the country, which Washington claims as “self-defense.”

According to Al-Mayadeen’s correspondent, the attacks “led to the deaths of four US soldiers.”

Report: DOJ Asked Court To Hide Surveillance of Congressional Investigators

The former congressional investigator Jason Foster has exposed a five year secret surveillance operation conducted by the Department of Justice (DOJ) on members of congress and their staff.
According to Foster, who now heads the Empower Oversight whistleblower center, the DOJ managed to obtain a federal court’s approval for this covert spying, largely centered on personal communication data of the targets.

Just The News reports that in his role as the chief investigative counsel for Senator Chuck Grassley on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Foster worked vigilantly to discern wrongdoings within the government. However, his communications were closely monitored as part of a federal leaks investigation, the evidence which has been recently unveiled to him by Google’s lawyers.

Foster divulged that the data pertaining to his personal conversations was procured by the government in 2017, a fact that should have been disclosed to him by 2018 under the initial court order.

However, due to the DOJ’s petitions to the court to keep this surveillance confidential, Foster had been oblivious to the surveillance until recent months, nearly six years after his personal data was subpoenaed.

‘Iran Will Do Everything to Help Palestinian Resistance:’ IRGC Commander

The leader of the Quds Force hailed the achievements of the resistance in Gaza against Israel just as Tehran announced it has had communications with the US to avoid the spread of the war

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force Commander, General Esmail Qaani, issued a letter addressed to the commander of the Al-Qassam Brigades in Gaza, Mohammed Deif, on 16 November, vowing that Tehran will “do everything necessary” to support the Palestinian resistance.

“You have scripted a great epic titled ‘The Flood of Al-Aqsa.' The Almighty has granted this achievement to the fighters of the Qassam Brigades and other resistance fighters in Gaza,”
the letter expounds before highlighting that the Palestinians exposed “the weakness and fragility of the oppressive Zionist entity, proving practically and decisively that this entity is weaker than a spider's web.”

“In conclusion, we affirm the covenant, the commitment, and the fraternal and religious bond that unites us. Rest assured that we will do everything necessary in this historic battle within our ongoing protection and effective support for the resistance,
” Qaani stresses.

🚨BREAKING: US Army Asks Troops Who Left over COVID Mandate to Come Back as War Looms

"Individuals who desire to apply to return to service should contact their local Army, US Army Reserve, or Army National Guard."

The United States Army is inviting service members to return to the branch who had been separated over the refusal of the COVID-19 vaccine. This comes as the US Military struggles to achieve targeted recruitment numbers due to years of "woke" political activism which has reportedly turned off its primary recruitment base.

The Army issued a recent letter to "former service members" informing them that they can apply to return to service following the rescission of the vaccine requirement.

The Army had enacted forced separations for unvaccinated service members early last year, and announced in early 2023 that they had rescinded the mandate for current service members and applicants.

Netanyahu Claims Israel ‘Not Successful’ in Minimizing Civilian Casualties in Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed Israel was “trying to [minimize] civilian casualties. But unfortunately, we’re not successful.” The prime minister’s statement comes as the UN warns that the Israeli fuel embargo of Gaza could cause widespread starvation in the besieged enclave.

In an interview with CBS News on Thursday, the Israeli Prime Minister said Tel Aviv was trying to wipe out Hamas with minimal civilian casualties. He stated, “That’s what we’re trying to do: minimal civilian casualties. But unfortunately, we’re not successful.”

Iran Told US It Doesn’t Want Regional Escalation, Says Report

Iran used back channels to tell US that regional escalation was not its priority, while also telling Hamas it would not join the fight, Tehran's top diplomat tells the Financial Times

Iran has told the US that it was not seeking for the conflict between Israel and Hamas to spread, but that further Israeli assaults on Gaza could result in a regional spillover, according to statements by Iran’s top diplomat on Friday.

“Over the past 40 days, messages have been exchanged between Iran and the US, via the US interests section at the Swiss embassy in Tehran,”
Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said in an interview with the Financial Times.

In response to the US, Amirabdollahian had told Washington that “Iran does not want the war to spread, but due to the approach adopted by the US and Israel in the region, if the crimes against the people of Gaza and the West Bank are not stopped, any possibility could be considered, and a wider conflict could prove inevitable".

Poll: Sympathy for Palestinians Grows Among U.S. Voters

The number of U.S. voters who sympathize with Palestinians more than Israelis has slightly grown since near the start of the Israel-Hamas war, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll published Thursday.

Why it matters:
The new survey reinforces the generational divide and disagreements within the Democratic Party over the war, as the decrease in sympathies for Israelis was largely driven by young voters and Democrats.

The poll results also indicate that divisions in voters' opinions on the war are growing more stark.

>..A majority of voters (54%) still have more sympathy for Israelis than they do for Palestinians, but that has fallen since Quinnipiac's Oct. 17 poll, when 61% said Israelis and 13% said Palestinians.
