🇺🇦🇷🇺 The corner of the house was hit, emerging around is damaged with shrapnel.
That’s not an 800kg (nor 450kg) warhead, there’s no crater and the building still mostly intact.
So:
1) Air defense missile produces such shrapnel.
2) Warhead size fits an air defense missile.

Arab Food Exports to Israel Continue Despite Boycott Call: Report
Hundreds of food products from Arab countries are certified as kosher for export to Israel
Arab states, including Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, and the UAE, continue to export food products to Israel despite its ongoing atrocities against Palestinians in Gaza, an investigation by Middle East Eye (MEE) and Arabic Post published on 2 July showed.
The investigation found that hundreds of food products made by companies in Arab states have been certified as kosher for export to Israel, including dozens manufactured in these countries since the start of the war in October last year.
The Chief Rabbinate of Israel must issue kosher certificates indicating compliance with Jewish law for food products to be sold in Israeli shops and supermarkets.
MEE also found examples of kosher-certified products imported from Arab countries being sold in Israeli supermarkets and online.
In some cases, food products may have been exported to Israel via companies and distributors in third countries.
The investigation found that despite international condemnation of Israel and calls for its boycott, “the infrastructure for trade between Israel and regional countries remains in place.”
In some cases, trade between Arab states and Israel has increased compared to the same period last year, before the war began.
Data published by Israel's Central Bureau of Statistics and cited by MEE showed that imports from Egypt to Israel in May 2024 were valued at $25 million, twice the amount for the same month in 2023.
Israeli imports from the UAE and Jordan were also higher in May 2024 compared to May the year before.
Mahmoud Nawaja, national committee general coordinator for the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, told MEE, “The trade growth between these Arab countries and Israel can only be considered as their involvement and complicity in Israeli crimes against Palestinians, and the genocide in Gaza specifically.”
“It does not reflect the position of the Arab people, who have been calling for a complete boycott. These states are sustaining the Israeli colonial regime under the direction of the US,” he added.
...The Israeli data also provides insight into the strength of recent trade ties between Israel and Turkiye, with 2,772 food products produced by 290 Turkish companies registered as kosher.
Trade between Israel and Turkiye also continues despite a formal ban on exports to Israel by the Turkish government in response to the Gaza war.

New US Govt Official Quits Citing Biden’s ‘Funding and Enabling’ of Gaza Genocide — July 3rd
At least a dozen US officials have resigned since October in opposition to Washington's continued support of Israel's campaign of genocide
The White House on 2 July was hit by a new resignation from an official opposing President Joe Biden's unrestrained support for the Israeli genocide of Palestinians in Gaza.
“I am resigning today from my position as a Biden administration appointee in the Department of the Interior. As a Muslim American, I cannot continue working for an administration that ignores the voices of its diverse staff by continuing to fund and enable Israel's genocide of Palestinians,” Maryam Hassanein, the former special assistant and assistant secretary for land and minerals management, said in a letter posted on social media.
“Instead of using US leverage to stop the killing, President Biden has continued funding this violence, while fueling hate crimes against Palestinian Americans by repeating anti-Arab tropes and outright lies,” Hassanein's letter adds.
Her resignation came just hours before 12 former US government officials who quit in opposition to the Israeli genocide of Palestinians issued a joint public statement recommending the White House “change course,” calling Biden's policy on Gaza “a failure and a threat to US national security” that “dehumanizes both Palestinians and Jews.”
“This failed policy has not achieved its stated objectives – it has not made Israelis any safer, it has emboldened extremists while it has been devastating for the Palestinian people, ensuring a vicious cycle of poverty and hopelessness, with all the implications of that cycle, for generations to come. As a group of dedicated Americans in service of our country, we insist that there is another way,” the joint statement reads.
“Our nation’s political and economic interests across the region have also been significantly harmed, while US credibility has been deeply undermined worldwide at a time we need it most, when the world is characterized by a new era of strategic competition … Who does not now laugh when Secretary [of State Antony] Blinken describes the ‘rules-based international order’ while simultaneously undermining it in favor of Israel?” the statement goes on to add.
Several US military and government officials have resigned since October in protest against Washington’s support of Israel.

Hezbollah Launches Largest Strike Yet Against Israeli Mountain Base — Yesterday July 8th
Israel drone strike kills Hezbollah rocket and missile unit member in southern Lebanon
Hezbollah officials announced Sunday that they had launched their biggest attack on Israel, with a massive drone assault on the Mount Hermon reconnaissance base in the occupied Golan Heights. This was the biggest attack since the beginning of the tit-for-tat Israeli and Hezbollah attacks that started after October 7.
The attack came as Hezbollah sent a flurry of explosive drones across the border targeting the Mount Hermon base, destroying electronic and surveillance systems and starting a fire in the area.
Hezbollah said the attack was part of the retaliation for the death of Maytham Mustafa al-Attar. Attar was a member of Hezbollah’s air defense unit who was killed in an attack on his vehicle in Baalbek District, in northeastern Lebanon.
This is reported to be the first Hezbollah attack on the base. A media source said this was the first attack on the Mount Hermon base since the 1973 Arab-Israel war. Hezbollah has, however, targeted other military bases in northern Israel...
Israel and Hezbollah have been trading attacks since October, with a growing number of strikes in recent weeks. There has been concern that the escalating strikes will lead to a full-scale Israeli invasion of Lebanon.
Israel is doing nothing to downplay the chances of war. The US and other nations are concerned that Israel’s involvement in the Gaza War precludes Israel’s ability to commit enough forces to successfully invade Lebanon. Efforts to forge a ceasefire in Gaza have provoked Israeli officials to present peace as an opportunity to further escalate on its northern border.
Hezbollah says it would honor a Gaza ceasefire, but Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant says a separate deal is needed, and that Israel fully intends to continue fighting Hezbollah even if a Gaza truce is reached.

Mississippi’s Age-Verification Digital ID Law is Declared Unconstitutional
A Mississippi state law (introduced as House Bill 1126) that, among other things, requires platforms to implement age verification, has been declared as by and large unconstitutional by the US District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi.
The law was challenged by Big Tech trade group NetChoice in the NetChoice v. Fitch lawsuit. As the law was to come into force on July 1, the plaintiff asked for a preliminary injunction to prevent enforcement.
This has now been granted in part and denied in part by the district court, which found that “a substantial number, if not all, of H.B. 1126’s applications are unconstitutional judged in relation to its legitimate sweep.”
We obtained a copy of the decision for you here.
Observers now expect to see how the ruling might satisfy the – apparent – direction the Supreme Court is giving to lower courts, or affect its own future decisions.
Meanwhile, the Mississippi law is yet another in a series of legislative efforts introduced under the banner of protecting children from predatory behavior online. As summed up by the court, one of the bill’s sections requires “all users” – adults and children – to verify their age.
This would be necessary to create an account, on what is referred to as non-excluded internet services, while another provision calls for parental consent in case a minor is opening that account.
“This burdens adults’ First Amendment rights, and that alone makes it overinclusive,” is how the court explained its ruling against age verification.

US Delays Announcing Timetable for Iraq ‘Withdrawal’
Talks between Baghdad and Washington regarding an end to the US coalition’s combat mission in Iraq have failed to take off
The US has backtracked from a decision to announce a timeframe for a reduction in the number of its forces in Iraq, sources told Al Mayadeen on 8 July.
“The American side backed down from its decision to announce the reduction of forces during internal deliberations before meeting with the Iraqi side, within the framework of the Iraqi–American bilateral committee,” the sources said.
“There is a link between the decision to postpone the announcement of the reduction in Iraq, after the process of withdrawing American forces from Niger took priority,” they added.
The US army withdrew its forces from Air Base 101 in Niger on 7 July, in line with an order issued by the country’s ruling military council in April – which demanded the withdrawal of Washington’s troops.
The US is also set to withdraw from a major drone base in Niger’s desert city of Agadez in the coming weeks.
Baghdad and Washington renewed talks in January aimed at ending the mission of the US coalition in Iraq and transitioning it to an advisory role from a combat role. That month, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq (IRI) coalition, which banded together in October in support of Gaza, halted the attacks it had been carrying out against US bases in the country since the start of the war.
The decision was a result of pressure from the Iraqi government and followed the killing of three US soldiers on the Jordanian–Syrian border in an Iraqi resistance drone attack on 28 January. At the time, the IRI said it would stop its attacks to allow Baghdad to continue negotiations with the US...
However, talks between Baghdad and Washington continue to stall.
...Pentagon press secretary General Patrick Ryder confirmed earlier that month that the US has no plans to withdraw its forces from Iraq.

US Proxies in Syria Anxious Over Possible Damascus–Ankara Reconciliation
Despite longstanding tension with Damascus, US-backed Kurds have expressed openness to coordinating with Syria against Turkish occupation
The Kurdish-led Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) has expressed concerns over a potential advancement in reconciliation between Damascus and Ankara.
“The recent unrest in Afrin, Al-Bab, Al-Rai, and Azaz is a direct result of Turkey's closer ties with Damascus, which has demanded Turkish withdrawal from all Syrian territories,” Fathullah Husseini, representative of the AANES in Iraq’s northern Kurdistan region, told The New Arab on 3 July.
He added that Turkiye’s promise to protect armed opposition groups on its payroll, namely the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) coalition of factions, has been undermined by talks between Damascus and Ankara.
Husseini said that the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the US-backed Kurdish militia linked to the AANES, has “no military plans” aimed at the city of Afrin in northeast Syria and is committed to agreements for “self-protection and anti-terrorism” with the illegal occupying US army in the country.
“Any Turkish–Syrian agreement on northwest Syria would primarily impact Kurds [negatively], including the AANES and the Kurdistan Region in Iraq, where Turkey has intensified operations against Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) bases,” Husseini warned.
He also condemned Damascus’ “limited commitment” to talks between the AANES and the Syrian government.
There is a longstanding tension between the Arabs and the US-backed Kurdish forces in northern Syria. Last year, Arab tribes rallied together in an armed rebellion against the SDF in several areas, including northeastern Deir Ezzor.
Several months earlier, AANES and SDF representatives had been holding dialogue with the Syrian government. Despite tension between Damascus and the Kurds due to the latter’s aspirations for autonomy and independence in Syria, the SDF has expressed openness to coordinating with Syria against Turkish occupation.
The deputy co-chair of the AANES Executive Council, Hassan Kocher, told Hawar news agency on Wednesday that the autonomous administration is ready for talks with Damascus and for “the liberation of [Turkish] occupied areas alongside the Syrian army.”
He warned that Ankara takes advantage of all parties to advance its agenda and that Damascus “should not be fooled by these tricks.”
“The Damascus government must know that if it enters into any alliance with Turkey, it will lose Syria, and if it is in favor of dialogue or any agreement, we are ready.” He added that dialogue between Syria and the AANES is ongoing, with the aim of “reaching any agreement and solution that achieves stability for the region and the country.”
He also said the government should “abandon” the view that the AANES is a threat to Syria.
“We do not pose any threat to any party and we are not enemies to any party. We seek to build Syria and preserve the sovereignty of the country's territories. We have always said that we are ready to liberate the occupied Syrian regions in partnership with the Syrian army,” Kocher said. ..
...Damascus has repeatedly vowed over the months that it will not move forward with talks unless there is a Turkish commitment to withdraw its forces from Syria and end support for extremist factions, namely the SNA coalition.
Iraqi-mediated Syrian–Turkish talks are expected to be held in Baghdad in the near future.

Public inquiry into alleged SAS war crimes in Afghanistan obtains a previously deleted cache of data that could hold crucial evidence.
Files were erased from a server by a UK Special Forces contractor in 2016, during a murder investigation into the SAS
But the public inquiry team has now secured backups of the server – part of a Special Forces communications system codenamed "Sonata" – believed to have been created before the files were erased.
The backups are likely to contain information about SAS operations on which members of the elite regiment were suspected of unlawfully killing unarmed Afghan detainees and civilians.
A spokesperson for the inquiry confirmed to the BBC that they had obtained the backups, adding: “We now hold the relevant material and are exploring a technical solution to retrieve and review the data to determine its relevance to the investigation.”
The spokesperson said the inquiry team was approached during several days of hearings about computer evidence last December by someone offering them access to the backups, but the inquiry declined to comment on the source of the offer.
This is the first time backups of Sonata have been obtained by investigators outside UK Special Forces, which blocked previous efforts by the Royal Military Police (RMP) to copy the server.
To the dismay of the RMP investigators, a contractor hired by UK Special Forces (UKSF) during the murder investigation in 2016 ran a program on the server designed to permanently erase previously deleted files.
This process, known as "zeroing", flew in the face of explicit instructions the RMP had given to UKSF that no data should be tampered with before the server could be copied.
