Impossible To Make Hamas Disappear: Top Israeli Official

Officials have publicly opposed Netanyahu’s claims that the eradication of Hamas is a feasible outcome of the war

Israel’s head of the National Security Council, Tzachi Hanegbi, claimed on 25 June that it would be “impossible” to get rid of Hamas.

“It is impossible to make Hamas disappear as an idea,” Hanegbi said, adding that an alternative idea is required to deal with the Palestinian resistance group.

The official said the focus should not be just on “harming their military abilities. The alternative idea is a local leadership that is willing to live side-by-side with Israel and not dedicate its entire life to trying to kill Israelis.”

Hanegbi added that Tel Aviv was in talks with Washington over a potential joint effort by the US and some European and Arab nations to seek a replacement for Hamas in Gaza.

“I do not know of a single peace-seeking Arab country that wants the Hamas movement to survive,” Hanegbi said. “We will devote many weeks to efforts to reach a diplomatic agreement for the northern front.”

Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari had also said previously on 19 June that the stated goal to eradicate Hamas is unattainable.

“This business of destroying Hamas, making Hamas disappear – it’s simply throwing sand in the eyes of the public. Hamas is an idea; Hamas is a party. It’s rooted in the hearts of the people – anyone who thinks we can eliminate Hamas is wrong,” Hagari told Hebrew Channel 13.

The spokesman added, “If the government doesn’t find an alternative – [Hamas] will remain.”

Hagari’s comments made it known that there is a rift between the thinking of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and that of others in his government.

Jeffrey Epstein boasted about being a Mossad agent like Ghislaine Maxwell's father Robert, according to new bombshell claims made in a lawsuit.

A former girlfriend of the disgraced financier is suing his estate over claims he raped her at his New York mansion and claimed he was an Israeli spy.

The woman from California, referred to as Jane Doe 200, filed the lawsuit in Manhattan Federal Court on Monday and claimed she met Epstein in Los Angeles in 2000.

She said the late sex trafficker suggested he was a Mossad agent like Maxwell's father and was warned 'that it was not good to be Epstein’s enemy.'

Doe claimed their relationship was platonic before it became romantic and he later sexually assaulted her at his Upper East Side home in the fall of 2001.

The woman has named the co-executors of Epstein’s estate Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn as defendants and claims she suffered battery and intentionally inflicted emotional distress.

She said Epstein and Maxwell hinted he was an agent for the Israeli intelligence agency like her father. Both men are Jewish and donated heavily to organizations in Israel.

'It became obvious that Epstein was not only extremely wealthy but also suspiciously well-connected, more so than all the other powerful men with whom he associated,' the lawsuit states.

'Despite being in a committed relationship often spending nearly around-the-clock time together, what Epstein did for work was not clear.'

Robert Maxwell, a British newspaper magnate, is alleged to have been a Mossad agent - although he denied this furiously and regularly issued legal threats.

But his shocking death in which he fell from his $26.5million yacht, Lady Ghislaine, off the coast of Spain in 1991 sparked rumors of an assassination or the possibility of suicide.

He had a good relationship with Israel and would heavily invest in publishing, pharmaceutical and computer firms.

Robert had an impressive rise from an impoverished Czechoslovakian refugee to a war hero who later turned into an accomplished businessman, politician and media mogul.

Rumors of him being a Mossad agent rose again when he was given a hero's funeral on Israel's Mount of Olives, attended by former intelligence chiefs, the Israeli Prime Minister and Israeli President.

Supreme Court Rules 6-3 That Biden Administration Pressuring Platforms To Censor Speech Does Not Violate First Amendment

The US Supreme Court has ruled in the hotly-awaited decision for the Murthy v. Missouri case, reinforcing the government’s ability to engage with social media companies concerning the removal of speech about COVID-19 and more. This decision, affirming that these actions do not infringe upon First Amendment rights, delineates the limits of free speech on the internet, dealing a massive blow to freedom of expression online and the interpretation that the First Amendment prevents the government from pressuring platforms to remove legal speech.

The verdict, decided by a 6-3 vote, found that the plaintiffs lacked the standing to sue the Biden administration. The dissenting opinions came from conservative justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, and Neil Gorsuch.

John Vecchione, Senior Litigation Counsel at NCLA, responded to the ruling, telling Reclaim The Net, “The majority of the Supreme Court has declared open season on Americans’ free speech rights on the internet,” referring to the decision as an “ukase” that permits the federal government to influence third-party platforms to silence dissenting voices. Vecchione accused the Court of ignoring evidence and abdicating its responsibility to hold the government accountable for its actions that crush free speech.

Jenin Younes, another Litigation Counsel at NCLA, echoed Vecchione’s sentiments, labeling the decision a “travesty for the First Amendment” and a setback for the pursuit of scientific knowledge. “The Court has green-lighted the government’s unprecedented censorship regime,” Younes commented, reflecting concerns that the ruling might stifle expert voices on crucial public health and policy issues.

Looks like Assange will be stepping back into the fray eventually.

His wife, Stella, spoke to reporters this morning when Julian arrived in Australia, and said that Julian will need some time to recover before talking to the public.

Yet he remains “principled and unafraid”, implying that he doesn’t plan on shying away from the mission.

Stella also said they will be fighting for a pardon at some point in the near future, but right now, the focus is just getting Julian acclimated to freedom, and spending time with his family.

Netanyahu Rejects ‘Israeli Proposal’ for Gaza Ceasefire - June 24

Palestinians called the ceasefire proposal a ‘US–Israeli game’ to allow the ‘occupation to resume the aggression’ that has killed over 37,000 people

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on 23 June said he rejects a US-backed ceasefire deal with Hamas that would end the war in Gaza and bring Israeli captives home.

In an interview with Israel’s Channel 14, Netanyahu was asked if he agreed to end the war as part of a deal to exchange captives and said he didn’t. “I will not stop the war and leave Hamas standing in Gaza,” he said.

Hamas holds some 120 Israeli soldiers and civilians captive in Gaza. Israel holds thousands of Palestinian civilians and resistance fighters in its prisons and detention centers, where Palestinians are often tortured and raped.

“I am ready to do a partial deal, it is no secret, that will bring back some of the people. But we are committed to continue the war after the pause in order to achieve the goal of destroying Hamas. I will not give up on this,” Netanyahu added.

This marks the first time Netanyahu has publicly rejected the deal, which, according to US President Joe Biden, was an Israeli proposal.

The deal was heavily promoted by Biden and his Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, who insisted multiple times that Israel had formally accepted its terms. A UN Security Council was passed endorsing the deal and its terms.

Israeli Phosphorus Shells Burn South Lebanon After Fierce Hezbollah Attacks - June 24

As the threat of full-scale war looms over Lebanon, Hezbollah has vowed to confront any offensive without ‘limits, rules, or restraints’

Hezbollah carried out several operations against Israeli military sites on 23 June, including a guided missile attack that left several casualties.

“After careful monitoring of the Israeli enemy forces at the Metulla site, when a military vehicle was spotted moving in the vicinity of the site and after arriving at the ambush point, the Mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance targeted it with guided missiles and hit it directly, which led to its destruction and the deaths and injuries of those inside it,” the resistance group said in a statement on Sunday evening.

According to Hebrew media reports, mortar shells were fired toward the site of the attack afterward to obstruct attempts at evacuating the casualties.

The Israeli army admitted that two officers in the Metulla settlement’s security team were injured in the attack, including one seriously.

Israeli journalist Moshe Yair said via social media that one soldier was killed and six others injured by the Hezbollah attack on Metulla.

Israel responded with heavy bombardment on southern Lebanon, firing large amounts of internationally banned phosphorus shells at the towns of Kfar Kila, Khiam, and Tallet al-Azziyah.
