Hundreds Injured in Crimea, Russia Says Ukraine Used American Missiles
Russia reports over 100 were injured and five killed by Ukrainian attacks using American ATACMS missiles
The Russian Health Ministry reports that five people were killed and over 100 injured by a Ukrainian missile barrage in Crimea. Moscow claimed American cluster munitions were used in the attack.
On Sunday, Russian civilians in Crimea were hit with debris and cluster munitions from a Ukrainian attack. “According to latest reports, as a result of the shelling attack on Sevastopol by Ukrainian nationalists, 124 people, including 27 children, received wounds or injuries,” Russian health minister Alexey Kuznetsov said. It appears this attack was on people sunning and swimming at the beach.
The Russian news agency TASS reported that five American-made ATACMS with cluster munitions were used in the attack. Moscow claimed to down four missiles, and the fifth exploded over Sevastopol.
The Russian Defense Ministry said the US was responsible for the attack because of its role in helping Ukraine fire the ATACMS missiles. “All flight missions for the American ATACMS operational-tactical missiles are entered by American specialists based on US satellite reconnaissance data.” The statement continued, “Therefore, responsibility for the deliberate missile attack on civilians in Sevastopol lies primarily with Washington, which supplied these weapons to Ukraine, as well as the Kyiv regime, from whose territory this attack was launched.”
The statement added, “Such actions will not go unanswered.” The Kremlin labeled the attack an act of terrorism. Kiev claims the Crimea Peninsula is Ukrainian territory, but Russia has had full control over the region since Moscow annexed it in 2014.

“I wrote a letter to the State Bureau of Investigation calling for the opening of an investigation into one military general, who, in my opinion, killed more Ukrainian military personnel than any Russian general”
He says that he first tried to convey information about the general's actions to higher authorities, but "most of them didn't give a damn."
According to Krotevich, in Ukraine “battalion commanders and brigade commanders are tried for the loss of an observation post, but a general is not tried for the loss of regions and dozens of cities and the loss of thousands of soldiers.”
He stated that "the military now understands what kind of man I'm talking about because 99 percent of the military hates him for what he does."
“This man is starting an investigation against commanders who are advancing and are not losing ground, but he does not initiate official investigations against himself. I’m sick of this, the Rubicon has been crossed,” the military man wrote.
He did not name the general directly.

The probe identified numerous examples of Israeli forces overreacting or failing to act during the Hamas assault
A review by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) set to be released this summer will conclude that Israeli soldiers killed many of their own people on October 7, Israeli media reported. The inquiry is expected to identify multiple failures of the IDF during the Hamas rampage in southern Israel.
According to Israel’s Channel 12 News, the IDF report due to be released in mid-July found “many casualties due to our forces firing on our forces.” Tel Aviv has been accused of ordering its soldiers to kill hostages rather than allow Hamas to use them in negotiations, a policy long known as the ‘Hannibal Directive.’
The IDF’s October 7 review appears to point to incompetence rather than the intentional killing of its own civilians. However, Israeli outlet Ynet’s investigation of the IDF’s conduct found Tel Aviv had ordered troops to follow the Hannibal policy.
Still, the conclusions from the forthcoming report will amount to an official admission that scores, if not more, of Israelis were killed by IDF soldiers, not Hamas.
