MAS can also compete with one another, which generally prepares them for a higher learning rate in comparison to other AI systems. Single agent systems like a software program, perform tasks independently without interaction with other agents.
In the recent NVIDIA GTC keynote conference, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang proposed a future where socioeconomic outcomes are not driven by humans, but instead are entirely based in advanced, autonomous AI utilizing MAS that can manage a project from start to finish without any human input.
“How do we build software in the future? It is unlikely that you’ll write it from scratch or write a whole bunch of Python code or anything like that…It is very likely that you assemble a team of AIs.” Huang suggested.

New Study Reveals Brain’s Fractal-Like Structure Near Phase Transition, a Finding That May Be Universal Across Species
When a magnet is heated up, it reaches a critical point where it loses magnetization. Called "criticality," this point of high complexity is reached when a physical object is transitioning smoothly from one phase into the next.
Now, a new Northwestern University study has discovered that the brain's structural features reside in the vicinity of a similar critical point—either at or close to a structural phase transition. Surprisingly, these results are consistent across brains of humans, mice and fruit flies, which suggests the finding might be universal.
Although the researchers don't know between which phases the brain's structure is transitioning, they say this new information could enable new designs for computational models of the brain's complexity and emergent phenomena.
The research was published today in Communications Physics.
..."The structure of the brain at the cellular level appears to be near a phase transition," said Northwestern's Helen Ansell, the paper's first author. "An everyday example of this is when ice melts into water. It's still water molecules, but they are undergoing a transition from solid to liquid. We certainly are not saying that the brain is near melting. In fact, we don't have a way of knowing what two phases the brain could be transitioning between. Because if it were on either side of the critical point, it wouldn't be a brain."
...For the new study, Kovács and Ansell analyzed publicly available data of 3D brain reconstructions from humans, fruit flies and mice. By examining the brain at nanoscale resolution, the researchers found the samples showcased hallmarks of physical properties associated with criticality.
One such property is the well-known, fractal-like structure of neurons. This nontrivial fractal-dimension is an example of a set of observables, called "critical exponents," that emerge when a system is close to a phase transition.
Brain cells are arranged in a fractal-like statistical pattern at different scales. When zoomed in, the fractal shapes are "self-similar," meaning that smaller parts of the sample resemble the whole sample. The sizes of various neuron segments observed are also diverse, which provides another clue. According to Kovács, self-similarity, long-range correlations and broad size distributions are all signatures of a critical state, where features are neither too organized nor too random.

IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said that whoever says that Israel could destroy Hamas is misleading the public.
IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari admitted on Wednesday that it would be impossible to eliminate Hamas.
"Hamas is an idea," he explained in an interview with Channel 13, "Whoever thinks that it's possible to make it disappear is mistaken. It's the Muslim Brotherhood."
When asked if the Palestinian Authority could replace Hamas in the Gaza Strip, he answered that "the political echelon has to decide. Saying that it's possible to destroy Hamas and to make it disappear is to throw dust into the public's eyes."
Hagari committed that the security forces would eliminate Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, "He will make a mistake and it will happen."
The Prime Minister's Office issued a response to Hagari's statement: "The Security Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has defined the destruction of Hamas' military and governing capabilities as one of the goals of the war. The IDF, of course, is committed to this."
The IDF Spokesperson issued a clarification following the publication of the interview: "The IDF is committed to achieving the war's objectives as laid out by the Cabinet, it has been working day and night throughout the war and will continue to do so."
It added: "The commanders of the IDF and its servicemen and women are fighting with determination and persistence to destroy the military capabilities and the governmental and organizational infrastructure of Hamas in Gaza, a clear military objective"
Regarding Hagari's statements, the IDF emphasized that "the IDF Spokesman discussed the destruction of Hamas as an ideology and an idea, and he said that clearly. Any claim otherwise is taking his words out of context."

US Tells Lebanon It Will Support Israeli Attack on Hezbollah
Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has said the militant group is ready for full-blown conflict with Tel Aviv, but would prefer to avoid a war.
Deputy assistant to the US president Amos Hochstein has signaled that Washington would get behind an Israeli incursion into Lebanon, reportedly telling Beirut’s PM that Tel Aviv intends to shift focus to Hezbollah after fighting in Gaza winds down.
As reported by the Middle East Eye, citing an unnamed senior Arab official, this message was conveyed during talks with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati and parliament speaker Nabih Berri on Tuesday. Hochstein bluntly warned that the US plans to support an Israeli attack should the two sides fail to deescalate tensions.
The US envoy added that Tel Aviv expects to significantly scale back its military operations in Gaza in around five weeks, saying the break could allow a new round of talks with Hezbollah even if no ceasefire deal is reached with Hamas.
However, Hochstein also stated that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) would shift “full focus” to Israel’s northern border following the Gaza pause, with the goal of pushing the Hezbollah away from Israeli soil. Such an escalation would almost certainly undermine future peace talks.
Israel and Hezbollah have traded tit-for-tat strikes around the border region on a near-daily basis since the war with Hamas broke out last October, with IDF raids pushing deeper into Lebanese territory in recent weeks. Tens of thousands of people have been displaced on both sides of the border due to the ongoing fighting.
While Hochstein traveled to Lebanon in a bid to quell the hostilities with Israel, Tel Aviv has all but confirmed that it intends to go ahead with an attack regardless. On Tuesday, the IDF announced that it had approved “operational plans” for a larger offensive in Lebanon, but shared few other details.
During a speech on Wednesday, Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah issued a stark warning against an Israeli offensive, saying the move would trigger a war “without rules or ceilings.”
