The Prime Minister plans to make future decisions about the war in Gaza with a small consultation group
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dissolved the Israeli war cabinet after two of its six members left. The Israeli leader will form a small consultation body of the remaining four members to make decisions about the war in Gaza.
On Monday, Netanyahu disbanded the war cabinet after Benny Gantz and Gadi Eisenkot resigned from the body. The war cabinet was set up as a unity coalition in response to the October 7 attack to advise the Israeli leader on decisions about the war in Gaza.
However, Gantz and Netanyahu disagreed on potentially negotiating with Hamas to get the remaining Israeli hostages held in Gaza released. After Netanyahu effectively killed a ceasefire agreement that would see the release of the Israelis, Gantz and Eisenkot left the war cabinet.
Other Israeli ministers initially sought to fill those seats. To prevent this, Netanyahu dissolved the body and designated a small forum of the remaining war cabinet members to make decisions about the war in Gaza. The new group includes Netanyahu himself, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, Shas leader Aryeh Deri, and National Security Advisor head Tzachi Hanegbi.
Dermer and Deri are reported to be confidants of Netanyahu.
A source speaking with Haaretz said Netanyahu wanted to consolidate power and prevent far-right ministers from filling the seats. “In practice, there is no substantial change in the decision-making process, but Netanyahu’s announcement to dissolve the war cabinet allows [National Security Minister] Itamar Ben-Gvir to step back and not insist on being part of the limited decision-making forum,” the source said.
While Netanyahu may want to exclude Ben-Gvir from decision-making, the two agree on many issues about the war. After the Israeli military announced it would pause fighting along one road in Gaza to allow aid trucks to enter the Strip, both Netanyahu and Ben-Gvir rebuked the IDF for the policy.

Former Israeli MK Moshe Feiglin quoted Adolf Hitler while commenting on the war in Gaza saying: "We can't live in this land if one Islamo-Nazi remains in Gaza," while speaking to Channel 12 news.
Feiglin continued, saying that Jews "are not guests in our own land, it is entirely ours," adding that he wants to "turn Gaza Hebrew."
Feiglin's Zehut party platform in 2019 claimed that once Israelis "adopt their true identity and stop seeing themselves as an occupying force in their own country, the rest of the world will leave the [Israeli-Palestinian] conflict behind and accept our legal sovereignty."
The document further stated the party would "cancel" the Oslo Accords with the Palestinians and offer three options to the "non-Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria," the first would be to leave. Israel, the platform stated, would "enable interested residents to sell their property, and will help them immigrate to the destination of their choice."
At a pre-election meeting that year, Feiglin said: "Don't talk to me about international law, because there is not such a thing. You know, the minute you use the word 'Palestinian,' you stop saying the truth. Because there is no Palestinian nation, and they know it…once you said that this is Palestine, and once you said there are Palestinian people in this Palestine – once you said that, you created something that does not appear in reality. And now there is no solution."
Feiglin has been described as "the Jewish version of the Evangelicals who are dreaming of Armageddon and the jihadists who seek to take revenge against the infidels. The man seriously fantasizes…about a comprehensive holy war to conquer the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and in particular the Temple Mount – not in the name of nationalism, but in the name of God."

Likud MK Nissim Vaturi suggests that anti-government protesters are a branch of the Hamas terrorist group.
Speaking to the Kol Brama radio station, Vaturi says that “there are a few branches of Hamas — the fighting branch of wicked terrorists who murder children, and the branch of the protests.”
Police clashed last night with protesters demanding early elections who marched toward the prime minister’s home in Jerusalem and broke through barricades.

Elon Musk’s Neuralink Forced a Pregnant Employee To Work With Herpes-Infected Monkeys That Scratched Her, Lawsuit Says
A former employee at Elon Musk’s brain chip company Neuralink alleged that a monkey infected with the Herpes B virus scratched her and that she was fired after informing her superiors that she was pregnant, according to a lawsuit.
Lindsay Short, who started working at Neuralink as an animal care specialist in August 2022, accused her former company of failing to provide adequate protective gear while she was exposed to the animals — some of which were carrying a virus that could cause severe brain damage and even death in humans.
The lawsuit — filed Friday in California state court and obtained by The Post — accused Neuralink of creating a hostile work environment that included setting unrealistic deadlines and shaming employees.
Short alleged that in September 2022, a monkey reached through the bars of its cage and scratched her through her glove and “broke the skin” — which ended up “contaminating” her and “exposing her to Herpes B in the process.”
In another incident that allegedly took place in March of last year, Short claimed she was scratched across the face by a monkey that was carrying the Herpes B virus.
