Israeli Army Fires on UN Convoy in Rafah, Kills Foreign Aid Worker

Israeli forces have killed over 200 aid workers since the start of the war while enforcing a punishing blockade

The Israeli military shot and killed a foreign NGO worker and wounded another on 13 May in the southern Gaza city of Rafah, local authorities reported.

The two aid workers were in a UN vehicle clearly displaying the UN flag and logo when they came under Israeli fire.

The video of the targeted vehicle showed multiple bullet holes had pierced the windows.

“We strongly condemn the ongoing atrocities perpetrated by the Israeli occupation against both the Palestinian population and foreign aid workers in Gaza,” a statement released by the government in Gaza said.

“We urge all nations to denounce these reprehensible acts.”

On 1 April, Israeli drones opened fire and killed seven western aid workers delivering food aid in Gaza. Three consecutive missiles destroyed their cars.

The Israeli military had authorized the aid workers from the US-based charity World Central Kitchen to help transfer aid supplies from the coast to a warehouse.

Celebrity chef José Andrés, the organization's founder, accused Israel of deliberately targeting the aid workers.

This was another deliberate Israeli assassination of an aid worker in Gaza. And their boss is once again resorting to the passive voice.

Israeli Tanks Plunge Deeper Into Rafah As 500,000 Palestinians Flee

Israeli tanks have been seen plunging deeper into the southern Gaza city of Rafah amid reports that some 500,000 people have fled amid the escalating ground offensive.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have initially focused their operation on the eastern section of the city, having seized a key roadway that essentially cuts Rafah in half. "The tanks advanced this morning west of Salahuddin Road into the Brzail and Jneina neighborhoods. They are in the streets inside the built-up area and there are clashes," one resident told Reuters via a messaging app. Regional media also reports that "Video on social media showed one tank on George Street in Al-Jneina neighborhood."

The Guardian also writes Tuesday (May 14) that "Officials estimate that as many as 500,000 people have fled Rafah since being told to evacuate by the Israel Defense Forces before their first attacks around and in the city a week ago."

A Monday night CNN report indicated that the Biden administration believes that Israel has now amassed enough ground forces on the edge of Rafah to conduct a full-scale invasion of the city in the next days.

When I originally saw this genocidal propaganda headline and began to aggregate it to my newswire, I hadn’t even noticed Alan Dershowitz was the co-author until Alan Macleod made a tweet pointing it out: “Just How Many of Jeffrey Epstein’s Closest Associates are Entirely Innocent?

Alan Dershowitz is commonly known as Epstein’s lawyer, Dershowitz is the lawyer that represented Epstein in his infamous “sweet heart” plea deal, which as I describe in my article from January on human trafficking, was given by prosecutor Alexander Acosta because “I Was Told Epstein ‘Belonged to Intelligence’ and to Leave it Alone”. Alexander Acosta would go on to serve as Donald Trump’s Secretary of Labor.

I will return to Dershowitz in a second, but let me first address the article itself.

From my perspective, it is self evident that the desire by zionists to deprive Palestinian civilians of the presumption of innocence is motivated by genocidal ambitions....

Zionists propagandists want to dehumanize the civilian population and garner consent for atrocities committed on them. This recent Dershowitz / NYP op-ed echoed Mark R. Levine’s article published by Town Hall in December: "There Are No 'Innocent Palestinians'"

...This notion that Palestinian civilians aren’t innocent is a dehumanization strategy meant to garner consent and complicity for bombing said civilians, denying them humanitarian aid, etc.

If Hamas bombs Israeli civilians, its terrorist attack.
If the IDF bombs Palestinian Civilians, it is because they aren’t innocent and deserve it.

This type of comment is truly horrifying to me. I know our human brains are capable of justifying all kinds of things to ourselves but this is scary.

Blinken Justifies Zelensky’s Decision to Cancel Ukrainian Elections

Secretary of State Antony Blinken made an unannounced visit to Ukraine on Tuesday (May 14) and delivered a speech where he justified President Volodymyr Zelensky’s decision to postpone elections.

Presidential elections were due to be held in March, but they weren’t, and Zelensky will remain in office after his term ends on May 20. Ukrainian parliamentary elections were scheduled to be held last year in October, but they were also canceled.

Zelensky and other Ukrainian officials have justified the decision by pointing to Ukraine’s constitution, which prohibits elections during martial law. Martial law was first declared when Russia invaded and has been extended since. However, at one point, Zelensky made it clear that he could hold a vote if he wanted to.

Last year, Zelensky said that he could hold elections if the US and other Western countries paid for them and if Ukrainian legislators agreed to amend the constitution. He later ruled out the idea and there’s been no pressure from Ukraine’s Western backers to hold a vote despite the claims that the proxy war is a fight for democracy.

In a speech at the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Blinken said the US and Europe had been helping Ukraine build “democratic pillars,” including “free and fair elections,” but said a vote can only happen when the “conditions” are right.

Biden Moves Forward Over $1 Billion in Weapons for Israel as Tanks Push Deeper Into Rafah

The weapons package includes tank ammunition, tactical vehicles, and mortar rounds

The Biden administration has notified Congress that it intends to move forward with a weapons package for Israel worth over $1 billion as Israeli tanks are pushing further into the southern Gaza city of Rafah.

The arms package, first reported by The Wall Street Journal, includes $700 million in tank ammunition, $500 million in tactical vehicles, and $60 million in mortar rounds.

The arms could take years to deliver, but the deal demonstrates the US’s long-term commitment to arming Israel despite President Biden’s warning that he could stop supplying certain types of weapons if Israel launches a major attack on “population centers” in Rafah. It also shows Israel that any tank munitions it uses in Rafah will be replenished. Reuters reported on Tuesday that Israeli tanks had entered residential districts in eastern Rafah.

While the US says it put a hold on one shipment of 2,000-pound bombs, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said Monday that the US was still committed to Israel and would make sure it received all of the $17 billion in new military aid that was recently approved by Congres. “We are continuing to send military assistance, and we will ensure that Israel receives the full amount provided in the supplemental. We have paused a shipment of 2,000-pound bombs because we do not believe they should be dropped in densely populated cities. We are talking to the Israeli government about this,” he said.

Initial reports about the delayed bomb shipment said a pause was also put on a shipment of 500-pound bombs, but US officials are now only mentioning the 2,000-pound bombs. When asked to clarify if there was a hold on both, the State Department pointed Antiwar.com to the above statement from Sullivan.

A Political Situation Is Still Possible Without These Propped up Puppets Like “Trump” or “Biden”.

The techno-feudal bankers have set up a nice system for themselves that distracts the American people and pits them against each other over very specific issues while they can continue to exploit us as we are unaware of their unified power. What is needed is a political party that actually unifies the citizenry in a common mission of taking on this common enemy. Only then can we go back to debating these specific issues like adults again.

We can see that it is natural for the people to want a savior- let us be honest with ourselves. We are all made differently: some born with greater propensity for sifting through the lies we are fed, some simply are not though they know that there is something wrong. To be one of the sheep and be misled to misery is truly no fault of the sheep, however, to be a shepherd and mislead your flock is a heinous crime. We are lacking in honest shepherds because they have been tricked into believing the task is too great for anyone to take on.

Remember, these oligarchs who manipulate our lives and rape our country are only human beings at the end of the day. Their power can be challenged. And, it must be, before there is nowhere left to run and "exit and build" because they will be sure to make it harder and harder for you to do this as time passes on. Victory is POSSIBLE.

Sweden is Open to Hosting NATO Nuclear Weapons

The Swedish prime minister said his country would be willing to host nuclear weapons during a war. The North Atlantic Alliance has a nuclear sharing program that has US nuclear weapons deployed in five countries. The Polish leader recently said he hopes Warsaw can one day join the program.

Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said on Swedish public radio that Stockholm would be willing to host nuclear weapons during wartime.

“In a war situation it’s a completely different matter. It would depend entirely on what would happen,” he explained “In the absolute worst-case scenario, the democratic countries in our part of the world must ultimately be able to defend themselves against countries that could threaten us with nuclear weapons.”

Kristersson’s remarks came as Sweden hosted the leaders of Germany, Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Iceland to discuss deepening military ties. ”For decades, we have lived very peacefully and without very big threats to Europe. Personally, I think these times are over,” Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said during the summit. “With all that we see from the Russian side, we are at the beginning of a new era. It would be wrong if we, as a government, said that you don’t have to deal with this in your everyday life.”

Sweden is the newest member of NATO. When Stockholm first requested NATO membership, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Russia would not object to the move unless more weapons were deployed to Swedish territory.

Fico was shot in front of a cultural community centre in the town of Handlova, where a government meeting had been held, reports say.

Several shots were heard, according to journalists on the scene.

The Slovak leader has been taken to hospital and his alleged assailant detained by police.
