What would lead someone to say something so hateful and depraved? What disgusting conspiratorial anti-semitic online rabbit holes must this freak have slithered down in his path toward radicalization to say something so profoundly evil? One can only guess.

“We should not incinerate children and blow their guts out of their bodies with bombs,” the world’s worst person continued. “Zero children should die by incineration, and their guts belong on the inside of their bodies.”

I’m just as shocked and dismayed as you are. I thought we were beyond this. I thought we as a civilization had left this kind of genocidal rhetoric behind us with the end of Nazi Germany. But, apparently, Adolf Hitler still lives on.

This fiendish enemy of all things good and righteous went on to say that all Palestinians are human beings just like everyone else, and they should accordingly be given human rights instead of exterminated like insects with some of the most sophisticated weaponry ever devised.

“I just don’t think someone having a certain ethnicity makes it acceptable to butcher them in massive numbers with modern war machinery and drive them off the land they wish to live on,” said the ghoul, adding, “I kind of think we ought to treat others how we ourselves would wish to be treated.”

Now, I’m as liberal as the next person and I absolutely support free speech, but this kind of repugnant blood libel is exactly why we need to be having some serious conversations about how far the right to free speech ought to go. We can’t have deranged fascists running around our society fomenting genocidal violence by spouting extremist rhetoric like “Don’t drop bombs on babies” and “It’s wrong to intentionally assassinate journalists.”

It makes me feel unsafe when people say such things, because I do not agree with the things they are saying. And, as we all know, the universe revolves around me and how my feelings feel. I therefore fear we have reached an unfortunate juncture in our society where we’ve no choice but to censor the internet, prohibit pro-Palestine demonstrations, ban TikTok, and make it illegal to be a Zoomer. The only alternative is to allow horrifying radicalization like what we just witnessed here to continue.

Ukraine Wants 10 More Years of U.S. Funding

The latest US aid package for Kiev, which was only approved by Congress after more than six months of partisan feuding, might be small potatoes compared to what Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has in mind for his biggest benefactor.

The Kiev government is negotiating with President Joe Biden’s administration on a long-term agreement that would put Washington on the hook to provide Ukraine with military, economic and political support for the next decade, Zelensky said on Sunday (April 28) in his daily video address. Such commitments are needed to ensure Ukraine with the “efficiency in assistance” it needs to stem the recent battlefield advances by Russian forces and gain the upper hand, he insisted.

“We are working to commit to paper concrete levels of support for this year and for the next ten years,” Zelensky said. “It will include military, financial, and political support, as well as what concerns joint production of weapons.”

Kiev has already signed bilateral security agreements with several NATO members, including the UK, Germany and France. Zelensky said he wants the long-term deal under negotiation with Washington to be the strongest such pact for Ukraine.

Ukraine Sidelines Abrams Tanks After Russian Drone Attacks – AP

The Ukrainian military has opted to withdraw its US-supplied M1 Abrams main battle tanks from the front lines due to the threat posed by Russian drones, American officials told the Associated Press. Kiev has reportedly lost several of the tanks since their long-delayed deployment in February.

The decision came as Moscow increasingly relies on UAVs for ‘round-the-clock surveillance and air strikes, making the Abrams “too difficult… to operate without detection or coming under attack,” the AP reported on Thursday (April 25). The tanks have been removed from the fight for an unspecified period as Kiev and Washington work to “reset tactics,” Joint Chiefs of Staff Vice Chairman Adm. Christopher Grady told the outlet.

“When you think about the way the fight has evolved, massed armor in an environment where unmanned aerial systems are ubiquitous can be at risk,” Grady added. “Now, there is a way to do it. We’ll work with our Ukrainian partners, and other partners on the ground, to help them think through how they might use that, in that kind of changed environment now, where everything is seen immediately.”

Though the United States agreed to provide 31 Abrams in January 2023, the armor took months to arrive, and even longer before they first saw combat in February. Ukraine has so far lost at least five of the tanks, according to the AP, with Russian forces claiming several kills since the Abrams was first spotted on the battlefield. At least one of the tanks was reportedly crippled with a cheaply made kamikaze drone, part of Moscow’s growing fleet of surveillance and armed UAVs.

Qatar has had a lot of fingers in a lot of pies. While we knew about the EU's 'Qatargate,' investments with the Kushner family, and of course Sen. Bob Menendez advancing Qatar's interests, Politico reports that the Biden family's ties to Qatar "would constitute some of the closest known financial links between a relative of President Joe Biden and a foreign government," if courtroom testimony about Jim Biden's foreign fundraising efforts is substantiated.

In June 2017, Qatar's neighbors—led by Saudi Arabia, banded together and cut diplomatic ties with the country, citing its alleged support for terrorism. As a result, the country was thrown into a sustained crisis. To dig themselves out, Qatari rulers began showering well-connected Westerners with gifts and financial benefits, according to Politico, "sometimes in the form of investment funding."

According to public records obtained by the outlet, Jim Biden leveraged ties to his older brother and "sought workarounds to restrictions on international money movements," including one discussion about trying to move money across a Middle Eastern border in the form of gold bars that may or may not have happened.

"My family could provide a wealth of introductions and business opportunities at the highest levels that I believe would be worthy of the interest of His Excellency," Jim Biden and Rustom wrote in a draft letter to an official at the Qatari sovereign wealth fund, the Qatar Investment Authority. "On behalf of the Biden family, I welcome your interest here," the draft continues.

UAE, Ukraine Announce ‘Historic‘ Trade Deal

Emirati officials say the UAE is looking to Ukraine as its gateway into Europe

The UAE and Ukraine have concluded talks for a bilateral trade deal, according to a statement released on 29 April, ahead of the official signing.

The two countries finalized a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko described it via social media as “the first agreement of its kind in the Middle East, covering not just [the UAE] but the entire region. The deal cuts trade barriers and boosts investment, leading to more jobs and economic growth.”

The CEPA seeks to remove or reduce taxes on various goods and products and ease the barrier to market access for exporters from Kiev and Abu Dhabi.

CEPA will also “support Ukraine’s recovery and the rebuilding of key industries and infrastructure, while also helping to strengthen supply chains to the [Middle East and North Africa] region for major exports such as grains, machinery, and metals.”

Non-oil trade between Abu Dhabi and Kiev reached $386 million in 2023, down from over $800 million before the Russia–Ukraine war started in 2022.

UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed al-Zeyoudi said in an interview that the drop is not unique to the UAE but reflects similar trends across the region and the world over.

“We want to be ready for the next era of Ukraine,” Zeyoudi said. “It [the CEPA] is an important step for us to have another gateway to Europe through Ukraine.”

In a social media post, Zeyoudi said that “this is a major deal for both nations,” adding, “while Ukraine offers the UAE a bridge into Europe, the UAE provides a global gateway for Ukraine’s exports.”
