UN Report Demolishes Israeli Propaganda Campaign Against UNRWA

Israel has waged a multi-year campaign against the UN aid group for Palestinian refugees in hopes of eradicating the right of return

Israel has failed to provide any evidence of its claims that employees of the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) are members of “terrorist organizations,” according to an independent review led by former French foreign minister Catherine Colonna.

In January, Israel claimed without evidence that some UNRWA staff – until then the primary conduit of humanitarian aid into the besieged and bombed Gaza Strip – were members of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) and had participated in the Hamas-led attack on Israeli military bases and settlements on 7 October, known as Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.

The Israeli allegations promptly caused the US and other western nations to cut funding to UNRWA. This came amid reports from rights groups that Israel was using starvation as a weapon against the 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza.

The Guardian reported on 22 April that the “Colonna report,” which was commissioned by the UN in the wake of Israeli allegations, found that UNRWA had regularly supplied Israel with lists of its employees for vetting, and that “the Israeli government has not informed UNRWA of any concerns relating to any UNRWA staff based on these staff lists since 2011.”

The Guardian added that most donor nations have resumed their funding in recent weeks. However, UK ministers had said they would wait for the Colonna report to decide whether to resume funding. The US Congress has since banned any future financial support of UNRWA.

The Colonna review was drafted with the help of three Nordic research institutes and will be published later on Monday.

It confirms that Israel has yet to provide any evidence of its claims.

It notes that in March, “Israel made public claims that a significant number of Unrwa employees are members of terrorist organizations.”

“However, Israel has yet to provide supporting evidence of this,” the report says.

The Colonna review makes clear that UNRWA is “indispensable” to Palestinians across the region.

I Imagine being a Republican politician in America is a pretty sweet gig.

You get to promise shit to your constituents, get to DC and then basically do whatever the hell you want. You get to completely backstab the people who sent you there, do nothing but line your own pockets, vote against all things American, suck Israeli dick, funnel money through Ukraine and get rich.

When it comes election time again and your constituents are pissed off, all you have to do is go to them, say a few anti-woke things, talk about God, country, how woke and backward Democrats are and promise some bullshit about the border you never intend to fix.

The people are retarded as all hell and instantly forget about all the fuckery and back-stabbing you did and say, "Well it's better to vote for a Republican than a Democrat, and if I don't vote at all it means a Democrat wins!"

The crayon eaters vote for you again and it's back to DC to fuck the American people some more. Yeah I tell ya, pretty sweet gig indeed, damn if I had no soul I'd think of running for Republican office myself.

Polish President Says Country Is Willing to Host NATO Nukes

The leader of Poland said Warsaw was willing to host nuclear weapons from a NATO country in response to Russia moving strategic arms into Belarus. The Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk called the proposal “absolutely massive.”

In an interview with Fakt, Polish President Andrzej Duda expressed his willingness to host NATO nuclear weapons. “I must admit that when asked about [hosting nuclear weapons], I declared our readiness. Recently, [Russia] has been relocating its nuclear weapons to Belarus,” he said. “If our allies decide to deploy nuclear weapons as part of nuclear-sharing also on our territory to strengthen the security of NATO’s eastern flank, we are ready for it.”

Duda went on to say that he expects some but not universal access to nuclear weapons if they are moved onto Polish territory. “We don’t have such a tradition. There has never been, unless my memory serves me wrong, such complete universal access to weapons in Poland.” He continued, “We can discuss loosening some of the shackles of requirements in this area, but I would be cautious about completely universal access to weapons.”

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk appeared alarmed by the leader’s remarks. “I would also like any potential initiatives to be, first of all, very well prepared by the people responsible for them and (I would like) all of us to be absolutely positive that we want it,” the prime minister explained. “This idea is absolutely massive, I would say, and very serious (and) I would need to know all the circumstances that have led the president to make this declaration.”

The Polish foreign affairs minister was also critical of Duda’s proposal, saying, “This would be a very serious decision, all the circumstances of which should be discussed, primarily in the Council of Ministers. So far, there has been no such discussion at the Council of Ministers.”

Previously proposed by lower-level Polish officials, moving NATO nuclear weapons further eastward would likely be seen as highly provocative by Russia, especially as Poland hosts the AEGIS Ashore missile defense system. While those launchers are ostensibly intended for air defense, the AEGIS is also capable of firing nuclear-tipped Tomahawk missiles for offensive operations. The Kremlin said the presence of the AEGIS system in Poland, and an additional battery in Romania, presents a strategic threat to Moscow.
