Multiple protesters stuck and injured by vehicle at anti-government demonstration in Tel Aviv, Israel, police say
A car ran over anti-Netanyahu protesters in Tel Aviv, injuring 5 people, including one in serious condition now.
Deep Barot tweeted: Pro Netanyahu Israeli woman runs over a group of Israeli protesters with her car who were demanding the immediate resignation of Netanyahu, release of the hostages, and ceasefire. Seems like the internal divide and frustration in Israel is growing by the day the longer the land grab of Gaza goes on.

Anti-Government Protesters Injured in Hit and Run in Tel Aviv
The driver was later arrested. Protesters and opposition MKs accused the government of inciting the hit-and-run incident.
At least three anti-government protesters were injured after being run over by a driver during demonstrations in Tel Aviv on Saturday night, according to police.
One of the protesters was in moderate condition, while at least two others were lightly injured...
Footage from the scene showed the driver and passengers yelling at police and protesters before speeding forward and driving over several people. The driver was later arrested.
Protesters blame government for hit and run
The Kaplan Force protest movement expressed outrage at the hit-and-run incident on Saturday night, noting that just a few hours before the incident, Transportation Minister Miri Regev accused the protesters of wanting to murder Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
"The writing is already on the fence; there are people there with torches to assassinate and kill the Prime Minister," said Regev in comments to N12's Meet the Press program on Saturday in reference to the protests that have been taking place in recent weeks in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
"Not only the blood of 1,400 murdered people are on the hands of this government, but also the blood of the wounded now in Tel Aviv," said the Kaplan Force after the incident in Tel Aviv. "The government of the destruction of the house must go, and the people of Israel are determined to win the fight for the future of the country."
Opposition leader Yair Lapid accused the government of inciting the hit-and-run incident on Saturday night. "We will not be deterred and will not be made to stop protesting until the hostages are returned and this terrible government falls," said Lapid.
Minister-without-portfolio Benny Gantz condemned the hit-and-run incident, saying, "We all need to make clear statements condemning all violence."
"Comparing the protesters to our enemies and accusing them of wanting to assassinate the prime minister shows a lack of national responsibility," Gantz said....
...The organizers of an anti-government protest in Tel Aviv reported that over 100,000 protesters arrived...
Furthermore, there were demonstrations in over 50 additional areas across the country.

Israel Killed 100+ Civilians in ‘Apparent War Crime’ – HRW
A deadly Israeli airstrike on a six-story apartment block early in the Gaza war likely constituted a war crime, rights group Human Rights Watch (HRW) has reported, citing interviews with witnesses, satellite imagery and photo and video evidence. More than 100 noncombatants were killed in the bombing – over half of them children.
The October 31 strike targeted a residential complex known as the ‘Engineers’ Building’ in central Gaza, situated along the Salah al-Din highway bisecting the territory. According to witnesses of the attack, the Israeli air raid came “without warning,” with at least four munitions hitting the building in a matter of seconds, leaving it “completely demolished.”
“Human Rights Watch found no evidence of a military target in the vicinity of the building at the time of the Israeli attack, making the strike unlawfully indiscriminate under the laws of war. Israeli authorities have provided no justification for the attack,” the humanitarian org said in a detailed press release published on Thursday.
At least 106 civilians were killed in the strike, including 54 children. Many of those residing in the building had fled violence elsewhere in Gaza amid a months-long onslaught by Israeli forces. HRW later confirmed the identities of 106 victims, though local emergency crews suggested the death toll may have exceeded 140.

Leftist Cenk Uygur Makes Shocking Statement: “I’m Now Considering RFK Jr.”
He says Biden has “been corrupt his whole life.”
“You’re never going to get anything but corruption from Joe Biden.”
Uygur issued another staggering statement:
“The Democratic party ... they love to rig elections. Yes, I use the word rigged. Okay, so you can go cry about it. If you’re mainstream media, how about you do your job and talk about how they canceled the election in Florida in the primary and just declared Biden the winner. So, if you’re going to make the argument that you’re a champion of democracy, you should probably try it in your own primaries.”

Body of Israeli Hostage Recovered From Gaza After ‘Months of Torture’
Elad Katzir was taken from his kibbutz on 7 October and was twice seen in hostage videos. After his body was found, his sister said he had been abandoned and called the Israeli government "cowardly".
The body of an Israeli hostage has been recovered in Gaza, Israel says.
Elad Katzir's body was found by special forces in the southern city of Khan Younis, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) said.
He was taken hostage from his home in Nir Oz, a kibbutz in southern Israel, along with his mother on 7 October.
His father was killed on 7 October, the kibbutz said, while his mother Hanna was released in November under a ceasefire, along with 104 other hostages.
Mr Katzir's sister Carmit Palty Katzir said her brother had been abandoned and called the Israeli government "cowardly".
"He could have been saved if a deal would have happened on time," Ms Katzir wrote on Facebook.
"Our leadership is cowardly and devoid of political considerations and therefore it didn't happen.
"He was abandoned on 7 October and was abandoned for 183 days in captivity, during which he could [have been] returned alive."
She added: "Prime minister, the war cabinet and members of the coalition: Look at yourself in the mirror and say if your hands didn't spill that blood. You have 133 more hostages to redeem, worlds to save."
... The recovery of Mr Katzir's body comes as thousands of protesters gathered in Tel Aviv to mark six months since Hamas launched its 7 October attack.
Demonstrators called for immediate elections in Israel and for all hostages to be released.
Some held up signs urging the Israeli government to do more to bring them home, with others carried placards reading "Half a year of hell".

“INTELLIGENT LIQUID” CREATED BY HARVARD SCIENTISTS REPRESENTS STRANGE “NEW CLASS OF FLUID”
Harvard researchers say they have developed a programmable metafluid they are calling an ‘intelligent liquid’ that contains tunable springiness, adjustable optical properties, variable viscosity, and even the seemingly magical ability to shift between a Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluid.
The team’s exact formula is still a secret as they explore potential commercial applications. However, the researchers believe their intelligent liquid could be used in anything from programmable robots to intelligent shock absorbers or even optical devices that can shift between transparent and opaque states.
“We are just scratching the surface of what is possible with this new class of fluid,” said Adel Djellouli, a Research Associate in Materials Science and Mechanical Engineering at Harvard’s John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) and the first author of the paper. “With this one platform, you could do so many different things in so many different fields.”
REMARKABLE ATTRIBUTES OF AN INTELLIGENT LIQUID PROGRAMMABLE METAFLUID
According to the Harvard researchers, the key development behind their first-of-its-kind programmable metafluid is the elastomer spheres ranging from 50 to 500 microns that populate throughout the intelligent liquid. These customized spheres “buckle” under pressure, which radically changes the properties of the overall fluid. This includes changes to the fluid’s optical properties, its viscosity, and even its compressibility.
The researchers note that new classes of solid metamaterials can contain some of these same unique properties. However, incorporating these programmable characteristics into a fluid that can change to accommodate the shape of its container opens up a whole world of possibilities.
“Unlike solid metamaterials, metafluids have the unique ability to flow and adapt to the shape of their container,” said Katia Bertoldi, William and Ami Kuan Danoff Professor of Applied Mechanics at SEAS and senior author of the paper. “Our goal was to create a metafluid that not only possesses these remarkable attributes but also provides a platform for programmable viscosity, compressibility, and optical properties.”
CREATING THE ULTIMATE PROGRAMMABLE METAFLUID
To create their intelligent liquid, the researchers fabricated hundreds of thousands of these deformable elastomer spheres filled with air. Next, the spheres were suspended in a medium of silicon oil. If done correctly, the researchers say that their varying-sized spheres would collapse under pressure, forming a “lens-like half sphere.” Similarly, when the pressure is removed, the spheres should return to their original shape.

Ex-Diddy Producer Says This Scandal ‘Could Be WORSE Than Jeffrey Epstein’
Jesse Watters says, “Every room in Diddy’s mansions were wired with cameras ... And this was used for blackmail material,” citing the lawsuit filed by Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones.
“They’d bring in these people. A lot of these people were also aspiring young artists in the music industry. And then, these parties were sponsored by Motown Records CEO, Universal Records CEO. This goes all the way to the top. And so, you get these people in compromising situations.
“The drinks were laced, their videotapes were hot. And then, at the end of the day, you wake up the next morning, ‘What did I do?’ And then they have compromising material on you. And then they can guide your career. They could kill your career, but they got you.
“And it wasn’t just people in the music business, as you said. There were athletes, there were celebrities, there were politicians, people from the royal family.
“And we were also told by the former bodyguard that Diddy was an FBI informant. So, he was a snitch and was feeding information to the feds. And we don’t know what that means. We haven’t been able to confirm it. But even ‘Lil Rod’ said, ‘It’s not just like Epstein. It could be worse than Jeffrey Epstein.’”

Disinformation “Expert” Tells People To Only Use “Trusted Sources,” Avoid “Doing Your Own Research”
Brianna Lyman, elections correspondent at The Federalist, recently reported on a panel discussion featuring Al Schmidt, Pennsylvania Secretary of the Commonwealth, and Beth Schwanke, Executive Director of the Pitt Disinformation Lab. Schmidt and Schwanke, speaking at a forum organized by Spotlight PA, voiced their stance on “misinformation” and “disinformation” surrounding elections. Strikingly, Schwanke recommended that rather than conducting self-led investigations, Pennsylvanians should place their confidence in so-called “trusted” sources. These include certain institutions and media outlets that have unfortunately been tied in the past to acts of censorship.
“One thing everyone can do to make sure they are seeing accurate information is to use trusted sources. So in elections that means using the Department of State, that means using your county elections office, it means using media organizations that follow, that adhere, to professional journalism standards like … your local NPR affiliate,” Schwanke said. “And it doesn’t mean you know, ‘doing your own research’ and just asking questions and sharing, you know, posts from – I don’t know, in my case, it’s Uncle Joe, right? It means being thoughtful about where your sources are coming from.”
Schwanke’s advice, interestingly, seemed to discourage individual research, questioning, and sharing of ideas. Instead, she advocated the use of sources like the Department of State, county elections offices, and, strikingly, media organizations such as local NPR affiliates, which she implied upheld superior journalistic standards.
Despite what Schwanke says, the importance of being vigilant about our sources of information cannot be overstated.

During the hearing, Representative John Ray Clemmons introduced an amendment to protect Bigfoot (also known as Sasquatch or Yeti) in an attempt to mock the so-called chemtrails bill.
State Rep. Justin Pearson also joined in on the mocking of "conspiracy theorists" who seek to protect the public from spraying.
In the end, Rep. Monty Fritts, author of the bill, laid out the reasons for the bill before it passed with a majority in support.

Gallant: Israel Withdrawing From Southern Gaza to Prepare for Rafah Invasion
Israel is withdrawing troops but keeping the south cut off from the north
The Israeli military announced on Sunday that it was withdrawing troops from parts of southern Gaza, a step Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said was being taken to prepare for an assault on Rafah, the southern city on the Egyptian border that’s packed with 1.5 million Palestinians.
“The withdrawal of the troops from Khan Yunis was carried out after Hamas ceased to function as a military organization in the city, the forces left to prepare for the operation in Rafah,” Gallant said.
Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi, the head of the Israeli military, said the withdrawal does not mean the Israeli slaughter of Palestinians would end anytime soon. “The war in Gaza continues, and we are far from stopping. Senior Hamas officials are still in hiding. We will get to them sooner or later,” he said.
According to The Jerusalem Post, the withdrawal means Palestinians can move freely in southern Gaza and in the city of Khan Younis. But the Israeli military is still keeping northern Gaza cut off from the south.
The White House said the Israeli announcement was likely about rest for the Israeli troops, who have been in southern Gaza for four months. “As we understand it, and through their public announcements, it is really just about rest and refit for these troops that have been on the ground for four months and not necessarily, that we can tell, indicative of some coming new operation for these troops,” said National Security Council spokesman John Kirby.

US Will Not Accept Chinese Imports Decimating New Industries, Yellen Says
U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen warned China on Monday that Washington will not accept new industries being decimated by Chinese imports, as she wrapped up four days of meetings to press her case for Beijing to rein in excess industrial capacity.
Yellen told a press conference that U.S. President Joe Biden would not allow a repeat of the "China shock" of the early 2000s, when a flood of Chinese imports destroyed about 2 million American manufacturing jobs.
She did not, however, threaten new tariffs or other trade actions should Beijing continue its massive state support for electric vehicles (EVs), batteries, solar panels and other green energy goods.
Yellen used her second trip to China in nine months to complain that Beijing's overinvestment has built factory capacity far exceeding domestic demand, while fast-growing exports of these products threaten companies in the U.S. and other countries....
"We've seen this story before," she told reporters. "Over a decade ago, massive PRC (People's Republic of China) government support led to below-cost Chinese steel that flooded the global market and decimated industries across the world and in the United States."
Yellen added: "I've made it clear that President Biden and I will not accept that reality again."
When the global market is flooded with artificially cheap Chinese products, she said, "the viability of American and other foreign firms is put into question."
Yellen said her exchanges with Chinese officials had advanced American interests and that U.S. concerns over excess industrial capacity were shared by Washington's European allies, Japan, Mexico, the Philippines and other emerging markets.
PUSHBACK
China's vice finance minister, Liao Min, told Chinese media that Beijing "has fully responded" to U.S. questions on overcapacity and expressed "grave concern" over restrictions Washington imposes on trade and investment.
Liao said China's "current competitive advantages are rooted in China's large-scale market, complete industrial system and abundant human resources," decrying the "escalation of green protectionist measures by some developed economies."
"China will not sit idly and ignore it," Liao said in remarks published on the ministry's website.
China's parliament, the National People's Congress, said in March the government would take steps to curb industrial overcapacity.
But Beijing says the recent focus by the U.S. and Europe on the risks from China's excess capacity is misguided.
Chinese officials say the criticism understates innovation by companies in China and overstates the importance of state support in driving their growth. They also say tariffs or other trade curbs will deprive global consumers of green energy alternatives key to meeting global climate goals.

Biden Says Israel Is Doing What He Asked, Signaling No Change in US Support
Israel says it's opening an additional border crossing into northern Gaza but only 'temporarily'
President Biden said on Friday that Israel was doing what he asked, signaling he has no plans to alter his policy of full-throated support for the Israeli slaughter of Palestinians in Gaza despite the killing of an American citizen and six other workers for the World Central Kitchen.
A day earlier, Biden told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to announce and implement “a series of specific, concrete, and measurable steps to address civilian harm, humanitarian suffering, and the safety of aid workers” and said US policy would be “determined by our assessment of Israel’s immediate action on these steps.”
After the call, the Israeli government announced it would open the Erez border crossing into northern Gaza to facilitate the flow of aid but said the step would only be “temporary.” The Israeli cabinet also approved sending humanitarian supplies to Gaza through the port of Ashdod and allowing aid trucks from Jordan to transit through Israel.
It’s unclear if the Israeli steps will bring any real relief, as Gaza’s entire population is facing crisis levels of food shortages, and the US State Department has acknowledged famine may already be occurring in some areas of the Strip due to the Israeli siege. But the half-measures appear to have placated Biden.
When asked on Friday before boarding Marine One if he threatened to cut off military aid to Israel, Biden said, “I asked them to do what they’re doing.” He was also asked if he was “abandoning” Israel and replied, “Are you serious?”
Biden has approved over 100 weapons shipments to Israel throughout its genocidal campaign in Gaza despite the massive civilian casualties. The latest known package was approved on April 1, the same day Israel bombed the Iranian consulate in Damascus, killed the seven WCK workers, and left Gaza’s Al Shifa hospital in ruins.

Protests Calling for Gaza Exchange Deal, Early Elections Sweep Israel
Protesters say Prime Minister Netanyahu is not seeking to free the captives held in Gaza and instead wishes to continue the war
Tens of thousands of Israelis took to the streets in protest of the Netanyahu government on the evening of 6 April, calling for early elections and demanding an immediate deal to secure the release of the 133 captives still held by Hamas in Gaza, Haaretz reported.
Protests took place in multiple Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Be'er Sheva, Haifa, and Caesarea, and were joined by members of the captives' families...
Protesters chanted, "Police, police, who exactly are you guarding," and "Ben-Gvir is a terrorist," referring to Itamar Ben Gvir, the National Security Minister who has opposed a deal with Hamas to reach a ceasefire and release the Israeli captives.
Five protesters were run over by a driver who refused to obey police orders when encountering the demonstrators...
In Jerusalem, Sharon Sharabi, whose brother Yossi was taken captive by Hamas but killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza and whose other brother Eli is still captive, said that the agreement between the state and its citizens was "violated on October 7. It doesn't matter if they are religious or secular, right-wing or left-wing, Ashkenazi or Sephardi."
....Former Mossad Chief Danny Yatom said during the demonstration that Netanyahu was seeking to keep the war in Gaza going because "it seems to him that as long as the guns are roaring, it is easier for him to 'dissolve' his criminal trial," and that freeing the captives was not a priority for the prime minister...
In the protest in Haifa, former Shin Bet head Ami Ayalon said that "the military campaign in Gaza has reached its limit."
"Our soldiers are forced to re-occupy places that were occupied a few weeks ago and become police forces for a population full of rage and hatred," he added.
Adina Moshe, who was taken captive by Hamas on 7 October but released following a temporary ceasefire deal in November... directed her comments at Netanyahu, saying: "I want you to know that if they don't come back, their blood is on your hands. You betrayed us... you will remain forever guilty."
... Yael Or, the niece of the captive Dror Or, blamed the government for failing to reach a deal. "Netanyahu continues to torpedo a deal for the release of the hostages as they die in captivity," she said.

Right Time To Do A Hostage Deal, Says Israel's Defence Minister
Israel's Defence Minister Yoav Gallant said Monday it is the right time to do a hostage deal with Hamas, a day after the military pulled out troops from Gaza's main southern city.
With indirect talks between Israel and Hamas on a Gaza truce and a hostage deal going on in Cairo, Gallant told Israeli army recruits that, "I think we are at an appropriate moment" to do a deal with the Islamist militants, six months into the war.
"The relentless pressure on Hamas and the position of strength from which we come into this campaign, allow us flexibility and freedom of action," he added, according to a statement issued by his office.
"There will be difficult decisions and we will be ready to pay the price in order to get the hostages back, and then return to fighting."
