🚨BREAKING: Julian Assange, Justice Department Exploring Guilty Plea to End 14-Year Legal Drama - WSJ
The U.S. Justice Department is considering whether to allow Julian Assange to plead guilty to a reduced charge of mishandling classified information, according to people familiar with the matter, opening up the possibility of a deal that could eventually result in his release from a British jail.
Assange, the divisive WikiLeaks founder, is fighting a drawn-out legal battle with the British government to avoid being extradited to the U.S. to face trial for publishing thousands of confidential U.S. military records and diplomatic cables around 2010. A U.K. court is currently considering whether to allow a last-ditch appeal by the 52-year-old. After U.S. prosecutors charged him in 2019, U.K. law-enforcement officials apprehended him, and he has been in a London prison ever since.

Anonymous insiders claim guilty plea would apply to charge of "mishandling classified information", and 5 years he’s spent locked up in UK prison would count as time served.
Guilty plea would end Washington’s witch hunt against Aussie citizen, who released 100s of 1000s of docs exposing America’s WAR CRIMES.

Austin Doubles Down on Military Aid for Israel and Ukraine
Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin pledged that the US would continue to ship weapons to Ukraine and Israel. Washington has provided Kiev with over $100 billion in aid over the past two years. Additionally, after October 7, the US began providing a significant number of arms to Tel Aviv as Israeli forces indiscriminately used the bombs to destroy Gaza.
During remarks to the press at the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, Secretary Austin explained that Washington had no plans to abandon support for Ukraine and hoped Congress would pass a $61 billion aid package for Kiev soon.
“Ukraine’s survival is in danger, and America’s security is at risk, and they don’t have a day to waste and we don’t have a day to spare, either,” he said. “So I leave here today fully determined to keep US security assistance and ammunition flowing, and that’s a matter of survival and sovereignty for Ukraine and it’s a matter of honor and security for America.”
After Russia invaded Ukraine two years ago, Western leaders pushed Ukrainian President Zelensky to forgo a diplomatic settlement to the conflict. President Biden led the charge, pledging the US would support Ukraine for as long as it takes.
Two years into the war, the White House is struggling to make good on that promise. During the presser, Austin acknowledged that Ukrainians were currently losing territory and needed more ammunition. The White House has used multiple questionable budgetary tactics to stretch the funding appropriated to Ukraine by Congress. However, further funding is meeting a brick wall in the lower chamber.
Even if House Speaker Mike Johnson relents and allows the body to pass the foreign aid bill – that also includes $14 billion in military aid for Israel – Western arms depots are stretched thin. Currently, Russia is able to produce three times the amount of artillery shells as the collective West

It is inappropriate for Mr. Assange’s lawyers to comment while his case is before the UK High Court other than to say we have been given no indication that the Department of Justice intends to resolve the case and the United States is continuing with as much determination as ever to seek his extradition on all 18 charges, exposing him to 175 years in prison.

UN Staff In West Bank Subjected To 'Systematic Harassment' By Israel: Report
Israel has killed at least 168 UN staff members in Gaza since October and has tortured those in detention into falsely claiming the organization has 'ties to Hamas'
UN staff members in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem have been blindfolded and beaten as part of a “systematic campaign of obstruction and harassment by the Israeli military and authorities” since the start of Israel's genocide of Palestinians in Gaza, according to internal UN documents obtained by The Guardian.
The incidents also include the use of UN checkpoints by Israeli troops as “firing positions” during near-daily raids of Palestinian towns and refugee camps in which hundreds have been killed.
In the occupied West Bank, the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine (UNRWA) runs 96 schools and 43 health clinics for 871,000 registered Palestinian refugees.
“UNRWA staff [in the West Bank] have been verbally abused, subject to identity checks and searches, and required to lift their clothing to demonstrate the absence of weapons,” the documents detail, highlighting that “increasingly egregious violations of privileges and immunities of the UN have been recorded, including entries into UNRWA installations by armed personnel as part of [the Israeli army's] operations, as well as damage to UNRWA installations incurred during the course of such operations.”
In one of the most severe incidents recorded by the UN agency, staff in a marked UN vehicle were “forced [to get out] at gunpoint" after an Israeli soldier “forcefully” removed the keys from the ignition. “The staff were then instructed to kneel, were blindfolded, handcuffed with plastic cable ties, and beaten before a senior officer intervened,” the documents detail.
The humanitarian agency has also recorded “135 incidents affecting its clinics, schools or offices, from incursions and misuse to military operations resulting in teargas canisters or bullets landing in them.”

Jared Kushner Under Fire For Calling Gaza Waterfront Property ‘Valuable’
During an interview at Harvard University on 8 March, Jared Kushner praised the “very valuable” potential of Gaza’s “waterfront property” and said that Israel should remove its civilians while it “cleans up the strip.” Kushner said he thinks Israel should move civilians from Gaza to the Negev (Naqab) desert.
On the subject of allowing the return of civilians after they’ve fled, Kushner said, “I am not sure there is much left of Gaza at this point. If you think about even the construct, Gaza was not really a historical precedent. It was the result of a war. You had tribes in different places and then Gaza became a thing. Egypt used to run it and then over time different governments came in.”

Egypt Saw Gas Trade with Israel Soar in 2023
Egypt is experiencing an economic upswing after building an 'isolated security zone'
Israel’s NewMed Energy reported on 19 March that natural gas exports from the Leviathan field to Egypt increased by 28 percent in 2023.
The company reports that the exports jumped from 4.9 billion cubic meters (BCM) in 2022 to 6.3 BCM in 2023.
Israel Katz, former energy minister, approved the increase in exports to Egypt last year. For 2026, he projected an annual production increase of six BCM – about 60 percent over the current volume. “3.5 BCM of which will be directed in favor of Egypt,” the report read.
“The expansion of the total export quota to Egypt was increased by 38.7 BCM over 11 years,” the Israeli Ministry of Energy’s August announcement read. “The export permit was granted under the comprehensive framework approved by government decisions … and in consultation with the Director of the Natural Gas Authority. In addition, an additional increase of 0.5 BCM per year is being considered.”
The ministry noted that, in addition to enabling production expansion, the new exports are expected to derive billions of dollars in bonus revenues for Israel, increase energetic ties with Egypt and other regional players, and strengthen Israel’s geopolitical status....
Egypt–Israel tensions have been on the rise in recent months over Tel Aviv's plan to push Gazans into the Sinai Peninsula to continue with their plan of invading Rafah.
Cairo has called on Washington, which has previously condemned the plan, to send a clear message to its regional ally not to move forward with the Rafah invasion. It says that “it is not enough to state opposition; it is also important to indicate what if that position is circumvented, what if that position is not respected.”
However, following multiple investment deals into Egypt by other regional allies of Israel and a boost in the International Monetary Fund (IMF) loan to be granted to Egypt, the North African nation is constructing an “isolated security zone,” something which local rights groups are calling Cairo's preparation for an influx of Palestinian refugees.

Pfizer Finally Releases Myocarditis Study for Children Who Received COVID-19 Vaccine
“Pfizer and its partner BioNTech have finally released the results of clinical trials exploring whether their COVID-19 vaccine causes subclinical heart inflammation. The companies found that multiple vaccine recipients suffered heart-related symptoms, but said none met the definition of myocarditis, or heart inflammation.
The study was published by the Infectious Diseases and Therapy journal.
The rate of COVID-19 was also higher among the newly vaccinated people in the older group, with eight cases compared to two in the control arm.
In the younger children, the elevated troponins were higher among the vaccinated after each dose. No elevated troponin cases were detected in the unvaccinated cohort.”

Thanks to all who supported Amos & thanks to Rep, Thomas Massie Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Thomas Massie: Congrats! A small win, but a win nonetheless for #AmosMiller .
Why is the government is spending resources prosecuting an Amish farmer who sells to willing buyers when we have so many real problems at the moment?
We should empower small farmers instead of prosecuting them.

California Lawmakers Push Online ID Verification Bill That Would Require Platforms To ID “Users With Large Audiences”
Also those posting spreading large amounts of "AI-generated content."
...never discount California Democrats, and now Alejandro (Alex) Padilla is attempting to charge ahead with “election misinformation” legislation.
Padilla is not just any California Democrat, either – he was the state secretary for six years until 2021, and a member of the State Senate for the LA City Council, before Governor Gavin Newsom shipped him off to the US Senate to replace Kamala Harris.
Despite what was implied (and by and large refuted) regarding Big Tech platforms’ role and influence in 2016, now the accent is on the suspected negative role of AI, presented as fact – and now Padilla and “partners” apparently want that to be written in law.
In particular, “users with large audiences or spreading large amounts of AI-generated content” would have to operate with user IDs, according to the line ID verification bill (SB 1228).
We obtained a copy of the bill for you here.
Padilla and his “legislative partners” from the California Initiative for Technology and Democracy (CITED) announced the bill as a way of “protecting” elections in the state – specifically from technology “misuse and misinformation.”
Although the legislative push is new, the rhetoric is at least eight years old now. Padilla spoke about foreigners hell-bent on using “new and powerful” tech to bring on misinformation – and that, rather than any internal political and ideological movements in the US, is why there are “divisions” in society (i.e. different viewpoints – also known as, democracy).
But to justify this same-old, in 2024, it’s all about them “deepfakes.”
“Bad actors and foreign bots now have the ability to create fake videos and images and spread lies to millions at the touch of a button,” Padilla shared with the press.
And now for what to do about it – according to Padilla: force large online platforms to require users to produce identity verification.

Massie Calls Out FBI Spending Increase in Omnibus Bill 'We Won't Have Time to Fully Read'
Thomas Massie: "FBI spending goes up significantly in the two-part omnibus that we won’t have time to fully read.
This demonstrates that a majority of Congress isn’t serious about holding the FBI accountable.
Including money for a new FBI building is a slap in the face to Americans."

White House Sets 'Goal' to Derail Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline: Official
Pakistan reacted to the comments by a senior US official by stressing that the pipeline's construction is 'an independent and free decision'
A senior US government official revealed Washington has set a “goal” to prevent the construction of the Iran-Pakistan (IP) gas pipeline, which has been delayed by almost a decade in large part due to US economic pressure.
“I fully support the efforts by the US government to prevent this pipeline from happening,” US Assistant Secretary Bureau Of South And Central Asian Affairs, Donald Lu, said during a congressional hearing on 19 March. “We are working toward that goal,” he stressed.
“We are tracking this planned pipeline between Iran and Pakistan … Honestly, I don’t know where the financing for such a project would come from. I don’t think that many international donors would be interested in funding such an endeavor,” the US official added, highlighting that the White House "will uphold both in letter and spirit all sanction laws related to Iran.”
Islamabad reacted to Lu's comments on Thursday, with foreign ministry spokeswoman Mumtaz Zahra Baloch saying that the country remains committed to implementing the joint gas project in accordance with the spirit of the bilateral agreement with Tehran.
“Pakistan does not need to consult others or be exempted from sanctions but wants to go ahead with the project of transferring gas from the Islamic Republic of Iran,” she told reporters, adding that the decision of the Pakistani government to go ahead with the IP gas pipeline is “an independent and free decision, which will be implemented soon.”
Last month, Islamabad officially approved the start of construction work on its segment of the pipeline, which is estimated to cost $158 million. This is a last-ditch effort to ward off $18 billion in potential penalties from Tehran.
The 2,775km long IP project was launched in 2013. However, it missed several deadlines due to long-standing US sanctions against Tehran.

The real question, is why should the sovereign country of Iraq — whose economic insecurity the US already bears large responsibility for, having destroyed the country 2 decades ago based off fabricated “intelligence” of WMDs[lies] — why should Iraq have to beg the US permission to conduct business with its neighbor that is in its own interest?
Somewhere in the answer to that question, is the prime reason for why BRICS is rising..

Egypt's Atrophy Could Revive the Brotherhood
The unprecedented political, economic, and social crises in Egypt may trigger a resurgence of the Muslim Brotherhood, which has historically filled gaps the state cannot meet.
On the morning of 4 March, the State Security Criminal Court in Egypt sentenced the Muslim Brotherhood's supreme guide Mohammed Badie to death, along with seven of the outlawed group's leaders (Mahmoud Ezzat, Mohamed el-Beltagy, Amr Zaki, Osama Yassin, Safwa Hegazy, Assem Abdel Maged, and Mohamed Abdel Maqsoud) for organizing acts of violence eleven years ago in the so-called 'Platform Events' case.
The case traces back to 2013, days after the Egyptian military ousted the late Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated President Mohamed Mursi in a Saudi–UAE-backed coup.
Technically, this ruling marked 80-year-old Badie's third encounter with a death sentence following the infamous "Rabaa Operations Room" case in 2015.
Yet, beyond notions of 'justice,' a deeper narrative unfurls – one laden with political gravitas. The court's ruling wasn't solely about holding individuals accountable for past transgressions; it was a strategic move by the Egyptian state.
Ticking time bomb
The government of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is fearful of the impending social upheaval anticipated as a result of the state's faltering economy, flawed fiscal policies, decline in Arab world clout, and Egypt's impotence in the face of Israel's ethnic cleansing of Gaza – all ingredients for a potential powder keg primed to detonate.
Commentators suggest the next explosion could be of an unprecedented scale, eclipsing the Bread Intifada of 1977 and the 25 January revolution of 2011.
He recalled the role of the Brotherhood in the 1948 War, and then the effects of the Nakba on Egypt and the policies of the state, aimed at eradicating the popular Islamic social and political movement since the fifties:
....If the government fails to tread carefully in domestic affairs – particularly with the backdrop of Israel's genocidal assault on Muslims right on Egypt's border – the Brotherhood could re-emerge from the shadows, colliding head-on with the state once again.
