Warden Is Ousted As FBI Raids California Women’s Prison Known As The ‘Rape Club’
FBI agents raided a federal women’s prison in California this week so plagued by sexual abuse that it was known among inmates and workers as the “rape club.”
The action coincided with the ouster of the new warden from the federal correctional institution in Dublin. Warden Art Dulgov — just a few months into his tenure — and three other top managers were removed from their positions Monday by the federal Bureau of Prisons. Dulgov was the third new leader of the low-security prison since Warden Ray T. Garcia, who, along with more than half a dozen employees, was convicted of sexually assaulting multiple women serving time there.
Dulgov and staff are accused of retaliating against an inmate who testified in January in a class-action lawsuit that alleges “horrific abuse and exploitation” at the prison, with rampant sexual assault of incarcerated persons, according to a court filing.
...Legal experts say what has happened at the federal prison is indicative of the worst aspects of institutions with abusers in their midst.
“There is no accountability with some public entities, and the sexual abuse keeps festering and festering until it blows up,” said attorney David Ring, who has handled high-profile sexual assault litigation involving schools, facilities and Hollywood studios.
“They tend to shuffle the offenders,” he said. “Officials in prisons can be the worst because they are so jaded that all the complaints fall on deaf ears about the guards.”
.. According to the filing in the class-action suit, the warden transferred an inmate who was a witness in a lawsuit against the prison, violating a judge’s court order that witnesses not be moved without the court’s approval.
On Monday, Nancy T. McKinney, a top regional Bureau of Prisons supervisor, was appointed interim warden of Dublin. She is the fourth person to hold the office since Garcia was removed.
Bureau officials acknowledged the leadership change, saying, “Recent developments have necessitated new executive employees be installed” at the prison...
The raid comes as the number of women who have come forward in lawsuits against guards and staff alleging sexual abuse and retaliation has reached 63. That number, according to attorneys, is expected to surpass 100.

UNICEF Says Israel Has Killed Over 13,000 Children in Gaza
The agency says many are suffering from malnutrition and do not 'even have the energy to cry'
The UN’s child relief agency said on Sunday that over 13,000 children have been killed in the Gaza Strip and that many more could be dead under the rubble.
“Thousands more have been injured, or we can’t even determine where they are. They may be stuck under rubble,” said UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell, according to Reuters. “We haven’t seen that rate of death among children in almost any other conflict in the world.”
Gaza’s Health Ministry has said over 31,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza and has consistently stated that around 70% of the casualties are women and children.
Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin previously said over 25,000 women and children had been killed in Gaza, but the Pentagon walked his comment back, claiming he was talking about all Palestinians killed.
Russel said that she visited a hospital ward where children were suffering from severe malnutrition and said the place was quiet because “the children, the babies … don’t even have the energy to cry.”
Separately, the UN’s Palestinian relief agency, UNRWA, said one in three children under the age of two in Gaza is now acutely malnourished. “Children’s malnutrition is spreading fast and reaching unprecedented levels in Gaza,” UNRWA said. Children have already started to starve to death in Gaza, with dozens of malnutrition deaths already reported.
Despite the horrific situation and Israel’s continued restrictions on aid, the US is still providing unconditional military aid to support the slaughter and starvation campaign against the Palestinians in Gaza.

Japan, US Eye Greater Production Of Defense Parts Amid Concerns Over Insufficient US Stockpile
Japan and the United States are preparing to agree to strengthen their joint production of defense equipment and to specify this in the outcome document for a summit meeting scheduled for April, according to sources in both governments.
U.S. production capacity has been strained by its support for Ukraine, which has been subject to Russian aggression. Japan is aiming to demonstrate the unity of the Japan-U.S. alliance by supporting U.S. aid for Ukraine, and to maintain deterrence.
The main agenda of the April 10 meeting between Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and U.S. President Joe Biden in Washington will be strengthening cooperation between the defense industries of Japan and the United States, according to the sources. There are concerns on the U.S. side that prolonged support for Ukraine and other factors could lead to an insufficient stockpile of artillery shells and missiles.
Last December, Japan revised the Three Principles on Transfer of Defense Equipment and Technology and its Implementation Guidelines. In conjunction with this, Japan decided to export Patriot surface-to-air guided missiles to the United States to help compensate for the U.S. missile shortage.
...The two countries are also eyeing China’s growing hegemonic power and want to strengthen their supply chains for defense equipment, according to the sources.

Trudeau’s Canada Threatens LIFE SENTENCES for “Hate”
This is not satire. This is real life 1984.
Life in prison, something traditionally preserved for manslaughter or murder, is now being threatened to those found guilty of “hate.”
Bill C-63 reads:
“Everyone who commits an offense under this act or any other act of Parliament, if the commission of the offense is motivated by hatred based on race, national or ethnic origin, language, color, religion, sex, age, mental or physical disability, sexual orientation or gender identity or expression, is guilty of an indictable offense and liable to imprisonment for life.”
It gets worse.
The new bill bribes citizens to snitch on their fellow Canadians.
The Highwire reported:
“It [C-63 bill] allows someone to make a complaint of a discrimination anonymously … if that hateful complaint is found legit, a maximum of 20,000 [Canadian] dollars goes to that person.”
It’s not hard to imagine the level of abuse that could come from such incentives.
Similar legislation to define and crack down on in-person and online “hate” is being pushed across Europe.
Just recently, in Belgium, former Flemish parliamentarian Dries Van Langenhove was sentenced to one year in prison. The reason for this sentence was for sharing supposedly “racist memes” in a private group chat.

In the Likud’s founding charter from 1977, 10 years before the founding of Hamas, the very first paragraph says “between the Sea and the Jordan there will only be Israeli sovereignty.” In 1999, the charter was amended, but the first stanza remains, asserting “the Jordan river will be the permanent eastern border of the State of Israel.”

In the Likud’s founding charter from 1977, 10 years before the founding of Hamas, the very first paragraph says “between the Sea and the Jordan there will only be Israeli sovereignty.” In 1999, the charter was amended, but the first stanza remains, asserting “the Jordan river will be the permanent eastern border of the State of Israel.”

Israel's Military Launched An Overnight Raid On Gaza's Largest Hospital, Al Shifa
The largest medical facility in Gaza, Al-Shifa Hospital, was the site of a raid by the Israeli military early Monday morning, with reports of gunshots, a fire breaking out on the complex and an unknown number of people injured and potentially killed.
The Israeli military said it was "operating to thwart terrorist activity in the Shifa hospital," and carrying out "precise operational activity" in order to track senior Hamas terrorists allegedly inside the building, where displaced civilians have taken shelter.
"During the activity, terrorists opened fire at the troops from within the hospital. The troops responded with live fire and hits were identified. Our troops are continuing to operate in the area of the hospital," the Israeli military said in a statement.
The Gaza Ministry of Health rejected the Israeli military's claims, saying, "What the occupation forces are doing against Al-Shifa Medical Complex is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law."

Gaza Aid Trucks Face ‘Deliberate’ 20-day Delay By Israel: Oxfam
The UK-based NGO said Gaza needs five times the amount of aid that has been allowed in to meet minimum living needs
Anti-poverty NGO Oxfam released a report on 17 March showing that Israel is deliberately worsening the humanitarian crisis in Gaza by actively obstructing aid delivery and leaving trucks stranded for weeks.
The Israeli authorities “are leading a dysfunctional and undersized inspection system that keeps aid snarled up, subjected to onerous, repetitive and unpredictable bureaucratic procedures that are contributing to trucks being stranded in giant queues for 20 days on average,” the report reads.
Oxfam says that the provisions demanded by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) should have “shocked Israeli leaders” into taking immediate action to prevent further catastrophe in Gaza. However, the NGO writes that the conditions in Gaza have evidently worsened since the ICJ ruling.
“The fact that other governments have not challenged Israel hard enough but instead turned to less effective methods like airdrops and maritime corridors is a huge red flag, signaling that Israel continues to deny the full potential of better ways to deliver more aid,” writes Sally Abi Khalil, Oxfam Middle East and North Africa Director.

Recent media reports have said there are discussions within the Biden administration to condition military aid to Israel if it invades Rafah as a way to reduce civilian casualties.
The assumption was that the US could threaten to cut off or reduce its weapons supply to Israel, but according to a report from ABC News, the US might do the opposite.
The report cited US officials who said the US hasn’t made a decision on leveraging military aid and that “it’s possible additional aid — not less — would be offered as an incentive” to reduce civilian casualties.
The US officials made the comments in response to a senior Israeli official complaining that US weapons shipments weren’t coming fast enough. The official said that in the wake of October 7, US arms “were coming very fast,” but “we are now finding that it’s very slow.”
US officials denied there was any intentional slowdown in weapons shipments to Israel. When asked about the Israeli claim, White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said the US was continuing to supply Israel with arms.
“I’m not gonna get into the timeline for every individual system that’s being provided,” Kirby said. “We continue to support Israel with their self-defense needs. That’s not going to change, and we have been very, very direct about that.”

Federal Reserve Declares CBDC a “Key Duty” to Congress, Despite Public Statements Attempting To Downplay Its Focus
"If you don’t think the Fed is pursuing a CBDC, think again."
The Fed (US Federal Reserve, the central bank) does not appear to be one of those institutions whose word you could, so to speak – take to the bank.
Just as it is reassuring the public that it is not focusing on introducing a central bank digital currency (CBDC) in the country, the Fed has only recently been telling Congress that steps leading to a digital dollar are among its “7 key duties.”
This is according to Congressman Tom Emmer, who posted a document on X on March 14, explaining that his office received it as the Fed representatives were in Congress for a presentation.
What caused the alarm is the mention of Automated Clearinghouse and FedNow among the “key duties,” as these payment systems are seen as a way to move towards a CBDC.
It’s been two years since the US Central Bank first came out with a paper looking into this possibility, and is also linked with the Digital Dollar Project, so this should not be seen as controversial per se.
However, just one week before the presentation document Congressman Emmer was referring to when he posted, “If you don’t think the Fed is pursuing a CBDC, think again” – the Fed was in the Senate, where Chairman Jerome Powell told the Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee that adopting or even recommending a US CBDC was a something that was “nowhere near (…) in any form.”
“People don’t need to worry about it,” Powell also said.
