In response to a question about the status of the implementation of various clauses of the memorandum of understanding, including the issue of oil sales and free access to Iran's frozen assets, Baqaei said:
- Regarding the US commitment under Clause 10 (oil sales), the necessary permits have been issued by the US and we are following up on the implementation process.
- Regarding Clause 11 (release of Iran's frozen assets), the implementation process is also being pursued. Within this framework, an expert delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran will be sent to Doha this week.
In response to a question about the start of negotiations for the final agreement within the framework of the designated working groups:

For decades, the United States projected limitless power through its military, technology, and the dollar. Today, behind the carriers, stealth jets, and trillion-dollar budgets, the cracks are showing.

The USS Gerald R. Ford was supposed to symbolize American naval dominance. Instead, after consecutive campaigns, the world's most expensive warship returned home with fires, broken systems, failed berths, malfunctioning toilets, and repair estimates stretching up to two years.
The problem extends beyond one ship. While the U.S. Navy plans to retire carriers, destroyers, and submarines, China continues expanding the world's largest fleet and building nuclear-powered supercarriers.
🔸 Expensive Weapons, Limited Results
America still builds the world's most expensive military hardware, but questions about effectiveness continue to grow.
The F-35 remains plagued by maintenance issues, overheating, poor readiness rates, and soaring costs decades after development began.
The same pattern appeared during the Iran conflict. Despite intensive bombing, Iran reopened underground missile facilities within weeks, restoring access roads, tunnel entrances, and production capacity.
🔸 The Wars That Never End
🇻🇳 Vietnam became a quagmire.
🇦🇫 Afghanistan lasted twenty years.
🇮🇶 Iraq destabilized an entire region.
🇮🇷 Iran became the latest example:
Iran survived, oil prices surged, and public support collapsed. The deeper problem is strategic: Washington repeatedly enters wars without clearly defining victory, fueling endless interventions with little to show for the cost.
🔸 Economic Pressure at Home
Military overstretch would be manageable if the domestic economy remained strong. Instead, inflation continues eroding living standards.
Savings are shrinking, incomes struggle to keep pace with prices, and households increasingly rely on depleted financial cushions.
The dollar still gives Washington extraordinary financial advantages, but new payment systems and local-currency trade are slowly challenging that position. Like the Safavid Empire before its decline, America benefits from controlling a critical financial artery—but alternatives are beginning to emerge.
More countries are settling trade outside the dollar. New financial networks are appearing.
The gap between America's image and its performance is becoming harder to ignore.

Smotrich Says Israel Has Plans Drawn Up To Establish Three Jewish Settlements In Gaza, Waiting For Netanyahu’s Ok
Israeli military officials say that the IDF now occupies 70% of Gaza
Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said on Monday that the Israeli government has plans drawn up to establish three Jewish settlements in the Gaza Strip and is just waiting for approval from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The settlements, which would clearly be illegal under international law, are being planned by the Israeli Defense Ministry’s Settlement Administration, a body created under Smotrich, who also holds a position in the Defense Ministry, in 2023.
Smotrich said the administration has “completed the groundwork to establish three settlements in the north Gaza area” and called on Netanyahu to “give the approval” in order to “complete the mission and restore true security for the residents of the south.”
Israeli military officials said last week that the IDF now controls 70% of Gaza , a violation of the US-backed ceasefire deal, which left Israeli troops occupying about 53% of the Palestinian territory. The deal explicitly stated that Israel couldn’t take any more territory if Hamas fulfilled its obligations under the agreement, which the group did by releasing all remaining Israeli hostages and retrieving the bodies of the deceased Israelis.
Israeli officials claim Hamas has violated the deal by not disarming, but Hamas didn’t commit to laying down its weapons under the ceasefire deal. The issues of the group’s disarmament and Israel’s withdrawal from Gaza were meant to be worked out in follow-up negotiations, which have been impeded by Israel’s constant violations of the agreement, which have killed more than 1,000 Palestinians.
