—❗️🇮🇱/🇱🇧 NEW: Protests in Beirut, after Lebanon and Israel signed an agreement today to engage in direct and formal talks for the first time
Most people in Lebanon, especially Shias, consider the Israeli-Lebanese agreement a betrayal and say it amounts to a normalization move.
Among other things, the Israeli-Lebanese deal includes a plan to combat Hezbollah together.

❗️A statement from a prominent Israeli journalist
Ravi Drucker, host of a popular program on Israel's Channel 13:
"The Israeli plan in Lebanon is to divide the country and plunge it into a civil war to force the Lebanese government into a military confrontation with Hezbullah!"
Meanwhile, military correspondent Alon Ben-David confirmed that "this has been Israel's objective from the beginning."

🇱🇧🇮🇱🇺🇸 Why are people in Beirut surrounding their own government building right now? This is why.
Lebanon's leadership just signed a framework that hands Hezbollah's disarmament over first, with Israel's withdrawal from Lebanese soil coming only after, on a timeline Israel alone gets to certify. Two pilot zones, controlled by the IDF until Tel Aviv decides Beirut's done enough.
The worst parts for Lebanon, straight from the text:
🔸️Israel declares "no territorial ambitions in Lebanon" while staying exactly where it is until it unilaterally signs off on disarmament
🔸️US military aid to the Lebanese Army comes "strictly conditioned" on milestones Washington sets and grades
🔸️Lebanon and the US jointly commit to financially strangling any group tied to the resistance, Hezbollah is never named in the text, but it's the only group this clause is written for
🔸️Reconstruction money kept on a separate, slower track from the military conditions, so Beirut disarms first and waits to get paid
The framework closes by thanking Trump for his "vision and leadership." The people outside the Serail aren't buying that this is a peace deal.

"Once again, America has attacked Iran in the midst of negotiations.
The US president has once again proven that he has no commitment whatsoever to the principles of negotiation and ceasefire.
This reckless ceasefire violation by America will, as always, certainly lead to their retreat and regret."

This is what the US brokered agreement today was aimed at.

🇮🇷 IRGC Navy: We struck US military positions in the region in response to America's aggression and treaty violation.
Per Sepah's public relations office, via Tasnim:
"Following the Zionist regime's violation of the ceasefire in southern Lebanon, hours ago the treaty-breaking American regime, as always, violated its own commitments and, citing various pretexts about the passage of a violating ship through an unauthorized route in the Strait of Hormuz, carried out an airstrike on the coasts of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, in response to this aggression, struck positions where the terrorist American army is stationed in the region.
Under Article 5 of the Islamabad Memorandum, arrangements for controlling passage through the Strait of Hormuz rest with the Islamic Republic of Iran. However, America, by instigating various parties, sought to violate this commitment, and the necessary response has been given, and will continue to be given going forward. Should the aggression be repeated, our response will be broader than this."

Israel Facing Unprecedented Psychological Collapse Under Weight of its Own Wars
An unprecedented psychological collapse is tearing through Israeli society as prolonged Israeli aggression triggers a massive wave of post-traumatic stress disorder, domestic violence, and suicide. According to data from the National Insurance Institute and the Israeli Ministry of War published by Haaretz, the number of people recognized with 'war-related' mental disabilities has skyrocketed tenfold over the past three years, jumping from roughly 6,400 to more than 69,000.
