Khawaja Asif warned that Israeli leaders will do everything to undermine a peace deal between the US and Iran.
The Pakistani minister said a successful agreement would spell the end of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's political career — and likely lead to his arrest.
Asif accused Netanyahu of genocide against Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza, as well as in Lebanon, and said the scale of the atrocities was unprecedented.
The minister also accused Israel's Western allies of complicity.

❗️Israeli finance minister says Israel will stay in Lebanon for years, won’t withdraw even if US demands it
Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich declared that Israel will maintain its military occupation of southern Lebanon for years to come, vowing not to withdraw even if explicitly ordered by Washington. In an interview with the Makor Rishon newspaper, reported by The Times of Israel, the minister dismissed the likelihood of US pushback, stating he estimates no such demand will come because "they understand our red lines."
Smotrich confirmed plans to establish permanent infrastructure in the occupied territory, including "everything, definitely" from army posts to full military bases.
He justified the long-term expansion by criticizing historical borders, arguing that the 1916 Sykes-Picot line is illogical and failed to consider the terrain's topography. "We are there until Hezbollah disarms, and I think also beyond that, because we need defendable borders," Smotrich stated.
The finance minister emphasized that the open-ended occupation represents a unified front within the Israeli war cabinet. "Until Hezbollah disarms, we aren’t moving a millimeter," Smotrich said, adding that "this is the stance of the prime minister and the defense minister, and mine too, and we are determined to stick to it."
He noted his position is backed by his ongoing role in negotiating Israel's 'defense' budget for the next decade.

President Trump on Sunday issued new threats against Iran and its negotiators as US and Iranian officials were in Geneva, Switzerland, for the first round of talks under the US-Iran Memorandum of Understanding.
Speaking to Fox News reporter Trey Yingst , President Trump claimed that he spoke with Iranian officials overnight and told them: “You close [the Strait of Hormuz] and you won’t have a country.”
The president was reacting to the news that Iran’s military announced it would re-close the Strait of Hormuz in response to Israel’s continued attacks in Lebanon, which killed dozens of people over the weekend despite another “ceasefire” being declared. The MoU calls for a complete end to the war, and Iranian officials have said it hinges on an Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon.
Yingst said Trump also told the officials that if the strait is closed, “you won’t even make it back to your f–cking country,” which appears to be a threat against the lives of Iran’s officials in Geneva, who include Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.
Separately, in a post on Truth Social , the president threatened Iran over its support for Hezbollah. “Iran must immediately stop their highly paid PROXIES in Lebanon from causing trouble. If they don’t, we’ll hit Iran very hard again, just like we did last week, only harder!!!” Trump said.
