Car Bomb Kills Russia-Backed Politician in East Ukraine

Ukraine said it carried out a special operation to kill a Russia-backed politician who died as a car bomb exploded in eastern Ukraine.

The assassination is the latest in a series of attacks against separatists and Moscow-installed officials in the Ukrainian regions to which the Kremlin lays claim.

Mikhail Filiponenko, a deputy in the Russia-backed parliament in occupied Luhansk, was killed on Wednesday after an “explosive device detonated” in his car, his son told the Luhansk Information Centre news agency.

"Normalization is still on the table," says Saudi Investment minister Khalid Al-Falih, who described the sacrifices of the Palestinian resistance and people as nothing more than a "setback" obstructing its plans for 'peace' with the Israeli occupation state.

When asked whether Saudi Arabia would use economic tools such as the oil price to stop the aggression, Al-Falih laughed and said: “That is not on the table today."

These comments were made at the Bloomberg New Economy Forum on 8 November.

'Gaza Administration a Palestinian Affair:' Hamas spox

Washington has similarly claimed they do not support an Israeli occupation of the Gaza Strip

Hamas spokesman Dr. Abdul Latif al-Qanua, on 8 November, commented on the discussions between the US and Israelis about the future management of the Gaza Strip.

"The administration of Gaza or part of our land is a Palestinian affair for our people, and no force on the ground will succeed in changing reality or imposing its will," Qanua said on the group's Telegram channel.

This comes in response to remarks made by two high-ranking US officials on Tuesday and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's statements during an interview on Monday.

"I think Israel will, for an indefinite period, will have the overall security responsibility [over Gaza] because we've seen what happens when we don't have it. When we don't have that security responsibility, what we have is the eruption of Hamas terror on a scale that we couldn't imagine," Netanyahu said.

US officials quickly condemned the comments and voiced their disagreement with the Israeli premier.

US State Department deputy spokesperson Vedant Patel said on Tuesday that Washington disagrees with the further displacement of Palestinians from Gaza nor reoccupation plans made by Israel.

Zelensky Aide Criticizes Western Countries ‘War Fatigue’

There are mounting signs that Ukraine will struggle to maintain support from the West

A top aide to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said the West needs to keep backing Ukraine’s war with Russia and hit back at comments made by Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni about growing war fatigue.

Meloni made the comments last week while on the phone with Russian pranksters, who she thought were African Union officials. “There is a lot of fatigue, I have to say the truth, from all the sides. We are near the moment in which everybody understands that we need a way out,” Meloni said.

Andrii Yermak, the head of Zelensky’s office, claimed the West would be less safe if it stopped fueling the proxy war. “Even if there are people who feel this fatigue, I’m sure they don’t want to wake up in a world tomorrow where there will be less freedom and less security, and the consequences of this last for decades,” he said.

Poll: 1 in 4 Americans Know Someone Who Died From COVID Vaccine

A new poll found that about a quarter of Americans believe someone they knew died from COVID-19 vaccines, while another recent survey found that a growing number of Americans are increasingly wary of the shots.

In a poll from Rasmussen Reports, it found that about about a quarter of Americans, or 24 percent, "believe someone they know died from COVID-19 vaccine side effects," said the pollster on Nov. 2. About 69 percent said they do not know anyone who died from the vaccine.

About half of Americans, or 47 percent, said that they know someone who died from the COVID-19 virus, while 49 percent said they don't know anyone who died from the illness, according to Rasmussen.

The NYPD is Underreporting Its Invasive Surveillance Tactics

In the interest of privacy, and with the aim to combat overreaching surveillance, the work of the New York City Police Department (NYPD) has raised several concerns.

The Surveillance Technology Oversight Project (S.T.O.P) revealed through its Research Manager, Corinne Worthington, and research intern, Aaron Greenberg, that the NYPD has been employing surveillance technologies that track civilians unnoticed. This type of tracking includes the use of drones for aerial surveillance, GPS locators for tagging vehicles, and even robots for tracking movement within the subway system.

The implications of these findings go beyond just privacy invasion. With no accountability, these intrusive practices can result in unchecked power dynamics, which can subsequently compromise the justice system and individual rights.

NYT: ‘If Not Me, Who?’: As Ukraine Seeks Troops, Women Prepare for the Call

The New York Times reports Ukraine is gearing up to initiate conscription of women into the war effort.

..... In several steps since the invasion, the military abolished restrictions that kept women from roles such as machine gunner, tank commander and sniper, and lifted rules prohibiting women from driving trucks. It raised the age limit for female recruits, previously 40, to 60, the same as for men.

Earlier in the full-scale war, women had taken combat roles in paramilitary groups or by skirting rules. And they have been wounded, captured and killed, though the military does not release casualty figures for either men or women.

The Ukrainian Army’s outreach to women is a step toward equality, to be sure, but one that also reflects the tremendous toll the war has exacted.

The hundreds of thousands of men who wanted to volunteer at the start of the war, many lining up on Day 1, have already joined; many are dead or wounded. Ukraine now needs to mobilize and train many more soldiers to sustain its resistance to the Russian invasion, even as men are increasingly dodging the draft.

In August, the military cut back on deferments for chronic diseases. Now men with asymptomatic tuberculosis, hepatitis and H.I.V. are eligible for the draft. In June, the military tightened exemptions for men caring for disabled relatives or studying at graduate schools, where enrollment has ballooned since the invasion.

The first indication of a possible draft for women came into effect on Oct. 1, with a law requiring women with medical training to register at recruitment offices. They are not being called up, but are required to undergo medical checkups and receive draft cards.

Women have been drawn in particular into piloting drones flown for surveillance or to drop explosives on the enemy.

Mexican Congress Deems Three-Fingered Mummies ‘Real,’ but Refrains From Confirming Alien Origins, 'New Species': What The Scientists Revealed At Mexican Congress During Second UFO Session

During the second Congress session, Mr. Maussan was backed by a group of medical experts who said that the mummies were once-living organisms.

Previously, on September 13, journalist and UFO enthusiast Jaime Maussan presented the specimens at a congressional event on UFOs or FANIs in Spanish. At the time, Maussan said that the bodies believed to have been found near the mysterious ancient Nazca lines in Peru were not related to life on Earth.

During Tuesday's session, as per Reuters, the UFO enthusiast returned to underscore the genuine nature of the bodies. He was backed by a group of medical experts who said that the mummies were of once-living organisms.

They're real: Anthropologist

Talking to Reuters, Anthropologist Roger Zuniga of San Luis Gonzaga National University in Ica, Peru, supported the findings, and said "they're real".

Emphasising that the beings "absolutely no human intervention in the physical and biological formation," he said he didn't know the origin of their potentially extraterrestrial lineage.

Zuniga, along with 11 university researchers, has also signed a letter attesting to the realness of the mummies. However, it also made clear that they were not implying that they were "extraterrestrial".

California’s Governor Newsom Introduces “Cradle to Career” System That Tracks One Billion Data Points on Citizens

For anyone who’s paid even a little attention to the political goings-on (and fiascos of varied kinds) in California’s political landscape these last years – the mere fact that the state’s governor is still one Gavin Newsom is a story worth telling, all in and of itself.

But, since Newsom is still there, he seems to be determined to make “the best” of his controversial, to say the least, time in office. And this thing is quite something – apparently inspired by a trip to China, and, apparently, focused on bringing some version of the feared and loathed (among freedom-lovers) “social credit system” to his, otherwise, Golden State.

But maybe “gold” isn’t a figurative, but rather literal reference – to money? And whoever has more power and control over the population, surely is bound to make more money.

Newsom calls his proposal “Cradle to Career” (“Cradle to Grave” would have been a little on the nose, his PR people no doubt alerted him).

Critics say that it would essentially be one of the spawn of China’s current social credit system, one that would rest on its barely democracy-worthy laurels – based on “one billion data points.”

More importantly, these data points wouldn’t materialize out of thin air – they would come from people living in California, their real lives, and private information.

Scott Horton on USS Liberty Veterans, The Forever Wars in the Middle East, and America First

I'm friends with quite a few guys who fought in the terror wars. Some of them saw and participated in some very hard fighting, killed people they wished they hadn't and saw their friends killed right next to them.

But the only guys I know who have been bombed and strafed from above like what is happening to the Palestinians now, are my friends from the USS Liberty, also ruthlessly attacked by treacherous Israel back in 1967. 34 were killed 171 wounded.

I've gotten to know a few of the Liberty vets, and will have Joe Meadors back on the show here soon to talk about it. But I can tell you that these men – trained fighting-aged males at the time – have carried such pain, trauma, shell shock, humiliation and betrayal with them all these years – 56 years. Some of them were nearly completely broken by it. Their lives were just ruined. They still have nightmares beyond the worst thing you could imagine.

This is what the USA is helping the Israelis do to the civilians of Gaza now.

As Ron Paul wisely warned us years ago. If the American people continue to allow our government, and its clients, to continue to rampage around the world, killing innocent people like this, in the most brutal ways, then we continue to allow it at our own peril.

All these years since Camp Casey, we've wondered "Where's the antiwar left?" Now that they're back, rightwingers are afraid of getting a little antifa spilled on their shirt or something, and some are now forgetting about America First! in favor of supporting Israel's slaughter of Indians in their pen. How vicariously exciting.

Nuts to that! With a solid America First! antiwar right and the return of the antiwar left from their long Dem-induced slumber, we have a chance to finally build a consensus against the American empire and war machine.

It's wrong. We cannot afford it. It causes blowback terrorism against our people. It threatens our liberty and prosperity.

Enough Already. It's time to end all American intervention in Europe, the Middle East, East Asia and Latin America too. As Jean Kirkpatrick once said – when she was decent for a minute between wars – let us eschew the burdens of Superpower status, stop killing people, and return to being a normal country in a normal time. #AmericaFirst!
