5/18 — Iran Announces 'Persian Gulf Strait Authority' to Manage Hormuz with Oman
Reports over the weekend had said Iran was launching a crypto-based insurance platform for passage through the strait, which remains closed to the US and Israel
The Islamic Republic has officially launched a new body to oversee its management of the Strait of Hormuz, formalizing its demand that the waterway come under Iranian jurisdiction following the start of the US-Israeli war.
The body, labeled the Persian Gulf Strait Authority (PGSA), made its first post on 18 May.
“In the Name of God. The official X account of the PGSA is now live. Follow us for real‑time updates on Strait of Hormuz operations and latest developments,” the post stated.
The statement has also been carried by Iran’s Supreme National Security Council and the navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The mechanism will be jointly managed by Tehran and the Sultanate of Oman.
“Our action in the Strait of Hormuz is entirely legitimate. We are in continuous contact with Oman and other relevant parties and are engaged in negotiations to develop a mechanism that will achieve this objective,” Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said earlier on Monday.
“The Strait of Hormuz is a highly important waterway for the entire world. Iran has always made extensive efforts to safeguard secure passage through the route and remains committed to ensuring that navigation is carried out with full safety. The strait lies within the waters of Iran and Oman and that the two littoral countries consider themselves responsible for ensuring safe transit for all nations,” Baghaei added.
He stressed that Iran’s decision on the strait is “legitimate” and “permissible under international law,” particularly in the aftermath of the illegal US-Israeli war waged against the Islamic Republic. “It is natural for any coastal country to receive payments for services it provides. The core issue is ensuring secure navigation and taking measures to preserve national security.”
Baghaei also said that talks with Oman on a joint mechanism are ongoing, following meetings between Iranian and Omani officials on the matter in Muscat days ago.
Monday’s announcement comes a day after Iran’s Fars News Agency reported, citing a government document, that Tehran is launching a digital insurance platform, titled Hormuz Safe, in order to guarantee safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz and provide coverage for commercial vessels. Trump Threatens To ‘Blow Up’ Oman If The Country Doesn’t ‘Behave’
The president made the threat when asked about the potential of Iran and Oman jointly controlling the Hormuz Strait
President Trump on Wednesday said the US would “blow up” the country of Oman if it doesn’t “behave,” a threat made when asked if he would accept a short-term deal that involved Iran and Oman jointly controlling the Strait of Hormuz.
“No, the strait’s got to be opened to everybody, it’s international waters. Nobody’s going to control it. We’ll watch over it, but nobody’s going to control it. That’s part of the negotiation,” Trump told reporters while hosting a cabinet meeting at the White House.
“Oman will behave just like everybody else, or we’ll have to blow them up. They understand that they’ll be fine,” the president added.
Iranian media reported last month that Iran’s initial proposal to end the war with the US involved charging a fee for ships transiting the strait, with the revenue split between Iran and Oman, which both have coasts along the waterway, and Iranian officials have held talks with their Omani counterparts on the issue.

🚨LEAKED: Pro-Israel Group’s Own Polling Shows OVER 90% of Americans Believe Israel Has TOO MUCH Power Over U.S. Politics 😱
The mask just slipped completely. Internal polling and strategy documents from Vine & Fig Tree—a pro-Israel group with direct White House lines via NSC Counterterrorism Czar Sebastian Gorka—got caught red-handed.
What their own data proves is exactly what millions of us have been feeling: Skepticism of foreign influence isn't a fringe movement. It's the overwhelming majority.
Here is what they are hiding from you:
OVER 90% DISTRUST: Their own leaked numbers show over 90% of Americans believe Israel holds entirely too much power and influence over U.S. politics.
CROSSES ALL LINES: This isn’t a "dissident right" thing. The data cuts completely across the board—uniting people who listen to Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, and Nick Fuentes with people who completely oppose them. It’s a universal American awakening.
IT’S POLITICAL, NOT RELIGIOUS: They explicitly admit Christian values have ZERO correlation with this distrust. It has nothing to do with antisemitism, no matter how loud the media screams it. It is entirely about foreign entities running our domestic policy.
THEY VIEW YOU AS A THREAT: They literally frame everyday American skepticism—even questions surrounding the Charlie Kirk assassination attempt—as a "national security threat on par with terrorism."
THE PLAYBOOK: The documents outline going after independent influencers, undermining Christian identity, using burner accounts, and launching targeted cyber operations.
The White House connection? They are actively using third-party proxies to run AI-generated video psyops on the American public so the digital trail doesn't lead back to the NSC. It's the exact same shadow operation Candace Owens exposed regarding the WHCD shooting.
The engagement feels artificial because it IS. They aren't fighting hate; they are fighting the American people waking up to the grift.
America First means AMERICA ONLY. No more foreign lobbies dictating our future.

.. There is a company called Vine & Fig Tree (VFT). VFT is a pro-Israel organization with ties to the administration. Earlier this year, VFT was at the White House meeting with Sebastian Gorka.... If you're wondering whether the White House is actually listening to VFT... It's worth reviewing the White House's latest 16-page Counterterrorism Strategy touted by Gorka. More to follow.

Arab, Islamic Nations Unite to Condemn Somaliland Opening Embassy in Occupied Jerusalem
Israel and the UAE are seeking to use the breakaway region of Somaliland to project power in the maritime chokepoints of the Gulf of Aden and Bab
Fifteen Arab and Islamic countries condemned on 24 May the decision of the breakaway region of Somaliland to open an embassy in occupied Jerusalem.
The foreign ministers of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Turkiye, Pakistan, Indonesia, Djibouti, Somalia, Palestine, Oman, Sudan, Yemen, Lebanon, and Mauritania denounced the move in a joint statement on Sunday.
The countries condemned "in the strongest terms the illegal and unacceptable step taken by the so-called 'Somaliland' region in opening a purported 'embassy' in occupied Jerusalem," according to the statement.
The countries issued the statement one week after Israeli President Isaac Herzog welcomed Somaliland's first-ever ambassador to Israel, Dr. Mohamed Hagi, at the President's Residence in occupied Jerusalem.
"This new and important partnership between our countries will lead to a future of cooperation in a variety of fields – for the benefit of both our peoples and the entire region," Herzog stated.
Seven countries have opened embassies in Jerusalem since the US, under President Donald Trump, recognized the city as Israel's capital in 2017.
The decision sparked widespread international condemnation, given that Israeli forces illegally occupied East Jerusalem during the Six-Day War in 1967, which Palestinians call the Naksa.
Since then, Israel has colonized East Jerusalem in violation of international law by expelling indigenous Palestinian Muslims and Christians and facilitating the settlement of Jewish Israelis in their place.
The 15 countries rejected any unilateral measures to entrench "an illegal reality in occupied Jerusalem or conferring legitimacy on any entities or arrangements that contravene international law and relevant United Nations resolutions."
The statement reaffirmed the fact that "East Jerusalem has been occupied Palestinian territory since 1967" and said any measures seeking to alter its legal or historical status are "null and void."
The foreign ministers also expressed full support for the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Somalia, rejecting any unilateral actions that undermine Somali sovereignty.
In April, Somalia condemned Israel's appointment of an ambassador to the breakaway region of Somaliland, calling the move a "breach" of its sovereignty and international law.

Over 50 Countries Continued to Arm Israel During Genocide of Palestinians in Gaza: Report
Dozens of countries that ratified the Genocide Convention still supplied arms to Israel even after the ICJ issued a provisional ruling that Israel was likely committing genocide in Gaza
An Al-Jazeera investigation published on 23 May revealed that military-grade products from at least 51 countries and self-governing territories kept entering Israel even after the International Court of Justice (ICJ) issued a provisional ruling over the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza.
In January 2024, the UN's top court ordered Israel to take all measures to prevent genocidal acts in Gaza. By then, Israel's brutal bombing of Gaza had killed more than 26,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children.
However, countries across the globe continued to provide weapons and military assistance to the Israeli military, the Al-Jazeera report found.
Using Israeli Tax Authority (ITA) import data, customs records, and freedom of information requests, the Al-Jazeera investigation found the military-related goods were shipped to Israel from countries across Europe, Asia, North America, and South America, including from many that have signed the genocide convention.
In some cases, the military supplies originated from countries that had publicly imposed arms embargoes on Israel or had at least partially suspended arms supplies to the country.
According to the ITA data, Israeli arms imports increased after the ICJ ruling, in particular munitions imports.
The five biggest military suppliers to Israel—namely the US, India, Romania, Taiwan, and the Czech Republic—all boosted their shipments of military equipment to Tel Aviv following the ruling.
ITA data showed that 2,603 consignments of military-related goods valued at $885 million were sent to Israel between October 2023 and October 2025. Of those, $805 million worth came after the January 2024 ruling.

— 🇺🇸/🇮🇷 Iran’s semi-official Fars News Agency:
‘Informed sources have rejected U.S. President Donald Trump's new claims about a possible agreement with Iran, describing his statements as ‘a mix of truth and lies’ and an attempt to show a fake victory. The MoU is in the final stages of ratification in Iran, but a final decision has not yet been made.
In contrast, Trump has already raised issues that contradict the clauses of the MoU text:
1. Strait of Hormuz: Trump has claimed that Iran is obliged to open the Strait of Hormuz without receiving fees, but there is no such clause in the text of the agreement. Iran has emphasized that after the naval blockade is lifted, it will open the Strait based on its predetermined arrangements. These arrangements could range from monitoring and inspecting ships to providing services and security, which according to Fars correspondents, Iran is preparing the ground for these arrangements.
2. Destroying the enriched uranium materials: Trump has claimed that Iran will dismantle or destroy its enriched uranium stockpile. Informed sources emphasize that not only is there no such a clause in the memorandum of understanding, but this claim is fundamentally baseless.
There are also key clauses of the agreement that Trump has skipped:
1. Immediate release of $12 Billion in frozen assets to Iran. According to the text of the agreement, this amount must be paid immediately and until that has been completed, Iran will not enter any further negotiations.
2. Ceasefire in Lebanon.
According to informed sources, only if these issues are resolved will Iran enter into talks regarding the lifting of all sanctions and the nuclear issue, in accordance with its red lines.‘
