Car Bomb Kills Russia-Backed Politician in East Ukraine
Ukraine said it carried out a special operation to kill a Russia-backed politician who died as a car bomb exploded in eastern Ukraine.
The assassination is the latest in a series of attacks against separatists and Moscow-installed officials in the Ukrainian regions to which the Kremlin lays claim.
Mikhail Filiponenko, a deputy in the Russia-backed parliament in occupied Luhansk, was killed on Wednesday after an “explosive device detonated” in his car, his son told the Luhansk Information Centre news agency.
Filiponenko, who had been engaged in Luhansk’s pro-Russian separatist movement since 2014, previously acted as one of the top commanders in the army of the so-called Luhansk People’s Republic.
In September, he was voted into the regional assembly in a poll that sparked broad international condemnation.
Ukraine’s military intelligence agency said it conducted the operation with resistance forces in Luhansk.

🚨 BREAKING: Very bad news. The European Parliament and Member States just reached an agreement on introducing the Digital Identity, #eID.
Directly afterwards, #EU Commissioner Breton said: "Now that we have a Digital Identity Wallet, we have to put something in it...", suggesting a connection between #CBDC and eID.
They ignored all the privacy experts and security specialists. They're pushing it all through.
I am not optimistic. But it is not too late yet. Parliament still has to vote about this. Let your MEP know that you oppose the Digital Identity and that you want your MEP to vote against it!

Against the Tide: India Bars Protests That Support the Palestinians
From Western capitals to Muslim states, protest rallies over the Israel-Hamas war have made headlines. But one place known for its vocal pro-Palestinian stance has been conspicuously quiet: Indian-controlled Kashmir.
Indian authorities have barred any solidarity protest in Muslim-majority Kashmir and asked Muslim preachers not to mention the conflict in their sermons, residents and religious leaders told The Associated Press.
The restrictions are part of India’s efforts to curb any form of protest that could turn into demands for ending New Delhi’s rule in the disputed region. They also reflect a shift in India’s foreign policy under populist Prime Minister Narendra Modi away from its long-held support for the Palestinians, analysts say.
India has long walked a tightrope between the warring sides, with historically close ties to both. While India strongly condemned the Oct. 7 attack by the militant group Hamas and expressed solidarity with Israel, it urged that international humanitarian law be upheld in Gaza amid rising civilian deaths.

Netanyahu Envisions ‘Indefinite’ Israeli Occupation of Gaza
Israel has been quietly pushing for other governments to support a plan to push Palestinians into Egypt
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu envisions Israel taking “overall security responsibility” for the Gaza Strip indefinitely if the Israeli war to destroy Hamas is successful, the Israeli leader said in an interview with ABC News that aired late Monday.
“I think Israel will, for an indefinite period will have the overall security responsibility because we’ve seen what happens when we don’t have it. When we don’t have that security responsibility, what we have is the eruption of Hamas terror on a scale that we couldn’t imagine,” Netanyahu said.
When asked if the US would support Netanyahu’s vision, which would have to be achieved by an Israeli occupation, White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said the issue of the enclave’s future was being discussed. “What we support is that Hamas can’t be in control of Gaza anymore. We can’t go back to October 6,” he said.
“We are having conversations with our Israeli counterparts about what governance in Gaza should look like post-conflict, and I don’t believe that any solutions have been settled upon one way or the other,” Kirby added.
US officials have previously said they don’t want Israel to occupy Gaza after the war, but President Biden has put no conditions on his full-throated support for Israel’s brutal campaign, which has killed over 10,000 Palestinians so far. Bloomberg recently reported that one idea the US and Israel are considering is deploying a multinational force to a post-war Gaza that would include US and other Western troops.

White House Says Israel Has Killed ‘Many, Many Thousands of Innocents’
The Pentagon still says US military aid to Israel is unconditional
The White House acknowledged on Monday that the US-backed Israeli onslaught on Gaza has killed “many, many thousands of innocent people” as the Biden administration continues unconditional support for Israel’s war.
The comments were made by White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby, who previously told reporters to expect that Israel would continue to kill innocent civilians.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said on Tuesday that at least 10,328 Palestinians have been killed, including 4,237 children. Thousands more are missing and presumed to be under the rubble.
The Biden administration has cast doubt on the numbers coming from Gaza’s Health Ministry but is not denying civilians are being killed on a massive scale. Pentagon spokesman Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder has also acknowledged that “thousands” of civilians have been killed.

Majid Zaqoul and an unidentified man died in Israeli custody amid widespread accounts of Palestinians being beaten and abused in detention
The deaths of two workers from Gaza in Israeli custody have been confirmed by the Palestinian Prisoners' Club amidst widespread reports of abuse of Palestinian detainees.
Of the pair, one has been identified as 32-year-old Majid Zaqoul but details about the other prisoner remain unknown.
Thousands of Palestinians from Gaza were detained by Israel after the Hamas-led attack on 7 October, which left around 1,400 Israelis dead.
They had been in Israel on special work permits, which allowed them to take on employment within the state.
Middle East Eye has spoken to a number of Palestinian workers who were released from detention. They confirmed reports of abuse and poor treatment, which included beatings, violent interrogations about Hamas, humiliation and a forced march back to Gaza.

Feds Bust ‘High-End Brothel’ Where Politicians, Military Officers Allegedly Paid for Sex
Elected officials and military officers were allegedly customers to a 'high-end brothel network' that ended with three arrests on Wednesday
Authorities arrested three individuals accused of organizing a "high-end brothel network" that had been in operation since 2020 and whose customers included elected officials and military officers, a new indictment alleges.
Federal prosecutors announced that Han Lee, 41; James Lee, 68; and Junmyung Lee, 30 were arrested Wednesday morning after allegedly operating an "interstate prostitution network" including multiple brothels in Cambridge and Watertown, Massachusetts, as well as in Fairfax and Tysons, Virginia, just outside Washington, D.C.
The defendants advertised the prostitution network on two websites, which, according to prosecutors, offered appointments with women in either Boston or Eastern Virginia and listed each woman's height, weight and bust size with nude and semi-nude photographs.
Any potential "client" was required to complete a form on the websites with their names, email address, phone number and employer in a so-called verification process before proceeding. After verification and conversation with the brothel via phone, prosecutors say that the sex buyers agreed to meet at various places described as "Target Locations," or high-end apartments.

"Normalization is still on the table," says Saudi Investment minister Khalid Al-Falih, who described the sacrifices of the Palestinian resistance and people as nothing more than a "setback" obstructing its plans for 'peace' with the Israeli occupation state.
When asked whether Saudi Arabia would use economic tools such as the oil price to stop the aggression, Al-Falih laughed and said: “That is not on the table today."
These comments were made at the Bloomberg New Economy Forum on 8 November.

'Gaza Administration a Palestinian Affair:' Hamas spox
Washington has similarly claimed they do not support an Israeli occupation of the Gaza Strip
Hamas spokesman Dr. Abdul Latif al-Qanua, on 8 November, commented on the discussions between the US and Israelis about the future management of the Gaza Strip.
"The administration of Gaza or part of our land is a Palestinian affair for our people, and no force on the ground will succeed in changing reality or imposing its will," Qanua said on the group's Telegram channel.
This comes in response to remarks made by two high-ranking US officials on Tuesday and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's statements during an interview on Monday.
"I think Israel will, for an indefinite period, will have the overall security responsibility [over Gaza] because we've seen what happens when we don't have it. When we don't have that security responsibility, what we have is the eruption of Hamas terror on a scale that we couldn't imagine," Netanyahu said.
US officials quickly condemned the comments and voiced their disagreement with the Israeli premier.
US State Department deputy spokesperson Vedant Patel said on Tuesday that Washington disagrees with the further displacement of Palestinians from Gaza nor reoccupation plans made by Israel.
