🇺🇸🇮🇷⚡️- A regional intelligence official says that two U.S. destroyers attempted to cross the Strait of Hormuz but were turned back after threats from the IRGC, according to Bloomberg.

⭕️ A Tasnim reporter in Pakistan says an Iranian delegation, led by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and including Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, met with Pakistan’s army chief Asim Munir in Islamabad, where they lodged a strong protest over a US breach of commitments during the current phase of negotiations.

Iran had agreed to enter talks after a US request to halt escalation, on the condition that Iranian assets be released and a ceasefire be implemented in Lebanon—terms relayed through Pakistani mediation as accepted by Washington but not carried out.

In response, Iran has kept oil tanker transit through the Strait of Hormuz unchanged.

Following internal evaluations, the Iranian delegation will decide whether to proceed with negotiations with the US side.

Senior Hezbollah official and member of Lebanese parliament, Hassan Fadlallah issued a statement condemning the Lebanese government’s decision to enter direct negotiations with Israel, calling it a blatant violation of the national pact, constitution, and laws.

He said the move by those controlling the government deepens internal divisions at a time Lebanon needs unity to face ongoing Israeli attacks, preserve civil peace, and protect coexistence.

Fadlallah stated that what Israel failed to achieve on the battlefield against border villages due to resistance will not be achieved through negotiations with a government he described as lacking control over its decisions, failing in its duties, and lacking constitutional legitimacy. He added that Lebanese authorities should have prioritized national interests by benefiting from the international opportunity created by Iran’s firm support for Lebanon, including its insistence on halting Israeli attacks before talks in Islamabad, but instead ignored and obstructed this position for non-Lebanese considerations, prolonging the aggression.

He concluded that the Lebanese people will remain committed to resistance to defend their land and rights, stressing that resistance will continue as long as its people remain, while governments are temporary, and that those betting on Israeli attacks should observe developments on the ground and the resilience of displaced and steadfast civilians.

Netanyahu Corruption Trial To Resume As Israel Lifts War Emergency

The two-week ceasefire agreed between Iran and the US allows Israeli courts to resume the Prime Minister's trial

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's years-long corruption trial ‌will resume this week, Reuters reported on 9 April, after Israel lifted a state of emergency following a ceasefire with Iran.

"With the lifting of the state of emergency and the return of the judicial system to work, hearings will resume as usual," a statement from the Israeli courts said.

Hearings are now scheduled to take place between Sundays ‌and Wednesdays.

Netanyahu was first indicted in 2019 on charges of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust, following years of investigations. His trial, which began in 2020, was repeatedly interrupted, mainly due to Israel's genocide of Palestinians in Gaza that began in October 2023.

The trial, which could result in prison time for Netanyahu, was again delayed after he and US President Donald Trump launched an unprovoked war on Iran on 28 February.

They say they put mines in the water, even though all of their Navy, and most of their "mine droppers," have been completely blown up. They may have done so, but what ship owner would want to take the chance?

There is great dishonor and permanent harm to the reputation of Iran, and what's left of their "Leaders," but we are beyond all of that. As they promised, they better begin the process of getting this INTERNATIONAL WATERWAY OPEN AND FAST! Every Law in the book is being violated by them.

In many ways, the points that were agreed to are better than us continuing our Military Operations to conclusion, but all of those points don't matter compared to allowing Nuclear Power to be in the hands of such volatile, difficult, unpredictable people. My three Representatives, as all of this time went by, became, not surprisingly, very friendly and respectful of Iran's Representatives, Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, Abbas Aragchi, and Ali Bagheri, but that doesn't matter because they were very unyielding as to the single most important issue and, as I have always said, right from the beginning, and many years ago, IRAN WILL NEVER HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON!’
