❗️Thai oil tanker safely crosses Strait of Hormuz after Iran coordination

A Thai oil tanker has safely navigated the Strait of Hormuz after diplomatic coordination between Thailand and Iran, and was not required to pay to bypass the blockade, a Thai official and the vessel’s owning oil company announced today.

The tanker, owned by Bangchak Corporation, crossed the key waterway on Monday following successful discussions between Thai Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow and Iran’s ambassador to Thailand.

"I requested that if Thai ships need to pass through the strait, could they assist in ensuring safe passage?" Sihasak told reporters late on Tuesday.

"They responded that they would take care of it and asked us to provide the names of the vessels that would be transiting."

Trump Again Says He’s Delaying Attacks To Destroy Iran’s Power Plants

The president said the new deadline is set for Monday, April 6

President Trump on Thursday again said he was delaying his plan to order major strikes on Iran’s power plants, claiming that negotiations with Iran were going well despite Tehran’s continued insistence that talks with the US aren’t even happening.

“As per Iranian Government request, please let this statement serve to represent that I am pausing the period of Energy Plant destruction by 10 Days to Monday, April 6, 2026, at 8 PM, Eastern Time,” the president wrote on Truth Social.

“Talks are ongoing and, despite erroneous statements to the contrary by the Fake News Media, and others, they are going very well. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump added.

The president initially threatened to destroy Iran’s power plants by this past Monday if Tehran didn’t “fully open” the Strait of Hormuz, then backed off and pushed the deadline to this Friday. For its part, Iran has said that it would retaliate with major attacks on energy infrastructure in Israel and countries hosting US bases, which would exacerbate the global economic crisis and spike in oil prices caused by the war.

Earlier on Thursday, Trump contradicted himself in a post on Truth Social about the purported negotiations with Iran, suggesting that Tehran was desperate for a deal but was also not taking talks seriously.

Thailand joins a growing list of countries coordinating directly with Tehran for safe Hormuz transit, as Iran selectively waives fees for some vessels while charging others

Thai Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow facilitated the safe passage of an oil tanker through Hormuz after coordinating with Tehran, Reuters reported on 25 March, adding that no fees were charged, despite disruptions caused by the US-Israeli war on Iran.

“I requested that if Thai ships need to pass through the strait, could they assist in ensuring safe passage?” Sihasak said, adding that Iran “responded that they would take care of it and asked us to provide the names of the vessels that would be transiting.”

The tanker, owned by Thai energy company Bangchak Corporation, crossed on 24 March following talks between Bangkok and Tehran, with Thai officials and the company confirming that no payment was required.

The Israeli Government has Launched a Campaign Targeting Christian Schools in Jerusalem.

Following the Israeli Education Ministry’s decision to deny work permits to West Bank–based educators, the 127-year-old St. George’s School—one of the oldest Christian schools in Jerusalem—along with many other Christian schools, is at risk of closure, effectively threatening the future of Christian education in Jerusalem.

The Israeli Ministry of Education has written to school principals in Jerusalem stating that, from September, no work permits will be granted to Christian Palestinian teachers living in the West Bank.

A representative of the General Secretariat of Christian Schools said the decision threatens the future of Christian education in the Holy City.

He added: “If this decision is truly implemented, our Christian schools will find themselves in a very difficult position, which will jeopardise their sustainability and cause them to lose their Christian mission.”

Nearly 230 Christian teachers at 15 schools in Jerusalem are affected.

Most of these schools were founded at the end of the 19th century and have educated hundreds of thousands of students, both Christian and Muslim.
