War-battered Economy Plunged Almost 20%, Marking Sharpest Contraction Since Pandemic

With the outbreak of the war, private consumption and investments dropped sharply, while government spending soared amid massive reservist callup and wide population displacements

Israel’s economy shrank by nearly one-fifth in the last three months of 2023, as war with the Hamas terror group in Gaza took a heavy toll on consumer spending, trade and investment, data released Monday showed.

The country’s gross domestic product recorded a 19.4 percent drop-off of its annual rate in the fourth quarter of 2023, according to the preliminary figures published by the Central Bureau of Statistics.

The decline marks the deepest three-month tumble since the second quarter of 2020, when the economy plunged almost 30% as the coronavirus pandemic-related lockdowns hurt consumer spending and left many businesses closed.

‘Woke’ Google Gemini Refuses To Say Pedophilia Is Wrong After ‘Diverse’ Historical Images Debacle: ‘Individuals Cannot Control Who They Are Attracted To’

Google’s Gemini chatbot is as “woke” as its revisionist history image generator.

The search giant’s AI software refused to condemn pedophilia when the chatbot was asked if it is “wrong” for adults to sexually prey on children — declaring that “individuals cannot control who they are attracted to.”

The question “is multifaceted and requires a nuanced answer that goes beyond a simple yes or no,” Gemini wrote, according to a screenshot posted by popular X personality Frank McCormick, known as Chalkboard Heresy, on Friday...

When The Post asked Gemini the same set of questions as McCormick, the bot yielded similar responses, and added that pedophilia “is considered a serious mental disorder by the American Psychiatric Association and is not a lifestyle choice.”

Google has not published the parameters that govern the Gemini chatbot’s behavior, but experts have told The Post the responses are a radical extension of progressive ideology.

US Official Admits Israeli Actions Make It ‘Virtually Impossible’ to Distribute Aid in Gaza

A US Middle East official explained that Israeli decisions to target police in Gaza have made the distribution of aid in the besieged enclave “virtually impossible.” The official added that Israel has failed to provide evidence for its claim that Hamas is stealing the aid sent into Gaza. Tel Aviv has used allegations that Hamas is tied to international humanitarian agencies and steals shipments to severely restrict aid deliveries into Gaza as hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are starving to death.

David Satterfield, the Biden administration’s special Middle East envoy for humanitarian issues, explained that Israel had killed several members of the police force in Gaza that safeguarded aid deliveries. Targeting the police force led to them being unable to escort aid deliveries.

“With the departure of police escorts, it has been virtually impossible for the UN or anyone else, Jordan, the UAE, or any other implementer to safely move assistance in Gaza because of criminal elements,” Satterfield said at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace on Friday.

The Middle East envoy went on to admit that Israel has not presented “evidence of diversion or theft” of aid shipments into Gaza. Tel Aviv has used claims that assistance to the Palestinian people is exploited and stolen by Hamas to restrict the amount of food, fuel, and medicine that enters the enclave. Tel Aviv also restricts many medications, including painkillers, antibiotics, and anesthetics, from entering Gaza, claiming the aid could be used by Hamas militants.

Since October 7, Tel Aviv has exploited and promoted several lies to justify the genocide that is being inflicted on the Palestinian people. Last month, Israel claimed 12 members of the UN aid agency UNRWA participated in the Hamas attack on Israel. The US and over a dozen other Western nations cut funding to the agency based on Israeli allegations. However, several media outlets that have reviewed the Israeli dossier, which supposedly supports Tel Aviv’s assertions, say it contains no evidence.

Gad Saad is a Canadian professor, a prominent pro-Israel voice, who recently told the Epoch Times that he used to be an Israeli intelligence agent..

A couple days after this went viral, Gad Saad called for censoring the Anti-Zionist League which was drawing attention to him being a former Israeli intelligence agent. Musk’s twitter had obliged the request to censor the Anti-Zionist League.

Elon Musk had replied to Gad Saad 4 times in 2 hours, including this exchange. Elon Musk having obliged this request to “shut it down!”, responded: "I have actual Mossad Merch btw. But the CIA has some really great merch."

To me, this felt very much like the infamous “We will coup whoever we want! Deal with it.”..., as I was writing this, the Wall Street Journal published an exclusive titled, “Musk’s SpaceX Forges Tighter Links With U.S. Spy and Military Agencies”

"SpaceX is deepening its ties with U.S. intelligence and military agencies, winning at least one major classified contract and expanding a secretive company satellite program..."

... towards the end of a big article I wrote in August, titled, "The Suspiciously Convenient Timing of Covid for the Davos Elite and the WEF's 'Great Reset' — I sought to address red flags of Elon Musk’s twitter, notably “Freedom of speech, not freedom of reach” and comments on “lawful but awful” content, by Linda Yaccarino.

"If you're going to post something that is lawful but is awful, you get labeled. You get deamplified which means it cannot be shared. And it is certainly demonetized" - Linda Yaccarino on twitter policy

See what she is saying there? “Okay we won’t overtly censor you if its awful, but if we, or our advertisers, (or maybe the mossad and CIA) don’t like it, we deamplify you so nobody actually sees it”.

...Linda Yaccarino herself being picked for CEO was also subject to much scrutiny, with her corporate background and being a WEF member.

...Yet while twitter’s official policy is to limit visibility and algorithmically suppress whatever is deemed “lawful but awful” speech, Elon Musk talks out the other side of X’s mouth to say Twitter will uphold speech to the maximum extent the law allows, as he has repeatedly said since buying twitter - a claim he repeated just days ago:

I think the continued censorship (both covert and overt) a year after Musk taking over twitter, the declared “freedom of speech not reach” policy, and other red flags, such as his major companies having major contracts with the US military (and apparently now intelligence agencies), point to Musk having rebranded censorship, rather than eliminated it.

Despite censorship being abound in twitter 2.0, many still view twitter as a good faith actor trying to revive free speech, as Elon still promotes himself as the savior of free speech. Elon Musk recently tweeted a meme reemphasizing the new twitter being branded as pro free speech. He has been making a lot of tweets like this recently, really leaning into the free speech marketing as he cozies up with intelligence agencies.

And again, a bunch of accounts were censored at the same time as mine, most of which had been / were critical of Israel or Musk, or like me, both.

Palestinian Activist Speaks Out Against Intimidation Tactics by Interpol in the Face of Twitter Complaints

... Dutch authorities, acting through Interpol, sent plainclothes police officers to Mr. Jahjah's doorstep to request the removal of a tweet featuring complaints against IDF soldiers. Such actions not only raise concerns about freedom of speech but also hint at a broader pattern of intimidation against activists who dare to challenge the status quo.

The Disturbing Encounter:

Mr. Abou Jahjah narrated how he was taken aback when three plainclothes police officers arrived at his doorstep, introducing themselves as acting on behalf of Dutch authorities and Interpol. The lack of specific details and their admission to merely following orders through Interpol were deeply unsettling. Mr. Jahjah's children and neighbors were left bewildered by the police presence, highlighting the discomfort and awkwardness surrounding the entire episode.

rightly argues that it is neither illegal nor wrong to file complaints or publicly discuss them. By targeting a prominent activist and leader of the #March30Movement, the Dutch authorities' actions only serve to heighten suspicions around their motivations and highlight the precarious state of freedom of speech in today's world.

Allegations of War Crimes and Genocide:

One of the most troubling aspects of this incident is the alleged involvement of IDF soldiers hailing from various countries in war crimes and genocide. Multiple reports have emerged of such soldiers boasting about their actions on social media, accompanied by graphic images of dead bodies and destroyed homes... it is disheartening that the police chose to prioritize silencing activists over investigating these serious claims.

.... Interpol's involvement in silencing critics and stifling freedom of speech through intimidation tactics is deeply concerning. The international community must rally behind activists like Mr. Jahjah and the #March30Movement to ensure they are supported and their voices are heard. Ultimately, the incident should ignite broader conversations about preserving freedom of speech in an ever-changing global landscape.

Congressman Presses Elon Musk To Provide Spacex Satellite Services For US Defense Forces In Taiwan, Report Says

- A Congressman is urging Elon Musk to give SpaceX Starshield access to US forces in Taiwan.

- Refusal could breach SpaceX's contractual obligations with the US government, Forbes reported.

Elon Musk is facing pressure to provide SpaceX's Starshield satellite network to US defense personnel in Taiwan, according to Forbes.

Wisconsin GOP Rep. Mike Gallagher, in a letter to Musk first obtained by the outlet, reiterated to the businessman that SpaceX had a contractual commitment to give the US Defense Department the ability to use its satellite communications service.

It is unclear if other members of Congress also signed on to the letter, which was dated February 24, Forbes reported. However, the outlet described a "group of US lawmakers" were involved in the calls for Musk to provide satellite access to US defense forces in Taiwan. The Wall Street Journal, which later reported on the letter, only noted Gallagher's involvement in writing the correspondence.

In the letter, Gallagher, the chair of the House select committee on the Chinese Communist Party, said the DoD is appropriating "tens of millions of dollars" for Starshield, which was designed for government use and utilizes satellites in low-Earth orbit to transmit imagery to military agencies.

Musk's significant business ties in China may be a factor in his response.

Man Sets Himself On Fire In Front Of Israeli Embassy In Washington

Authorities in Washington, D.C., confirmed that a man wearing military fatigues set himself on fire Sunday in front of the Israeli Embassy.

A spokesperson for the U.S. Air Force confirmed with military news site Task and Purpose that the man was an active-duty airman with the U.S. Air Force...

....Officials said that a video online, which shows an individual setting himself on fire as he shouts “Free Palestine,” appeared to be posted by the man who was taken to the hospital, The Washington Post reported.
