House Passes Bill to Work Against Countries Normalizing with Syria
On Wednesday (Feb 14), the House passed a bill that prohibits the US from opening diplomatic relations with the Syrian government of Bashar al-Assad and expands harsh sanctions on Syria to prevent other countries from normalizing with Syria.
The Assad Regime Anti-Normalization Act passed in a vote of 389-32, demonstrating broad bipartisan support for the economic war against Syria. Only 28 Democrats and four Republicans voted against the bill. The legislation now heads to the Senate.
The bill was introduced as a reaction to Arab countries repairing relations with the Assad government and Syria being brought back into the Arab league. Hawks in the US are opposed to Syria’s regional integration and are hoping they can prevent it using sanctions under the Caesar Act.
The Caesar Act was implemented in 2020 and allows the US to sanction any individual or entity that does business with the Syrian government.
On top of the economic sanctions on Syria, the US has about 900 troops occupying the eastern portion of the country, where it backs the Kurdish-led SDF and controls oil fields.

Russian Opposition Leader Alexei Navalny Dies in Prison at Age 47
The Russian activist and Putin critic Alexei Navalny has died in jail, the country’s prison service has said, in what may be seen as a political assassination.
Navalny, 47, was being held in a jail about 40 miles north of the Arctic Circle where he had been sentenced to 19 years under a “special regime.”
In a statement, the federal penitentiary service for the region where Navalny was incarcerated said that he had “felt unwell after a walk and almost immediately lost consciousness.”
“All necessary resuscitation measures were carried out but did not yield positive results,” the statement read. “The paramedics confirmed the death of the convict.” The Kremlin said Putin had been informed of his death but had no further information.
Navalny, who once referred to Muslims as cockroaches that must be exterminated, looked healthy when he appeared by video for a courtroom appeal on Thursday (Feb 15).

10 Fluoride Facts You're Not Supposed to Know
🚰@COVID19Up: After 78 tears of ignoring its own science, the U.S. government and the industries with a stake in water fluoridation face a reckoning in court.
Despite the fact that dissent regarding the benefits of water fluoridation has been dismissed and ridiculed constantly, there have been principled researchers who have sought the truth, some unencumbered by institutional censorship, and some who had their institutions proactively destroy their careers for speaking out.
Their findings and subsequent persecution show the story of water fluoridation serves as a cautionary tale, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing scientific evidence over external pressures to safeguard public health.
1. Most Developed Countries DO NOT Fluoridate Their Water
2. Fluoridated Countries DO NOT Have Less Tooth Decay Than Non-Fluoridated Countries
3. Fluoride Affects Many Tissues in the Body Besides the Teeth
4. Fluoridation IS NOT a “Natural Process”
5. 40% of American Teenagers Show Visible Signs of Fluoride Over-Exposure
6. For Infants, Fluoridated Water Provides NO BENEFITS, ONLY RISKS
7. Fluoride Supplements Have Never Been Approved by the FDA
8. Fluoride is the Only Medicine Added to Public Water
9. Swallowing Fluoride Provides Little Benefit to Teeth
10. Disadvantaged Communities Are the Most Disadvantaged by Fluoride

Collier County, FL commissioners passed a resolution last year in response to Covid vaccine tyranny. It prevented the public from being mass medicated without informed consent. Turns out this not only applies to vaccine mandates, but also water fluoridation! Once the commissioners realized this, they had to stop water fluoridation as it is in violation of their very own law.
“Water fluoridation is a medication we are providing the citizens through their drinking water without informed consent. Based on the resolution we passed last year, we are acting in violation of our very own law.”

New Study Finds Virtually No Dental Benefit from Water Fluoridation in England
🏴🚰@COVID19Up: A new study using dental insurance records of 6.4 million adults in England found essentially no reduction in tooth decay for those living in fluoridated areas. It’s the largest ever study of the effects of fluoridation on the dental health of adults.
The LOTUS study, funded by the UK Department of Health, was intended to inform policy-makers of what to expect for future dental and economic outcomes from the current plan to expand fluoridation to all of England. Currently, only 10% of England is fluoridated. The study found “exceedingly small” reductions in caries most people would not consider meaningful.
Highlights:
• Fluoridation results in only 2% fewer cavities
• No reductions in social inequalities
• No reductions in missing teeth
• Fluoridation a likely net economic loss when capital costs are included

Is anyone out there paying attention to Sora, the new AI Text to Video tool? Is this truly another step into video/audio fakery and the "post truth" Era?
CBS News: OpenAI's new text-to-video tool, Sora, has one artificial intelligence expert "terrified"
"Generative AI tools are evolving so rapidly, and we have social network — which leads to an Achilles heel in our democracy and it couldn't have happened at a worse time," Oren Etzioni, founder of TruMedia.org, told CBS MoneyWatch. The nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting AI-based disinformation in political campaigns focuses on identifying manipulated media, including so-called deepfake videos.
New Scientist: Realism of OpenAI’s Sora video generator raises security concerns
“As with other techniques in generative AI, there is no reason to believe that text-to-video will not continue to rapidly improve – moving us closer and closer to a time when it will be difficult to distinguish the fake from the real,” says Hany Farid at the University of California, Berkeley. “This technology, if combined with AI-powered voice cloning, could open up an entirely new front when it comes to creating deepfakes of people saying and doing things they never did.”

JPMorgan Chase, BlackRock Drop Out of Massive UN Climate Alliance in Stunning Move
JPMorgan Chase and institutional investors BlackRock and State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) on Thursday (Feb 15) announced that they are quitting or, in the case of BlackRock, substantially scaling back involvement in a massive United Nations climate alliance formed to combat global warming through corporate sustainability agreements.
In a statement, the New York-based JPMorgan Chase explained that it would exit the so-called Climate Action 100+ investor group because of the expansion of its in-house sustainability team and the establishment of its climate risk framework in recent years. BlackRock and State Street, which both manage trillions of dollars in assets, said the alliance's climate initiatives had gone too far, expressing concern about potential legal issues as well.
The stunning announcements come as the largest financial institutions in the U.S. and worldwide face an onslaught of pressure from consumer advocates and Republican states over their environmental, social and governance (ESG) priorities.

Erdogan To Visit UAE, Egypt To Boost Bilateral Relations - Last Monday
Erdogan participated in the World Government Summit during his first stop in Dubai, which will take place from 12-14 February
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is scheduled to visit Egypt and the UAE in a bid to boost relations between Ankara and the two regional Arab states, according to a Daily Sabah report.
Erdogan's initial destination is Dubai, where he will participate in the WGS, a global gathering attended by notable figures ranging from the director of the World Health Organization to the president of Rwanda, in addition to delegates from the Gulf nations. Turkiye, India, and Qatar have been distinguished as guests of honor at the summit, which will take place from 12-14 February...
On 14 February, the Turkish president will travel to Egypt, marking his first visit to Cairo in over a decade. Egypt and Turkiye severed relations in 2013 but resumed diplomatic communication in 2021.

BRICS members South Africa and India have remained relatively neutral, although in this author’s opinion they are looking to cozy up with the Russia/China axis and its emerging economic network as they realize that their neutrality makes them out to be an apparent enemy of the US and the NATO alliance — judging by the threats of sanctions by the latter.

The AIIB and BRICS will likely play a large role in the new economic world order discussed in my last publication from a week ago. The AIIB already has half of NATO signed on, and is gaining traction with the Silk Road Belt and Road initiative.... The same goes for the gulf states, although they are not BRICS.

Erdogan Vows To Help Rebuild Gaza On First Visit To Cairo In Over A Decade
Ankara and Cairo also pledged to increase bilateral trade by $15bn
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Cairo on 14 February for his first visit to the Egyptian capital in 12 years.
The Turkish head of state was received by his counterpart, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, and the Turkish ambassador to Egypt, Salih Mutlu Sen.
The Turkish president previously indicated that the bilateral discussions will focus on defense, economics, tourism, and trade, as well as addressing Israel’s aggressions on Palestinians in Gaza. Erdogan also seeks to enhance cooperation within the Arabic-speaking world.
“I am happy to visit Cairo again after a long absence,” Erdogan said during today’s visit. “We share a common history with Egypt, and we want to raise the level of our bilateral relations.”
He noted the increasingly difficult situation in Gaza and Israel's continuous acts of aggression against the besieged enclave.
“The situation in Gaza topped the agenda of the discussions with the Egyptian President,” Erdogan said. "Israel targeted homes, places of worship, and international institutions in the Gaza Strip and did not care about international condemnation.”
He foregrounded the importance of delivering aid to Gaza, asserting that “we cannot accept the displacement of the population of the Gaza Strip … We will continue to cooperate with Egypt to rebuild Gaza and are ready to work with it in this regard.”

Israeli Military Says Hamas Will Not Be Defeated in Gaza Offensive
Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) officials have concluded that even if Israel can dismantle Hamas in Gaza, the group will continue to exist. American defense officials have warned that Israel’s indiscriminate killing in Gaza will fuel armed resistance among Palestinians.
Israel’s Channel 12 reported on Thursday (Feb 15) that even if the IDF eliminates Hamas organization in Gaza, the group will continue to fight Israel as “a terror group and a guerrilla group.” The Israeli defense officials concluded in their report that “authentic support remains” for Hamas among Palestinians.
The Israeli attacks on Gaza have killed tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians, including over 12,000 children.

Beware of Musk's plan to turn Twitter into the Everything App of the West, much like China's WeChat.
Ask questions of the people around you who continue to push for Musk. There's no excuse as far as I am concerned.
