Zelensky Claims Ukrainians Will ‘Never Forgive’ The US If Forced To Cede Donbas To Russia
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that control of the Donbas is the major sticking point preventing a deal to end the war with Russia. He claimed the Ukrainian people would not forgive him or the US if they were forced to cede additional territory to Russia.
“Emotionally, people will never forgive this. Never. They will not forgive… me, they will not forgive [the US],” Zelensky told Axios on Tuesday . Ukrainians “can’t understand why” they would be asked to give up additional land.
Zelensky made the remarks in response to US mediators proposing that Ukraine withdraw from the 10% of the Donbas it still controls. He added that ceding the region to Russia would be rejected by Ukrainians if put to a vote.
Trump told reporters on Friday, “Russia wants to make a deal, and Zelenskyy’s gonna have to get moving. Otherwise, he’s going to miss a great opportunity.” Axios asked the Ukrainian leader about President Donald Trump’s recent remarks placing pressure on Ukraine to make a deal.
Zelensky responded that it was “not fair” that Trump was putting pressure on Ukraine, but he hoped it was just the President’s “tactics.”
The Ukrainian leader said there were other issues to be resolved before a deal is signed. Zelensky said Ukraine is requesting a 60-day ceasefire to hold elections, and Russia is offering a truce on election day.
Zelensky said he may run for president in a future election.

Far-right Israeli finance minister made the comments at a conference dedicated to 'strengthening the Jewish hold in Judea and Samaria'
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said Tuesday that the next Israeli government should "encourage the migration" of Palestinians from the West Bank and impose Israeli sovereignty there.
"In the long term, there is no other solution," he said. "We must complete the revolution and eliminate the idea of the Arab terrorist state."
Smotrich added that he would seek to annul the Oslo Accords.
Smotrich made the remarks during a speech presenting the "Settlement Plan for 2030" at a conference of the Religious Zionism party.
The invitation to the conference described it as "an event marking the settlement revolution, including the establishment of dozens of new communities, promotion of farms, and strengthening the Jewish hold in Judea and Samaria."
Since the October 7 attack on Israel, dozens of Palestinian communities have been expelled from their homes following harassment by settlers. Often the pattern of expulsion is similar... The IDF and the police were aware of dozens of cases of Palestinian expulsion but allowed them to continue.

The Israeli government installed security equipment and controlled access to a Manhattan apartment at 301 E. 66th Street, managed by Jeffrey Epstein and owned by his brother starting in 2016 and continuing for at least two years.
Units in the building were frequently loaned out to Epstein’s contacts and used to house underage models. Rafi Shlomo, then-director of protective service at the Israeli mission to the United Nations in New York and head of Barak’s security, corresponded with Epstein employees to arrange meetings to discuss security and coordinate installation of specialized surveillance equipment at the 66th Street residence.
Under Israeli law, former prime ministers and other high ranking officials typically receive security services after they leave office. According to the emails, Epstein personally approved the installation of the equipment and authorized meetings between his staff and Israeli security officials.
A January 2016 email exchange between Barak’s wife, Nili Priell, and an Epstein employee discussed installing alarms and surveillance equipment at the residence, including six “sensors sticked to the windows, and the ability to remotely control access to the premises.” Priell informed Epstein’s staff that, “They can neutralize the system from far, before you need somebody to enter the appartment. the only thing to do is call Rafi from the consulate and let him know who and when is entering.”
We learn two things from this: 1) That the Israeli government was working directly with Epstein through its UN rep office in New York. 2) That they were using surveillance, likely to collect kompromat.
