Inside NFL Owner Steve Tisch’s ‘Brief Association’ With Epstein
Files show Jeffrey Epstein introduced the New York Giants chairman and Hollywood producer to two women who were caught in Epstein’s web of abuse
When Steve Tisch’s private emails with Jeffrey Epstein were recently made public, the “Forrest Gump” producer said that he had a “brief association” with the sex offender where they communicated about adult women and other topics.
A deeper look at the Epstein files released by the Justice Department shows their relationship was more complex: Epstein was introducing the Hollywood mogul and National Football League team owner to women who were caught in Epstein’s web of manipulation and abuse.
Epstein connected Tisch with at least three women whom he met between 2013 and 2014, according to emails Tisch exchanged with Epstein and the women. Before the meetings, Tisch asked whether one woman was a “pro or civilian” and if a second one was a “working girl.”
The Journal was able to identify from the government files two of the women—models from Ukraine and Russia who aspired to become actresses. They didn’t respond to requests for comment.
The files show that the two women relied on Epstein financially, received medical help from his doctors, and regularly visited his properties. Epstein urged both of them to introduce him to young, attractive friends—and they shared their friends’ pictures and ages for Epstein’s approval.
The Russian woman complained in emails about sexual encounters with Epstein years before he introduced her to Tisch, the files show. Epstein pressed the Ukrainian to continue meeting Tisch after she told him that Tisch was too old to be her boyfriend, the files show.
Tisch declined to comment through a spokesman. On Jan. 30, when his correspondence with Epstein was first made public, Tisch issued a statement saying that he had a brief association with Epstein and that they discussed adult women, movies and philanthropy. “As we all know now, he was a terrible person and someone I deeply regret associating with,” he said.
Tisch, 76, is an heir of a wealthy family who went to Hollywood and produced “Risky Business” and won an Oscar for “Forrest Gump.” His family shares control of the NFL’s New York Giants where he is chairman. His cousin Jessica Tisch is the New York City Police commissioner.
The two men began exchanging emails in April 2013, the documents show. At first, Epstein, an indefatigable social networker, was anxious over whether Tisch liked him or not. But a mutual friend assured Epstein by email that Tisch had found him “fantastic and interesting” and “he was blown away by you in a positive way!”
From there, Tisch and Epstein’s relationship deepened. Formalities like email signatures and greetings faded away, replaced by blunt exchanges about women Epstein wanted to introduce to Tisch.

While departing the US, Netanyahu said he's skeptical of a deal with Iran but that Trump is 'creating conditions' for achieving a 'good one'
President Trump said on Thursday that it would be “very traumatic” for Iran if Washington and Tehran don’t reach a nuclear deal, echoing threats he made last year in the lead-up to the 12-Day War.
“We have to make a deal with Iran, otherwise it’s going to be very traumatic, very traumatic. I don’t want that to happen, but we have to make a deal,” Trump told reporters a day after holding talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House.
“We had a very good meeting yesterday with Bibi Netanyahu, and he understands. But it’s ultimately up to me. If the deal isn’t a very fair deal and a very good deal with Iran, it’s going to be a very difficult time for them,” Trump added.
The US president was asked if there was a timeline for a deal and said, “I guess over the next month … They should agree very quickly.”
Netanyahu said as he was departing the US that Trump was creating “conditions” that could lead to a “good deal,” though from Israel’s perspective, a “good” agreement would require Iran to impose limits on its ballistic missiles, a demand that is a non-starter for Tehran and likely designed to collapse diplomacy.
