In 2021, Hotez wrote that opposing Covid measures was not only anti-science but also a form of “aggression,” which he blamed on conservative politicians, academics, and news outlets.

Despite Hotez having already been caught in many lies and instances of misinformation by December 2022, the #WHO still had the audacity of amplifying his message that "anti-vaccine activism is anti-science aggression" .... but forcing millions to take experimental injections against their desire through coercion, while denying natural immunity and alongside other forms of *actual* science denial is okay apparently.

Just in Dec[2022] the WHO tweeted and promoted a video created by Dr. Hotez which declared that “anti-vaccine activism” is “a major killing force globally”

"More disturbingly, Hotez also began suggesting the need for federal action to curb what he referred to as 'anti-science groups.'

… In a September 2022 commentary published by Nature Reviews Immunology, Hotez wrote of the need to seek 'outside advice from experts in homeland security, justice, commerce and even the US State Department,' as well as 'the various United Nations agencies' to protect the world from anti-science activists.

Hotez does not offer many specifics for what he wants these agencies to do or what his aforementioned “political solutions” might look like. However, censoring or prosecuting people who commit acts of anti-science aggression would seem like a reasonable assumption. The former has become commonplace on social media, and the latter is a tactic that has been called for by the American Medical Association in efforts to silence critics of doctors providing 'gender-affirming' care to children.

Plans to bomb Iranian personnel in Iraq and Syria have been approved anyway

Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin on Thursday admitted the US does not know if Iran was operationally involved in the drone attack in Jordan that killed three American soldiers. On the same day, US officials told CBS News that plans have been approved for strikes against Iranian personnel and facilities in Iraq and Syria.

When asked by a reporter how much Iran knew about the Jordan drone attack or if it was operationally involved, Austin said, “You know, we believe that this was done by an element of what is known as the Axis of Resistance, and these are Iranian proxy groups. And how much Iran knew or didn’t know, we — we don’t know, but it really doesn’t matter because Iran sponsors these groups.”

US Strikes Iranian Military Targets in Iraq and Syria

President Joe Biden ordered strikes on the IRGC and Shia militias in response to the killing of three US soldiers in Jordan last week

The White House started its military operations against Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Quds Force and Shia militias in Iraq and Syria on Friday. The Biden administration pledged to strike Iranian targets in the Middle East after three US soldiers were killed by a drone attack in Jordan last week. The White House signaled that the campaign against Iran and Shia militias will involve several rounds of strikes.

US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported its forces dropped over 100 bombs on 85 targets. “CENTCOM forces conducted airstrikes in Iraq and Syria against Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Quds Force and affiliated militia groups,” according to the statement posted on X. “US military forces struck more than 85 targets, with numerous aircraft to include long-range bombers flown from United States. The airstrikes employed more than 125 precision munitions.”

Earlier this week, the Biden administration leaked to the media that it planned to conduct strikes on Iranian military targets outside of Iran and that the operations would take place in several waves of strikes.

CENTCOM claims the targets were hit in response to attacks on US soldiers in Iraq and Syria.

Israel Announces It Will Attack Gaza Border City of Rafah

Around 1.5 million Palestinians have fled other areas of Gaza to Rafah

The head of Israeli defense has declared victory over the city of Khan Younis and vowed his forces would attack Rafah next. Rafah is the last city in Gaza not completely destroyed by the ongoing Israeli military campaign. About 75 percent of the Strip’s population is currently sheltering in that city.

Since the start of its ground offensive, Israel has repeatedly claimed that civilians would be safe in Rafah

On Thursday, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said Israel was winning in Khan Younis, and the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) would move on to Rafah. “We are achieving our missions in Khan Younis, and we will also reach Rafah and eliminate terror elements that threaten us,” he proclaimed.

When Israel began its military campaign in Gaza, it ordered all Palestinians to leave the northern half of the Gaza Strip. Most of the internally displaced Gazans fled to Khan Younis, the largest city in the southern half of the Strip. Now, following the IDF bombardment of the city, most residents and refugees have fled, many to Rafah.

The last remaining city and refugee camp in Gaza is Rafah, a city along the enclave’s border with Egypt. Before the war, Rafah was home to 250,000 people. Currently 1.7 million Palestinians are packed into the city. Jens Laerke, a UN spokesperson for the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, explained, “Rafah is now a pressure cooker of despair, and we fear for what happens next.”

Iraqi Government Accuses U.S. of Lying About Circumstances of Airstrikes, Violating International Law

An Iraqi government spokesperson has accused the U.S. of violating international law and lying about the circumstances surrounding its retaliatory strikes over a recent attack in Jordan.

The strikes killed 16 people, including civilians, and wounded 25, Bassem Al-Awadi, Iraqi government spokesperson, said in a post on X Saturday (Feb 3). He alleged that the U.S. “deliberately deceived and falsified the facts, by announcing prior coordination to commit this aggression, which is a false claim aimed at misleading international public opinion and disavowing legal responsibility for this rejected crime in accordance with all international laws.”

Al-Awadi added that “all parties” must realize that Iraq refuses to let its lands become “an arena for settling scores,” and that the nation’s sovereignty and land are not the place to “send messages” between opponents or demonstrate force.

“This aggressive strike will put security in Iraq and the region on the brink of the abyss, and it also contradicts efforts to establish the required stability,” Al-Awadi continued.

The government spokesperson vowed Iraq would “make every effort required by moral, national, and constitutional responsibility to protect our land, our cities, and the lives of our children in all types of armed forces.”
