❗️Qatar’s emir accuses Israel of genocide, ceasefire violations
Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on 21 October accused Israel of committing genocide in Gaza and denounced its ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement.
“What happened in Gaza was genocide,” he said, affirming that the enclave remains an inseparable part of a future unified Palestinian state.
He added that Israel is not only breaching the truce but also accelerating settlement expansion in the occupied West Bank and advancing efforts to Judaise the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, all in defiance of international law.
“The international community must provide protection for the Palestinian people and ensure that perpetrators of genocide do not escape accountability,” Sheikh Tamim said, criticizing the UN for failing to uphold international legitimacy “when it comes to the tragedy of the Palestinians.”
He condemned Israel for attacking “a state that is acting as a mediator,” describing the assault as a violation of sovereignty and “state terrorism.”

Washington’s biggest law firms are issuing memoranda on the implications of NSPM-7, Trump’s new national security directive , yet virtually no one in Congress has bothered to say a thing. What little the mainstream media have said about NSPM-7 has so far been wrong , often downplaying it.
Sources tell me that NSPM-7 will likely cause the FBI’s domestic terrorism watchlist, currently at about 5,000 U.S. citizens, to double in the coming months.
Last Thursday, President Donald Trump issued National Security Presidential Memorandum-7 (NSPM-7), titled “Countering Domestic Terrorism and Organized Political Violence.” It creates a national strategy to investigate, prosecute, and dismantle organized political violence and domestic terrorism, identifying indicators of a potential domestic terrorist as the expression of “anti-Christian” or “anti-capitalism” or “anti-American” views. NSPM-7 directs the federal government to disrupt groups “before” they result in violent political acts. In other words, pre-crime.
Law firms like Arnold & Porter, WilmerHale, Caplin & Drysdale, Akin Gump, and Elias Law Group swiftly responded to NSPM-7 by issuing guidances explaining the implications for non-profits and other organizations that are among their clientele.
To date though, almost no members of Congress have commented on NSPM-7. I reached out to the following congressional leaders for a statement, but received nothing:

But the national security directive is far more consequential, as I recently explained, in that it directs the countrywide network of Joint Terrorism Task Forces to characterize, surveil, and conduct actions to thwart organizations and individuals espousing the domestic terrorism indicators described above (“anti-Christian,” “anti-capitalism” and “anti-American” rhetoric).
Legal heavyweights from Akin Gump to WilmerHale warn that NSPM-7 is not mere rhetorical theater — it presents real danger for tax exempt organizations...
Arnold & Porter, a heavyweight in Washington’s legal and policy circles, says “the stakes are high,” cautioning that NSPM-7 signals Justice Department plans to target tax-exempt organizations and their funders for criminal investigations based on actions historically protected by the First Amendment.
“The Presidential Memorandum makes clear that DOJ intends to target tax-exempt organizations and their funders for investigation and potential criminal prosecution,” the legal minds at the law firm say.

❗️Iran, Russia reaffirm strategic cooperation in talks on Syria
Russian President Vladimir Putin’s special envoy to Syria, Alexander Lavrentiev, met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Tehran on 20 October to strengthen coordination and discuss regional developments. Araghchi described the Iran-Russia partnership as “robust and expanding,” highlighting their close coordination on bilateral, regional, and international issues.
He commended Moscow’s “firm and principled” stance at the UN Security Council, particularly its opposition to attempts to misuse the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action's (JCPOA) snapback mechanism to reimpose sanctions on Iran. Lavrentiev also reaffirmed the strategic nature of the partnership and stressed the importance of regular high-level consultations on regional and global affairs.
Both sides reiterated their commitment to safeguarding Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, rejecting any foreign interference or actions that could undermine these principles.

Tehran and Moscow continue to deepen ties following an agreement to expand Iran's nuclear energy sector
Russia announced on 20 October that it is ready to deepen cooperation with Iran “in all areas,” according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, who described bilateral relations as “developing very dynamically.”
Speaking to reporters in Moscow, Peskov said Russia views Iran as a partner and criticized what he called “excessive pressure” from European states over Tehran’s nuclear program.
He added that the situation surrounding the negotiations remains “very complicated.”
The statement came as a senior Russian envoy arrived in Tehran for a meeting with Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani later that day.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said earlier that the meeting is part of the regular coordination between Moscow and Tehran, describing it as “cooperation and consultations between the two countries in various fields.”

New Investigation Identifies Over 20 Israeli Soldiers Behind Hind Rajab's Killing
Several soldiers involved in the deliberate killing of the Rajab family belong to an army unit calling itself the ‘Vampire Empire’
A new Al Jazeera documentary released on 20 October has identified the Israeli soldiers and officers who were directly involved in the killing of six-year-old Palestinian girl Hind Rajab and her family last year, as well as the rescue workers who were dispatched to the scene.
The investigation reveals the involvement of the Israeli army’s 401st Brigade. This includes Lt. Col. Daniel Ela and field officer Maj. Shon Glass.
According to the report, Glass was the one who ordered Israeli troops to fire the tank shells that killed the Rajab family in Gaza City’s Tal al-Hawa. He also ordered the attack on the ambulance teams sent to the rescue.
The soldiers belong to a unit calling itself the “Vampire Empire.”
Evidence analyzed by Forensic Architecture, as well as satellite imagery, found that their tank was within around 400 meters of the car carrying Hind and her family. The evidence also ruled out any crossfire.

Several soldiers involved in the deliberate killing of the Rajab family belong to an army unit calling itself the ‘Vampire Empire’
A new Al Jazeera documentary released on 20 October has identified the Israeli soldiers and officers who were directly involved in the killing of six-year-old Palestinian girl Hind Rajab and her family last year, as well as the rescue workers who were dispatched to the scene.
The investigation reveals the involvement of the Israeli army’s 401st Brigade. This includes Lt. Col. Daniel Ela and field officer Maj. Shon Glass.
According to the report, Glass was the one who ordered Israeli troops to fire the tank shells that killed the Rajab family in Gaza City’s Tal al-Hawa. He also ordered the attack on the ambulance teams sent to the rescue.
The soldiers belong to a unit calling itself the “Vampire Empire.”
Evidence analyzed by Forensic Architecture, as well as satellite imagery, found that their tank was within around 400 meters of the car carrying Hind and her family. The evidence also ruled out any crossfire.
