Trump Claims Gaza Ceasefire In Full Effect, Says Violations Will Be ‘Handled Toughly’
The US president’s remarks came after Israel killed over 40 Palestinians in a series of brutal airstrikes on the Gaza Strip
US President Donald Trump claimed late on 19 October that the Gaza ceasefire is still in full effect despite deadly Israeli airstrikes across the strip hours earlier.
“Yes,” the president said when asked by reporters on Air Force One if the ceasefire was still in force. “We’re going to have to see what’s happening. We want to make sure that it’s going to be very peaceful with Hamas.”
“As you know, they’ve been quite rambunctious. They’ve been doing some shooting. And we think maybe the leadership isn’t involved in that … you know, some rebels within,” he said. “But either way, it’s going to be handled properly. It’s going to be handled toughly, but properly.”
Israel carried out a massive wave of deadly airstrikes across Gaza on Sunday, killing at least 44 Palestinians.
The attacks coincided with reports that Hamas fighters in south Gaza targeted Israeli forces with an explosive device. The Israeli army later confirmed that two soldiers were killed in the city of Rafah.

Gaza Health Ministry Says At Least 80 Palestinians Killed By The IDF Since Ceasefire Went Into Effect
Gaza’s Health Ministry said on Monday that Israeli forces have killed at least 80 Palestinians and wounded 303 since October 11, the day after the ceasefire went into effect.
The Health Ministry said that a total of 45 bodies of Palestinians killed by Israeli attacks were brought to hospitals over the previous 24-hour period.
The IDF unleashed a heavy wave of airstrikes across Gaza on Sunday after alleging its troops in Rafah came under attack by Palestinian militants, though a White House official told The American Conservative that Hamas didn’t violate the truce and that an Israeli “tank hit an unexploded IED that has probably been there for months.”
The IDF announced on Sunday night that the heavy bombardment was over, but it killed at least two more Palestinians on Monday . According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA , they were killed by an Israeli strike in Gaza City. The IDF claimed its forces fired on two “terrorists” who allegedly crossed the “yellow line,” referring to the line Israeli troops withdrew to when the ceasefire went into effect, but the statement didn’t allege the Palestinians were armed.
There have been several incidents of the IDF firing on Palestinians who allegedly crossed the yellow line, which has not been marked, meaning people on the ground are unaware they’re crossing it. The Israeli military said on Monday that it had started marking the boundary by placing large yellow concrete blocks along the line every 200 meters.

⭕️ UAE secures land for first permanent embassy in Israel: Reports
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has acquired land in Israel to build a permanent embassy, in a move coordinated with the Israel Land Authority and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office, according to Israeli media reports.
Israel’s KAN broadcaster said the deal is worth tens of millions of shekels, marking a new phase in bilateral relations under the Abraham Accords despite widespread backlash over Israel’s war on Gaza. The UAE’s current mission has been operating from leased premises in Tel Aviv since 2020. Neither Emirati nor Israeli officials have commented on the reports so far.
According to The Jerusalem Post, the new embassy will be constructed in Herzliya after a four-year search.
“We welcome the fact that the building of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Israel will be constructed in Herzliya,” said Mayor Yariv Fisher, adding that he met several times with UAE Ambassador Mohammed Al Khaja to encourage the selection of the site.
The Israel Land Authority confirmed that the process began at the request of the Prime Minister’s Office and involved negotiations with multiple parties to lease land for the project.

“We formally accuse the Israeli army of stealing organs from the martyrs,” stated Dr. Ismail al-Thawabta, Director General of the Media Office, while demanding an international investigation into Israel's “torture, mutilation, and organ theft.”
The 120 bodies “arrived in extremely poor and distressing condition,” including blindfolded, bound, crushed under tanks, and missing corneas, livers, and limbs, Thawabta stated.
“The Israeli occupation executed many of them in cold blood. A large number were found blindfolded, with their hands and feet bound, and others showed signs of hanging or close-range gunfire,” he added.

Todenhöfer’s detention joins a wave of prosecutions signaling a tightening grip on digital expression.
A high-profile arrest in Germany has triggered outrage over what many see as part of an alarming encroachment on free expression .
Jürgen Todenhöfer, the author and former member of parliament, was taken into custody in Munich after publishing social media posts that likened Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s treatment of Palestinians to Nazi crimes during World War II.
Police reportedly searched his apartment and seized all electronic devices following weeks of surveillance.
The 84-year-old, once a prominent figure in the center-Right Christian Democratic Union before founding his own Justice Party in 2020, revealed on X that he had been detained, citing the message that led to his arrest: “Mister Netanyahu, does your conscience never actually protest when you do to Palestinians the same thing that the cursed Nazis did to the Jews?”
Authorities have yet to comment publicly, but the incident falls under Germany’s strict anti-incitement laws, which forbid statements perceived as diminishing the Holocaust.
Todenhöfer has never been shy about challenging Germany’s foreign policy.
His books on conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria earned him a reputation as a persistent voice against militarism. Despite his party’s lack of electoral success, his arrest has amplified his message.

Todenhöfer’s detention joins a wave of prosecutions signaling a tightening grip on digital expression.
A high-profile arrest in Germany has triggered outrage over what many see as part of an alarming encroachment on free expression .
Jürgen Todenhöfer, the author and former member of parliament, was taken into custody in Munich after publishing social media posts that likened Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s treatment of Palestinians to Nazi crimes during World War II.
Police reportedly searched his apartment and seized all electronic devices following weeks of surveillance.
The 84-year-old, once a prominent figure in the center-Right Christian Democratic Union before founding his own Justice Party in 2020, revealed on X that he had been detained, citing the message that led to his arrest: “Mister Netanyahu, does your conscience never actually protest when you do to Palestinians the same thing that the cursed Nazis did to the Jews?”
Authorities have yet to comment publicly, but the incident falls under Germany’s strict anti-incitement laws, which forbid statements perceived as diminishing the Holocaust.
Todenhöfer has never been shy about challenging Germany’s foreign policy.
His books on conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria earned him a reputation as a persistent voice against militarism. Despite his party’s lack of electoral success, his arrest has amplified his message.

US Envoy Says Syria 'Back To Our Side' After Joint Raid With Extremist-Led Govt Forces
The Syrian government, led by Ahmad al-Sharaa, has carried out multiple fake raids against ISIS targets to whitewash its own past connection to the organization
US envoy to Syria Tom Barrack declared on 19 October that Syria and the US are once again allies.
In a post on X, Barrack said, "Syria is back to our side," following reports of a joint US-Syrian security operation near Damascus, allegedly to detain an ISIS member.
Barrack commented on a post by Qatar-funded analyst Charles Lister claiming that US special forces launched a helicopter-borne raid... in cooperation with Syrian counter-terror units to capture an ISIS operative.
However, the raid raises questions about its authenticity, as the ISIS operative detained during the operation, Ahmed Abdullah al-Badri, was openly living in Dumayr and enjoyed close ties with officials in the current Syrian government, led by self-declared president and former ISIS commander Ahmad al-Sharaa.
Kurdish-Syrian journalist Scharo Maroof reported that Badri had invited the governor of Damascus, Mohammed Amer, to his guest house in September. Maroof pointed to a photo showing Badri walking alongside the governor and his delegation during their visit to Badri's home.
