BREAKING | Israel moves to encircle Gaza City, closes last road south, War Minister says anyone left behind will be considered 'terrorists'
Israeli War Minister Israel Katz said troops are moving to fully encircle Gaza City by seizing the western part of the Netzarim Corridor, cutting across the Strip from south of the city to the coast. He explained that this maneuver would tighten the encirclement and force anyone leaving Gaza City to pass through Israeli military checkpoints. Earlier in the day, the military announced that the Al-Rashid coastal road northbound into the city would close at noon, effectively sealing the last remaining route.
Katz described the closure as the “last opportunity” for residents to move south, claiming those who remain in Gaza City would be considered “terrorists and supporters of terror.”

‼️ Israel accuses Global Sumud Flotilla of being ‘Hamas project,’ says ships owned by Hamas
——
Israel’s Foreign Ministry is now accusing the Global Sumud Flotilla of being a Hamas project, claiming newly uncovered documents from Gaza show direct links between flotilla leaders and Hamas’s overseas network.
Israel points to the Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad (PCPA), which it describes as Hamas’s foreign wing, as the body mobilizing flotillas under civilian cover. It highlights an alleged 2021 letter from Ismail Haniyeh endorsing the PCPA, a list of operatives that includes long-time flotilla organizer Zaher Birawi, and the role of Saif Abu Kashk, head of a Spanish company alleged to own vessels participating in the Global Sumud Flotilla: "Thus, these ships are secretly owned by Hamas," says the foreign ministry.
Israel is framing the Sumud Flotilla as a Hamas operation, using these documents to brand it as 'terrorist'-linked rather than humanitarian — a narrative that gives a pretext for attacking the fleet.
This accusation follows recent public comments from former Israeli military figures calling for forceful military action. Admiral (Res.) Eliezer “Chayni” Marom, who oversaw the 2010 Mavi Marmara attack, warned: “(The arrival of the flotilla) is a very complex event, and it could definitely end in high friction, and in loss of life and property.” Lt. Col. (Res.) Maurice Hirsch, a 19-year veteran of Israel’s Military Advocate General Corps, added: “Anyone who tries to break the blockade, we should just drown them ... If we'd done that 10 years ago (referring to Mavi 2010), other flotillas wouldn't have arrived.”

❗️AFP: Hamas weighs amendments to Trump’s Gaza plan amid mediator pressure
A source close to Hamas told AFP the group is considering changes to President Donald Trump’s 20-point plan for Gaza, particularly clauses on disarmament and the departure of its fighters.
Intensive consultations are underway within Hamas leadership in Gaza and abroad, and with mediators in Doha. Four meetings were held Monday with Qatari and Egyptian officials, joined by Turkish representatives, where Hamas insisted on international guarantees for a full Israeli withdrawal and respect for a ceasefire.
Trump’s plan, backed by Netanyahu, calls for an immediate halt to the war once accepted, the release of captives and Palestinian prisoners, Hamas disarmament, and governance of Gaza by a technocratic committee under international oversight, including former British PM Tony Blair. Israel would gradually withdraw but retain a “security belt.”
According to AFP, there are two main views within Hamas: one favoring unconditional acceptance with mediators ensuring Israel’s compliance, and another rejecting disarmament and the forced removal of members, favoring conditional approval with clarifications.
No final decision has been made, with Hamas expected to announce its stance within days. Trump has threatened the movement with a “bleak fate” if it refuses, while Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani emphasized the plan needs more clarification, especially regarding Israeli withdrawal, stressing the priority is to end the war.

❗️Israeli warships harass Gaza aid flotilla nearing Khan Yunis
The Global Sumud Flotilla says it is now 130 nautical miles from Khan Yunis and expects to reach Gaza within 20–22 hours. Palestinian-origin European Parliament member Rima Hassan, speaking from on board, said: “All vessels are on maximum alert as Israeli warships close in. We are bracing for an imminent assault,” adding that they will arrive in Gaza tomorrow.
Earlier in the morning, the flotilla reported coming under an Israeli intimidation attack, with warships circling vessels and disrupting communications.
Despite this, and amid reports of Israeli forces accelerating preparations, the flotilla continues on course through the so-called ‘orange zone,’ the same waters where previous aid ships were intercepted. Organizers said the mission remains determined to break the blockade and deliver aid to Gaza.

❗️Israel blocks last remaining route linking Gaza City and south Gaza
This morning, the Israeli army announced it would close Al-Rashid Street, the last remaining route linking southern Gaza to Gaza City. Spokesman Avichay Adraee said movement south will still be allowed without inspection for those evacuating, but the closure cuts off the final corridor northward. For residents, this means the last road out of Gaza City is being sealed, tightening the siege as displacement and isolation deepen.
The Government Media Office in Gaza said Israel’s closure of Al-Rashid Street is part of its policy of siege and genocide against Palestinians. The road is a vital civilian artery linking governorates across the Strip, and its closure cuts off safe passage for thousands of displaced families.
The statement stressed that the move is intended to forcibly displace the population, endanger lives, and deprive Palestinians of their natural right to free movement.
It held Israel and the US fully responsible for the humanitarian consequences and called on the UN and international community to take urgent action to restore unrestricted civilian travel inside Gaza.

❗️Mustafa Barghouti, Secretary-General of the Palestinian National Initiative, described Trump’s Gaza plan as a “great disappointment” filled with “mines,” adding that it is a "recipe for the continuation of the war, rather than ending it."
He said it disregards Palestinian self-determination and avoids confronting the central issue of Israeli occupation.

❗️Palestinian women in Gaza recount sexual exploitation linked to aid sites and organizations
As Gaza’s humanitarian crisis deepens, women report being exploited by local men tied to aid organizations, who offered food, money, water, supplies, or jobs in exchange for sexual favors.
Six women shared their experiences with The Associated Press on condition of anonymity. Some men’s demands were explicit, “Let me touch you,” one woman recalled, while others were framed in 'terms' such as “I want to marry you” or “Let’s go together somewhere.”
Five of the women said they refused such advances, though psychologists told AP that others have at times agreed.
One widow described how, after giving her phone number to a man wearing a UNRWA uniform at a designated humanitarian zone in Mawasi, she began receiving late-night sexual calls. She reported the incident to UNRWA in Gaza but said she was told she needed recordings as proof, something her old phone could not provide.

❗️ US judge blocks Trump bid to deport pro-Palestine students
A US federal judge has ruled that the Trump administration acted unlawfully by attempting to deport pro-Palestine student activists in order to silence criticism of Israel, violating their First Amendment rights.
Judge William Young, appointed under Ronald Reagan, condemned Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem for abusing their powers, writing that Trump’s conduct broke his oath to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States” and amounted to a “full-throated assault on the First Amendment.”
