Ghislaine Maxwell Told DOJ Trump Never Did Anything Concerning Around Her: Sources

The Trump administration is considering releasing transcripts of the interview.

During her nine hours speaking with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche last month, Ghislaine Maxwell said nothing during the interview that would be harmful to President Donald Trump, telling Blanche that Trump had never done anything in her presence that would have caused concern, according to sources familiar with what Maxwell said.

The Trump administration, meanwhile, is considering publicly releasing the transcripts from the interview, multiple sources familiar with the internal discussions told ABC News.

Maxwell's meetings with Blanche took place for nine hours over two days.

There is also an audio recording of the interview, the sources said, but it's not clear whether the administration plans to release the audio to accompany any public release of the transcript.

...ABC previously reported that it was Maxwell who requested the interview with the DOJ, according to sources familiar with the matter. Maxwell is also asking the Supreme Court to review her conviction and Trump has not ruled out a pardon for her.

Cop Sent Intimate Texts And Watched Tiktoks While Suspect Died In Back Of His Cruiser, Lawsuit Alleges

A police officer is accused of sending intimate texts and watching TikTok videos while a man suffering from a mental health crisis overdosed in the backseat of his police cruiser.

Nathan Bradford Smith, 33, died last July after he was arrested by the Coos Bay Police Department in Oregon for disorderly conduct while appearing to be high on methamphetamine, according to a lawsuit filed on behalf of his family.

Officers interacted with Smith twice that day before they discovered him lying on the sidewalk in front of a Motel 6.

The first time was around 11 am when they took Smith's meth pipe, and the second was around 3 pm when they responded to a report that he was screaming outside of a business and scaring customers.

Officers Benjamin Martin, Tristan Smith, and Wesley O’Connor came in contact with the man a third time when he was lying on a sidewalk in front of the motel around 5 pm.

Attorneys representing Smith's family argue that body camera footage shows that responding officers treated him 'aggressively' even though he didn't resist arrest.

O'Connor is heard over the radio stating, 'Get your hand away from me you weirdo,' during the arrest.

O'Connor was also seen putting his weight on Smith's left shoulder and grabbing his left wrist during the arrest.

The lawsuit accuses the officers of neglecting Smith's mental state and arresting him instead.

Smith struggled to move his body, and his breath was rapid and exaggerated when he entered the police vehicle, according to the lawsuit.

The officers are accused of not providing medical care to Smith while he was gasping for air with his eyes closed in the backseat.

Dash camera footage showed Smith slumping in the backseat of the car. When Martin arrived at the police department, he allegedly sprayed his vehicle with air freshener and abandoned Smith in the car with the windows closed.

'While in CBPD headquarters, Defendant [Martin] scrolled on his phone, reviewed and responded to intimate text messages, and looked at TikTok for several minutes,' the lawsuit states.

As the officer allegedly scrolled on his phone inside the department, Smith was 'shaking uncontrollably and gasping for breath' in the vehicle.

Officer Martin scrolled through TikTok and responded to a text message that read, 'I’m so ready for snuggles I feel like i haven’t seen you in a week,' Oregon Live reported, citing a police report.

Israel's Army Formed Special Intel Unit To 'justify Killing' Of Hundreds Of Gaza Journalists

The unit, called the ‘Legitimization Cell,’ was established by the military intelligence directorate, which includes Unit 8200

Israeli investigative journalist Yuval Abraham said on 11 August that Israel’s military intelligence created a special unit aimed specifically at justifying attacks in Gaza, including the killing of journalists.

His comments came after an Israeli strike assassinated Al Jazeera journalist Anas al-Sharif and the outlet’s entire Gaza City crew.

“After 7 October, a team called the ‘Legitimization Cell’ was established in AMAN,” Abraham said, referring to the Israeli military intelligence directorate, which includes Unit 8200.

“Intelligence personnel searched for information to provide ‘legitimization’ for the army’s actions in Gaza, failed Hamas launches, use of human shields, exploitation of the civilian population. A primary mission … was to find Gazan journalists who could be portrayed in the media as Hamas operatives in disguise,” the journalist added.

Abraham confirmed that the goal was to “whitewash the killing of all other journalists” by creating doubt, adding that “entire days were invested in this matter, and they found nothing.”

Stanford Researchers Develop Brain Implant Capable Of "Decoding Inner Speech" In Real-Time, Bringing Society Closer To An Era Of "Brain Transparency."

Stanford researchers advanced brain-computer interface (BCI) technology by decoding inner speech—internal monologue—with implants reading neural signals in four people with severe movement disorders.

Unlike past devices requiring strenuous attempts to vocalize, this system decoded silently imagined words, drawing from a 125,000-word vocabulary with real-time accuracy rates ranging from 46% to 74%.

The study confirmed that the motor cortex activates similarly during both attempted and inner speech, though inner speech produces weaker signals. By isolating those signals, researchers translated internal sentences into audio, enabling speech without movement.

One participant had nearly 99% accuracy using a mental "password"—“chitty chitty bang bang”—to enable or disable the system, a breakthrough against involuntary decoding of private thoughts.

The technology revealed cases of unintended inner speech, such as counting shapes, raising red flags around cognitive privacy. In response, the team implemented privacy safeguards, including filtering out inner speech data and requiring user intent to initiate decoding.

Lead researcher Kunz acknowledged ethical risks but emphasized the focus remains on aiding people who can’t speak. However, experts warned that expanding capabilities bring society closer to an era of "brain transparency," where unspoken thoughts could be exposed.
