They are a branch of that same oligarchy, draping themselves in a pax-Americana to be presented as a bulwark against the “woke left”; seemingly preserving traditional American values against the encroaching dregs of Marxism through a veil of pseudo-patriotism. A new polarity in the old paradigm.
