Trump Deploys Nuclear Subs Amid War Of Words With Russia's Medvedev

The US president and the former Russian president have exchanged verbal threats about possible nuclear strikes amid the wars in Iran and Ukraine

US President Donald Trump ordered the repositioning of two nuclear submarines on 2 August in response to “highly provocative” comments made by Dmitry Medvedev, the deputy chairman of Russia's Security Council.

“I have ordered two Nuclear Submarines to be positioned in the appropriate regions, just in case these foolish and inflammatory statements are more than just that,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social Platform on Friday.

On Thursday, Medvedev had warned that Trump should be mindful of “how dangerous” Russia's nuclear weapons could be.

“Words are very important, and can often lead to unintended consequences, I hope this will not be one of those instances,” Trump stated.

In recent weeks, Trump has been exchanging public insults and nuclear threats with Medvedev, who is viewed as close to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

SDF, Syrian Government Forces Face Off In Aleppo Clashes — 8/4

The Kurdish-backed SDF is under pressure to integrate its forces into the Syrian military

Armed clashes erupted early in the morning on 4 August between the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Syrian government forces near the town of Deir Hafer in northern Syria.

The US-backed SDF issued a statement saying that factions affiliated with Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa’s government “launched an attack on four of our positions” in the town in Aleppo Governorate.

“Our forces confronted the attack and responded as necessary in defense of our positions and fighters. Clashes ensued and continued for 20 uninterrupted minutes.”

The SDF said Sharaa’s government was “fully responsible” for the attack while adding it reserves the right to respond “with full force and determination.”

On Sunday, Syria’s Defense Ministry accused the SDF of launching a barrage of rockets on an army outpost in the Manbij countryside in northern Syria, injuring four troops and three civilians. The ministry described the attack as irresponsible and without justification.

Tomorrow or Thursday the Lebanese president President and Prime Minister might put the state against Hezbullah in the most direct and confrontational way in decades.

Aoun and Nawaf might want to disarm Hezbullah and they definitely share this goal with Israel and the U.S, however Israel and its patron didn't give this government a single shred of legitimacy or guarantees in regards to the end of attacks, occupation, prisoners so on.

They didn't give this government a single accomplishment to drive the narrative, especially after Hezbullah fully and for the first time ever at this scale, fully disarmed south of the Litani river.

There is one certainty, Hezbullah will not disarm.

There is also on certainty, Israel wants to occupy these parts of Lebanon forever and wants to force Lebanon into normalization that starts with disarming Hezbullah and ends with outlawing Hezbullah

President Aoun officially received from the American envoy a definitive rejection of the Lebanese observations that demand the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation from the occupied Lebanese territories.

The withdrawal should have been part of the ceasefire that the U.S sponsored back in November 2024.

Yet they aren't willing to even withdraw temporarily now from a demilitarized area as a sign of good will to give the Lebanese state real momentum to ask Hezbullah to disarm

They aren't giving the Lebanese state anything to justify its actions. They are using a stick without a carrot.

🚨 REPORT via Channel 13: Leaked Israeli Records Show Government Pursued Starvation Strategy to Force Hamas Surrender

Channel 13 has published internal Israeli government transcripts from March 2025 revealing that Israel’s war cabinet knowingly restricted all humanitarian aid to Gaza in hopes it would break Hamas—a strategy that inflicted mass suffering but failed to deliver desired results. The records also show that Israel was not met with resistance or bad faith in negotiations with Hamas — yet it broke the ceasefire and escalated anyway.

These classified internal “protocols” (meeting records) shared by the Israeli news outlet show that top military and intelligence leaders urged Netanyahu to move forward to “Phase B” of the already agreed ceasefire deal—arguing that all captives could be released if talks moved to negotiating terms to end the war. They believed even a temporary pause in fighting could bring the captives home, and that Israel could resume the war afterward anyway. Netanyahu rejected them.

Israel unilaterally broke the ceasefire anyway and resumed the killings in March.

Five months later, 50 living and dead captives remain. Food classification bodies have stated the “worst-case scenario of famine” is unfolding in Gaza.

The Israeli government bet on famine. Its own records confirm it, and the strategy failed. It inflicted mass suffering, further shattered Israel’s global standing, and did not move Hamas.

The Hostage Families Forum called the revelations “damning,” saying the government “knowingly and deliberately sabotaged” rescue deals and “led the public astray.”
