Telegram Announces Partnership With Musk

Elon Musk’s startup xAI will invest $300 million and deploy its Grok AI chatbot in partnership with the messaging app Telegram, according to a statement by the app’s CEO Pavel Durov published on Wednesday.

In announcing the deal, Durov said that he and Musk had agreed to a one-year partnership designed to strengthen Telegram’s financial position.

We will receive $300M in cash and equity from xAI, plus 50% of the revenue from xAI subscriptions sold via Telegram,” he said.

Musk later stated on X that “no deal has been signed,” without providing any additional details, prompting Durov to clarify that the parties had reached an agreement in principle, with formalities still to be finalized.

Telegram said Grok AI is set to be integrated into Telegram, with users expected to begin accessing the AI-powered features starting this summer. Users will be able to interact with Grok directly within the app, using a built-in chatbot to generate content or engage in open-ended conversations on a wide range of topics.

BREAKING - UAE PRESIDENT SAYS UAE TO INVEST $1.4T IN U.S OVER NEXT 10 YEARS
UAE’s Sub-Imperial Project: Erecting A Covert Empire Across The Red Sea

From Sudan to Socotra, the UAE fuses soft power with militarized control to dominate trade routes, fuel proxy wars, and entrench Israeli–Emirati security interests across the Horn of Africa and Yemen.

Since 2015, the UAE has abandoned its historical posture of neutrality in favor of assertive regional entanglements. This transition coincided with the rise of Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan (MbZ) to the position of commander of the armed forces and, eventually, the presidency.

Under his leadership, the UAE accelerated a strategy that fuses militarization with aggressive branding of soft power....

Abu Dhabi established military bases, armed and financed allied factions, raised mercenary armies, and intervened directly in conflicts – most notably in Yemen and across the Horn of Africa – while simultaneously promoting a national image of modernity and openness.

Ports, profit, and proxy militias

To entrench its influence, the UAE has adopted a dual strategy of economic penetration and military entrenchment. Through investment vehicles such as DP World [Connected to Epstein], Abu Dhabi has taken control of vital maritime routes, setting up logistical hubs, training camps, and bases in fragile and fragmented states.

These initiatives target strategic chokepoints along the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean, notably Bab al-Mandab and the coasts of Yemen and the Horn of Africa, under the guise of ensuring maritime security.

Sudanese journalist Kamal Sir al-Khatem tells The Cradle that this expansion is not merely commercial but represents a broader “sub-imperial” project:
"The UAE represents a model of a peripheral state that practices imperialism within its own region, while at the same time remaining dependent on the United States as the main imperialist power."

He highlights the UAE's $60 billion investment footprint in Africa, placing it just behind China, the EU, and the US in foreign investment rankings. Beyond port development, these investments include logistics, supply chains, energy, agriculture, and mineral extraction, particularly in countries with weak governance and oversight.

Abu Dhabi's approach weaves together economic ventures and militarized interventions in a coordinated manner that allows it to neutralize rival ports and assert control over pivotal hubs like Djibouti, Aden, and Port Sudan. These efforts reflect strategic ambitions to monopolize regional trade arteries and reinforce its leverage in global shipping...

The Israeli occupation state's normalization with the UAE has further deepened military-strategic cooperation, particularly after 2023's Operation Al-Aqsa Flood reshaped West Asian alignments. This cooperation is rooted in shared security doctrines and manifests in joint projects and intelligence collaboration across contested zones.

Russian Nuclear Doctrine Triggered

Ukraine’s drone strike reportedly targeted a Russian nuclear-capable bomber base — technically activating Russia’s nuclear doctrine.
Putin hasn’t launched nukes…

He hasn’t even turned off Ukraine’s power grid…

But the targeting of Russia’s strategic deterrent is a clear red line.

This isn’t theory anymore.
It’s doctrine.

⭕️ ISIS claims first attack on Syria’s new government forces since the fall of Bashar al-Assad

The US-backed Islamic State (ISIS) has claimed responsibility for its first attack against the new Syrian government forces, according to a statement published by SITE Intelligence Group on Thursday.

The group says it detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) planted earlier on a Syrian military vehicle in Sweida, killing one and injuring three soldiers from the 70th Division. While ISIS activity has persisted in northeastern Syria, attacks on the newly installed government in Damascus have been rare since it took power in December 2024.

⭕️ Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan calls for establishment of Zangezur Corridor to connect Turkiye to the 'broader Turkic world'

Speaking from Azerbaijan, Erdogan expressed support for the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and emphasized the importance of establishing the Zangezur Corridor — a transport route intended to connect Azerbaijan to Nakhchivan through Armenia’s Syunik Province.

He dismissed concerns about Iran obstructing the corridor, highlighting that the project is not only a link between Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan, but also a strategic route connecting Turkiye to the broader Turkic world.

Erdogan called on Iran to support the initiative, framing it as a mutually beneficial opportunity for regional peace, development, and cooperation.

❗️Somaliland says US recognition 'is on the horizon'

"We are a partner in security ... a partner in counter-terrorism ... a partner in safe marine routes for world trade."

Somaliland's new president Abdirahman Mohammad Abdullahi says that it is “likely” that the country will be recognized, as US president Donald Trump could be the first leader to recognise Somaliland in return for building a military base near the port of Berbera, a strategic location on the Gulf of Aden.

Project 2025, a Trump administration initiative, proposes the recognition of Somaliland as a “hedge against the US’s deteriorating position in Djibouti."

“Recognition is on the horizon,” said Abdullahi.

“It’s a matter of time. Not if, but when and who will lead the recognition of Somaliland,” he added.

Abdullahi also said that US military officials, including the Horn of Africa’s most senior officer, have recently visited the capital Hargeisa. Another Washington delegation is expected to “evaluate the asset (Berbera).”
