A recent poll shows most Israelis support ending the Israel-Hamas War, prioritizing hostage return over toppling Hamas.

A majority of Israelis think that it is time to end the Israel-Hamas War, according to a recent Israel Democracy Institute poll.

Approximately 53% of the total sample, 45% of Jews, and 93% of Arabs think that it is time to end the war, according to the poll, whereas 43% of Jews, 5% of Arabs, and 36% of the total sample think that it is not time to end the war.

When asked what the main reason the war should be ended is, 53% of Israelis said that it should be ended because its “continuation endangers the hostages.” Fifty-six percent of Jews and 45% of Arabs said that the hostages were the main reason that the war should be ended.

The next largest group, 16%, said that the war should be ended to enable Israel’s leadership and the IDF to focus their attention on the northern front.

Fifteen percent of Jews and 11% of Arabs said that the war should be ended because “the fighting has already achieved most of what can be achieved.”

Ben Gvir To Rejoin Netanyahu Coalition Praising Mass Killings In Gaza

Israeli warplanes unleashed a new bombing campaign on Gaza overnight, killing over 400 Palestinians

With the Israeli military’s resumption of the genocidal war on Palestinians in Gaza, former Israeli national security minister Itamar Ben Gvir’s Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Power) party announced it will return to the government, the Times of Israel reported on 18 March.

In a joint statement, Otzma Yehudit and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s ruling Likud party announced that they have “agreed that the Otzma Yehudit faction will return to the Israeli government today, and Otzma Yehudit ministers will return to the government.”

The reappointment of Ben Gvir requires both the approval of the cabinet and the ratification of the Knesset, which is expected to come on Wednesday.

Otzma Yehudit quit Netanyahu’s coalition in January in protest of the ceasefire reached with Hamas.

Early on Tuesday, Israel unleashed a horrific series of aerial attacks, killing over 400 Palestinians in less than 24 hours, including women and children, as well as Palestinian resistance leaders.

IDF probe finds over 500 Palestinians invaded border kibbutz where 386 residents were present during Oct. 7 Hamas onslaught, as understaffed security team tried to fight with no backup

On the morning of October 7, 2023, over 500 Palestinian terrorists swarmed into the unsuspecting Gaza border community of Kibbutz Nir Oz. The army — plunged into complete disarray by the shock attack on dozens of towns and military posts simultaneously — entirely failed to come to the rescue, as the terrorists moved from home to home, brutalizing, massacring, and kidnapping dozens of civilians.

The first soldiers to arrive at Nir Oz on October 7 did so some 40 minutes after the last terrorist left.

On Friday, the Israel Defense Forces presented its probe into the attack on Nir Oz — among its detailed investigations of some 40 battles and massacres that took place during Hamas’s October 7 onslaught, when some 5,600 terrorists stormed across the border, killed some 1,200 people, and took 251 hostages to Gaza.

The probe highlighted the heroism of Nir Oz’s local security team, whose few members fought on their own for about two hours before being killed or wounded, and the bravery of residents who did everything they could to protect themselves and their loved ones. It also highlighted the army’s colossal failures that allowed throngs of terrorists to overrun the kibbutz without seeing a single soldier.

The probe concluded that the IDF “failed in its mission to protect” the residents of Nir Oz, largely because the military had never prepared for such an event — an Israeli community being captured by terrorists, as well as a widescale attack on numerous towns and army bases simultaneously by thousands of terrorists.

Unlike other Israeli border communities attacked on October 7, the IDF did not fight any terrorists in Nir Oz, a community of around 420 residents, 386 of whom were there during the onslaught.

Government Corruption Worsens Humanitarian Crisis In War-Torn Sudan

The military-led administration in Port Sudan has been diverting aid meant for displaced civilians to be sold on the market

Reports have emerged revealing that food aid arriving in Sudan has been sold on the market instead of distributed to those in need, exposing corruption within the military-led government in Port Sudan and worsening the country's already dire humanitarian crisis.

Transparency International's October 2024 Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) reported that corruption in the Port Sudan government has exceeded $4.6 billion in humanitarian and financial aid.

Aid being diverted away from desperate civilians and entering markets has worsened hunger in displacement shelters across army-controlled eastern, northern, and central Sudan. Though considered safe zones, displaced people in these areas depend on free kitchens funded by donations.

The Famine Review Committee under the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) reported in December 2024 that famine conditions exist in at least five locations, including North Darfur and the western Nuba Mountains in South Kordofan.

The UN estimates that 25 million people – more than half the population – face acute food insecurity, including over 11 million displaced by two years of conflict, with no ceasefire in sight. Sudan’s military has rejected all peace initiatives.
