Yemen Launches Ballistic Missile At Israel, Says 'no Dialing Down' Despite US War

Yemeni officials say the armed forces will continue to defend Gaza despite threats from the US or 'requests' from Iran

The Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) launched a ballistic missile toward Israel, triggering rocket sirens to sound across the northern Negev on the evening of March 18.

The Israeli military said it had intercepted a ballistic missile launched from Yemen before it crossed into Israeli territory.

Sirens blared in Beersheba, Merhav Am, Nevatim, and Revivim, among other locations.

On Monday, the foreign minister of Yemen's National Salvation Government said in an interview with Reuters that the YAF will not "dial down" their military operations targeting Israeli shipping in the Red Sea in response to threats from the US military or pressure from its ally Iran.

The comments from Foreign Minister Jamal Amer came after US and UK warplanes killed 31 people in air strikes against Yemen on Saturday. The YAF responded by attacking the USS Eisenhower on Monday.

Trump Gave Israel The ‘Green Light’ To Restart Large-Scale Bombing In Gaza

The US is backing Israel's escalation by blaming the slaughter of Palestinians on Hamas

According to a report from The Wall Street Journal , President Trump gave Israel the “green light” to restart its genocidal war on Gaza by launching massive airstrikes on the besieged territory, which killed at least 404 Palestinians , including scores of women and children, on Tuesday morning.

The report, which cited an Israeli official, said Trump was given a heads-up before Israel began launching the strikes. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that Israel consulted with Trump before launching the bombing and repeated the president’s threat that “all hell would break loose.”

In his nearly two months in office, President Trump has rushed military aid to Israel , approving over $12 billion in arms deals and sending 2,000-pound bombs. Trump has also repeatedly called for the permanent expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza, emboldening the members of the Israeli government whose goal is ethnic cleansing.

The US strongly backed Israel at the UN Security Council on Tuesday , claiming the blame for the escalation “lies solely” with Hamas. The US and Israel are justifying the escalation by pointing to Hamas’s rejection of a US proposal for a temporary ceasefire.

Hamas has maintained that it wanted the full implementation of the ceasefire deal reached in January, which would have led to an Israeli withdrawal, a permanent ceasefire, and the release of the remaining Israeli hostages in Gaza. Israel repeatedly violated the agreement, including by imposing a total blockade on aid and all other goods entering Gaza on March 2.

Maersk Shareholders To Vote On Banning Israel Arms Transfers Over Gaza Genocide

The vote comes as Israel resumes its brutal war on the strip, killing at least 420 people in less than 24 hours

Shareholders in Danish shipping giant Maersk are set to hold a vote on 18 March for a proposal to cease weapons shipments to Israel for as long as it is waging war on Gaza.

The vote comes as Israel has renewed its genocidal campaign against the strip, killing over 420 Palestinians since early Tuesday morning.

Weapons transfers to Israel are “in violation of international conventions, assuming that military equipment, weapons, and components were used in Israeli army operations where international conventions are breached,” shareholder Zen Donen told AFP.

Yet the shipping firm’s board does not support the proposal.

“The premise of the proposal is not correct, as the company is not transporting arms to Israel,” the company said, despite recent investigative reports in Danish media claiming otherwise. The reports show that Maersk has shipped armored combat vehicles and other military hardware to Israel.
