Nullify the CDC and WHO?
A New Hampshire bill would ban the state from participating in the “enforcement of, or any collaboration with the enforcement of, any requirements, mandates, recommendations, instructions or guidance provided by either organization.”
HB1156 would prohibit "any requirements, mandates, recommendations, instructions, or guidance" from being used to justify or give legal effect to "any mask, vaccine or testing requirements."
The Libertarian Party of New Hampshire commented on the matter: "A few reps introducing this bill regularly come to our events."

The US Navy Bought Surveillance Data Through Adtech Company Owned by Military Contractor Which Harvests Location Data From Smartphones
Similar to how government agencies have been caught operating.
A report from 404 Media, for the most part based on Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, has put the pieces of a puzzle together to reveal that the US Navy was in business with an adtech company – that “just” happened to be owned by a major military contractor.
The company, nContext, is owned by Sierra Nevada Corporation, and what this triangle of surveillance was “keeping in the family” is the business of personal data changing hands, and reportedly, global (globally collected) data, at that.
404 Media writes that the public records it has seen show that the Navy was able to use a software tool (called, the Sierra Nevada nContext Vanir) that the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) uses for its surveillance operations around the world.

nContext, supposedly in the adtech (i.e., marketing) business, is behind developing that tool. However, the publicly available documents do not detail what kind of data the company had at its disposal, that was up for sale.
Above all, this is yet another example of how the ad industry – supposedly innocuous, other than for the suspicious amount of money it generates – actually can, and does at times work in insidious ways.

CNN Exclusive: Nearly Half Of The Israeli Munitions Dropped On Gaza Are Imprecise ‘Dumb Bombs,’ US Intelligence Assessment Finds
Nearly half of the air-to-ground munitions that Israel has used in Gaza in its war with Hamas since October 7 have been unguided, otherwise known as “dumb bombs,” according to a new US intelligence assessment.
The assessment, compiled by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and described to CNN by three sources who have seen it, says that about 40-45% of the 29,000 air-to-ground munitions Israel has used have been unguided. The rest have been precision-guided munitions, the assessment says.
Unguided munitions are typically less precise and can pose a greater threat to civilians, especially in such a densely populated area like Gaza. The rate at which Israel is using the dumb bombs may be contributing to the soaring civilian death toll.
On Tuesday, President Joe Biden said Israel has been engaged in “indiscriminate bombing” in Gaza.
Kim Iverson contextualized, "CNN was able to go into Gaza through Egypt without Israeli escorts. They’re saying there is no safe place in Gaza and the number of injured children is astonishing. They’re also reporting Israel is using “dumb bombs” which are unguided and completely destroy the narrative that Israel is doing all it can to limit civilian casualties."

In Zakarpattia, in the building of Keretsky village council, a deputy detonated grenades: he was killed and 11 more people were injured, the National Police of Ukraine said.

"According to preliminary information, as a result of the explosion, one person, the fuse itself, was killed, and 11 more people were injured," the National Police said.

The family of an Alabama inmate who was found dead in his bed filed a federal lawsuit alleging that his heart had been removed before the facility returned the body to them.
Brandon Dotson's relatives also said they are still waiting to find out how he died on Nov. 16 at Ventress Correctional Facility in Clayton.
"Plaintiffs were a grieving family searching for answers in the wake of Brandon Dotson's untimely death," said a lawsuit filed on Dec. 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. "Defendant's overall mistreatment of Mr. Dotson's body and the Dotson family amounts to outrageous conduct that needlessly and recklessly intensified the family's emotional distress."
Dotson, 43, was found dead in his bed at the prison, according to the suit. He had been serving 99 years for a burglary offense, according to NBC affiliate WMTV of Madison, Wisconsin.
The warden called Dotson's brother on the evening of Nov. 16 and informed him of the death. The brother told the warden that the family wanted the body to be released to them, according to the suit.
Dotson's mother, Audrey South, had requested that the facility not touch her son's body but she was informed by the warden that the Alabama Department of Corrections had to complete an autopsy, the lawsuit stated.
When the family received the body on Nov. 21, they immediately had concerns.
The lawsuit alleged that a pathologist hired by the family to conduct a second autopsy discovered that Dotson's heart had been removed from his body.

Israel Is Using An AI System To Find Targets In Gaza. Experts Say It's Just The Start
The pace is astonishing: In the wake of the brutal attacks by Hamas-led militants on October 7, Israeli forces have struck more than 22,000 targets inside Gaza, a small strip of land along the Mediterranean coast. Just since the temporary truce broke down on December 1, Israel's Air Force has hit more than 3,500 sites.
The Israeli military says it's using artificial intelligence to select many of these targets in real-time. The military claims that the AI system, named "the Gospel," has helped it to rapidly identify enemy combatants and equipment, while reducing civilian casualties.
But critics warn the system is unproven at best — and at worst, providing a technological justification for the killing of thousands of Palestinian civilians.
"It appears to be an attack aimed at maximum devastation of the Gaza Strip," says Lucy Suchman, an anthropologist and professor emeritus at Lancaster University in England who studies military technology. If the AI system is really working as claimed by Israel's military, "how do you explain that?" she asks.
Other experts question whether any AI can take on a job as consequential as targeting humans on the battlefield.
"AI algorithms are notoriously flawed with high error rates observed across applications that require precision, accuracy, and safety," warns Heidy Khlaaf, Engineering Director of AI Assurance at Trail of Bits, a technology security firm.

The pace is astonishing: In the wake of the brutal attacks by Hamas-led militants on October 7, Israeli forces have struck more than 22,000 targets inside Gaza, a small strip of land along the Mediterranean coast. Just since the temporary truce broke down on December 1, Israel's Air Force has hit more than 3,500 sites.
The Israeli military says it's using artificial intelligence to select many of these targets in real-time. The military claims that the AI system, named "the Gospel," has helped it to rapidly identify enemy combatants and equipment, while reducing civilian casualties.
But critics warn the system is unproven at best — and at worst, providing a technological justification for the killing of thousands of Palestinian civilians.
"It appears to be an attack aimed at maximum devastation of the Gaza Strip," says Lucy Suchman, an anthropologist and professor emeritus at Lancaster University in England who studies military technology. If the AI system is really working as claimed by Israel's military, "how do you explain that?" she asks.
Other experts question whether any AI can take on a job as consequential as targeting humans on the battlefield.
"AI algorithms are notoriously flawed with high error rates observed across applications that require precision, accuracy, and safety," warns Heidy Khlaaf, Engineering Director of AI Assurance at Trail of Bits, a technology security firm.

If his latest property development is any clue, Mark Zuckerberg might be a biiit of a doomsday prepper.
The Meta CEO is reportedly building a massive compound in Kauai, Hawaii, that will include features like a 5,000-square-foot underground bunker and an escape hatch, and be self-sufficient with its own energy, food, and water supply, according to a Wired article out Thursday, citing sources and planning documents obtained through public records requests.
Construction on Zuckerberg's compound, called Koolau Ranch, is estimated to cost around $100 million; coupled with the $170 million spent on the land for the property, the total price tag sits around $270 million, though that's likely still an underestimate, according to Wired.

Israel Tells Washington To Stop Talk Of 'Two-state Solution'
As international support for Israel's carpet bombing of Gaza nosedives, Biden and Netanyahu have found themselves at odds about the outcome of the war
Israeli officials have been urging the White House in secret from publicly talking about a two-state solution as a by-product of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation on 7 October, four Israeli and US officials have told the Times of Israel.
“A two-state solution after what happened on October 7 is a reward to Hamas,” one of the Israeli officials said.
The message has been voiced by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, former war chief Benny Gantz, President Isaac Herzog, and even opposition leader Yair Lapid.
“Netanyahu is the one saying it loudly and bluntly, but there truly isn’t any appetite right now in Israel across the political spectrum for the idea of two states,” an Israeli official added.
Gantz commented on a two-state solution on Thursday night, although he refrained from using the term “state.”
“It is clear to both us and our partners that the old concepts and the reality of the past decades need to change and be forward-looking,” Gantz said.
Herzog had told AP that he urges "against just saying ‘two-state solution.’ Why? Because there is an emotional chapter here that must be dealt with. My nation is in bereavement. My nation is in trauma.”
Such concerns by Israeli officials echo a similar claim made by Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian earlier this week when he said that the only thing Iran and Israel share is that neither believes in a two-state solution.
The message from Israeli officials to the US comes as the White House has recently tried to voice some dissent about the mass murder of Palestinians in Gaza.

Huge Solar Flare, Strongest Since 2017, Disrupts Earth Radio Communications
A huge solar flare, the biggest since 2017, disrupted radio communication for two hours on Earth Thursday. It was detected by a NASA telescope.
"This is likely one of the largest solar radio events ever recorded," the U.S. Space Weather Prediction Center said in a statement. "Radio communication interference with aircraft were reported by multiple NWS Center Weather Service Units co-located at FAA facilities.
These impacts were felt from one end of the Nation to the other. Additionally, SWPC is analyzing a possible Earth-directed Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) associated with this flare."
The CME is an outburst of plasma from the sun. This eruption happened in the northwest section of the sun.
NASA said in a statement, "The sun emitted a strong solar flare, peaking at 12:02 p.m. EST, on Dec. 14, 2023. NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory, which watches the sun constantly, captured an image of the event."
NASA said solar flares are powerful bursts of energy that can affect not just radio communications, but electric power grids, and navigation signals while also posing potential hazards to spacecraft and astronauts.
The flare was classified as an X2.8 flare. X class is used by NASA to describe the most intense solar flares.
