After scrolling through this Sicarios account, I noticed a photo that resembled one I've seen before. It turned out to be from a propaganda account on Facebook claiming to be "Operativa Fuerza Zacatecana" In the post, we can see the propaganda account claiming R3 is Bruno, which I find hard to believe (it's definitely not Bruno) that Bruno is uploading his whereabouts and clashes to TikTok.

Context: Bruno is a high ranking commander who leads a group of sicarios called Grupo de Reacción Bruno (G.D.R.B.). They operate in Zacatecas and are affiliated with Los Cabrera/CDS Mayito Flaco.

Female CJNG sicaria recently killed

Another example of the increasing female presence within cartels, this female CJNG sicaria who was killed just days ago, likely in Michoacán.

Women have always had a role in cartels, but the number of female sicarias getting closer to the violence, carrying weapons and taking part in gunfights has visibly increased in the last few years.

CJNG is one of the more prevalent groups for this, especially in Michoacán (another example).

Comandante 97/Bladiz C.T.E.

Comandante 97 operates in southern Sinaloa in and near the municipality of Escuinapa, where Gente del Güero Pin operate. It is also where most of the battle footage he uploads is said to take place. Comandante 97/Bladiz is part of Comando Táctico Escorpión (C.T.E) an armed wing under the command of 02 and 03 of the Cabrera family (Los Cabrera), who are allies of Mayito Flaco.

Comandante 97 has been operating and commanding sicarios in Sinaloa against CDS Chapitos sicarios for over a year now. We can see this from footage (here) posted by Mexicanbelik on TG showing Comandante 97 clashing with what is likely CDS Chapitos sicarios over a year ago. From the second video posted by Belik, we can see that he is wearing the same outfit and holding the same weapon as on the cover art of his corrido "El 97 de Vivorillas - PORTE BÉLICO."

El Army: Alleged US military veteran with the Sinaloa cartel

In Chiapas, there is a commander in the CDS/Mayiza who, according to people on the ground and various corridos dedicated to him, is a Mexican-born US military GWOT veteran.

With the very creative callsign El Army, this subject supposedly brought his experience from the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts back to Mexico. He operates under Jesús Esteban Machado Meza, El Güero Pulseras, with his own group: the Fuerzas Especiales Army.

Other details available from corridos dedicated to him are that he is originally from Mexicali, the son of a commander killed in Oct 2003.

Slide 4 shows some of his men, two of whom can be seen with FE Army patches. Holding the RPD is his cousin, El Paisa, who also has his own corrido (slide 5), seen again in slide 6.

Without El Army’s identity, his story can’t be verified. It is also possible that he embellished his background. I have a hard time believing that a GWOT vet would buy into the cartel “special forces” theme.
